I think the fact this show got this large through almost entirely through word of mouth just speaks to how wanted and NEEDED this show was for people. WE NEED A SEASON 2!!!!

The first 3 episodes are hilarious! Definitely not for everyone but for those who like the kind of humour in the same line of What we do in the Shadows it's a blast of a series!

Love this show! Definitely needs a season 2. The workplace comedy humor was fun, especially with the learning how to be real pirates storyline going on. I love the absurdity and stupidity of the situations.
This show made me laugh and cry. It's so funny, heartfelt, and occasionally heartbreaking. The LGBTQ and BIPOC representation was awesome. The joy I feel at Stede and Ed being canon is unparalleled. Thank you for not queerbaiting us. Our Flag Means Death is my favorite comedy in years. I hope it wins all the Emmy awards. I need season 2 now!

You know what sure woud be nice? To let these people create Our Flag Means Death one more time for Season 3! This show touched so many people and helped so many to feel seen for the first time in their lives. Amazingly amusing! Everything Taika takes on is so wonderfully creative. There are such wonderful depth to all of these characters, I can hardly wait each week for new episodes!
Thanks Tumblr for talking about this show otherwise I’d have missed this jewel!!! It’s exactly what I needed: something funny and sweet with a lot of colorful characters. I feel like I’m going back in time, when I was head over heels in love with Pirates of the Caribbean 😂 Anyway, it’s been a while since I watched anything new because I don’t trust anything new (GoT trauma I guess) and what a good surprise it was! Our Flag Means Death has a special place in my heart now so thank you really much for making this TV show 🙏🏻

it seems like this show is just propelled by word of mouth. My feeds are absolutely flooding with fanart and that's what prompted me to get hbomax... just because everyone was so excited about it. Everyone seemed genuinely touched. Not just 'oh this show's cool' but 'oh my heart is broken and I'm in love and I need more'.

Please, PLEASE For the love of everything good in the world renew Our Flag Means Death for season 2 this show is so good and funny it has everything you could ever want in a show, after the Lucifer season 6 final I thought I couldn't trust another show to be good and gave up on a show to have a decent ending, Ofmd brought back my love for a new series and it's such a nice feeling to have again.

Taika Waititi is also great, I watched just as much for him, he usually directs more than acts but it's always cool to see him.
@@kylecook7187 And he was amazing! Many times he only acted with his eyes (I mean they were almost the only visible parts of his face :D) and those eyes told everything Ed thought and felt.
