I absolutely love this song. I grew up listening to the BoDeans and I am honored to be friends with Kurt and his wife Barbra and their family. Barbra and their Daughter Tessa are strong and speak highly against abuse. I love this family 💖
Waukesha is my hometown, and I was a freshman at Catholic Memorial high school when Love & Hope & Sex & Dreams was released. I really enjoyed their debut, but it was Outside Looking In, and specifically this song and “Dreams” that made me fall in love with the band. Kurt has one of my favorite voices in rock. He’s such a criminally under appreciated vocalist and songwriter. When I think of Heartland rock, it’s the BoDeans, and then everyone else gets in line behind them. Best to you from Texas!
One of my favorite bands. Some of my other favorite bands that not many know about: The Freddy Jones Band, The Samples, and Big Head Todd and the Monsters.
Thanks for this! Awesome band; very under-rated. Their two albums "Outside Looking In" and "Go Slow Down" are absolute masterpieces, with strong tracks top to bottom. Give them a listen if you haven't already.
Saw these guys at least 10 times in the late-80s & early-90s. The contast in vocals was awesome and I really thought they'd be one of the next great bands. But at least they should be getting residuals from Party of Five replays.
