- It has been a huge privilege overseeing the animation on Bleeding Edge and being responsible for animating the complete set of animations for 7 player characters! This ‘Gameplay Animation Showreel’ showcases a selection of the animations I created for Daemon, Níðhöggr, Buttercup, Miko, Cass, Gizmo and El Bastardo. All animations have been captured from Unreal Engine and appear as they do in-game. 100% keyframe - enjoy!
A huge shout-out to David Garcia (davidgarciadiaz.squarespace.com/) who cut the music for this reel from his, and Jamie Molloy’s (jamiemolloysound.com/original) tracks for Bleeding Edge.
The wonderful FX have been left in to create context for the attacks and abilities - created by Tobias Noller (artstation.com/tobiastobasco).
Character Models: Bao Vu (artstation.com/baovu).
Rigging: Jacob Feeley (artstation.com/jfeez).

That electric guitar zombie-android deserved to be in a waaaaaaaay better game. Those animations are otherworldly -- could have been the star in his own game.

Never heard of this game. Apparently it's a multiplayer game that was abandoned after only a year or so.
I'm starting college for game art and design this year, your a huge inspiration man so glad I found your channel. I want to do this so bad but I have very little 3D experience, gonna give it my all wish me luck!!! is there anything you would say to a starting out game animator?
Study anatomy to understand the biomechanics of movement, don't be afraid to use video reference and become a fanatical hobbyist! Read everything you can about animation, follow tutorials and saturate yourself in the medium. Don't allow perfectionism to bog you down early on. Create an animation and then abandon it and move on. It takes 1000s of hours to get good so just keep at it :) Good luck!
@@WarwickEwanMellow I really appreciate it seriously, that's real advice from a pro, I'm really gonna treasure that. perfectionism is something I struggled with for the longest time and I eventually realized how much it held me back, mentally I really feel like I can do this now, I'm happy just to create and feel passion for something.

Animated in Maya, models built using Zbrush etc.
