I have randomly came across of Solomon's discussion on the talk show he dose with some guy which I don't recall his name but whenever asking Solomon a question or his input he simms afraid or cautious where is Solomon always straightforward and to the point which I truly love keep it up Mr Solomon...
Solomon Shumiye's arguments may appear sincere to some, but they have inconsistencies: 1. He opposes the current Ethiopian flag due to its emblem, yet supports the national anthem. 2. He is against Finfine (Addis Ababa) as the capital of Sheger City, but favors Addis Ababa as the seat of the African Union. 3. He believes that only those fluent in Amharic should sing the Ethiopian national anthem. 4. While Finfine is located in the heart of Oromia, he argues it should not be the capital of Oromia. Can a mother claim that the child in her womb is not hers? A father can deny paternity, but only until DNA is tested. Solomon's stance reflects a mindset of contempt and denial.
Solomon is by far a better analyst or journalist there is in ethiopia. I have watched lots of his shows in shay buna especially about ethiopian federalism and ethnic nationalism and the likes. The only problem i see with him is he is a bit stubborn which leads him to pre-consider and decide other rival ideas will be wrong eventually. But still he has developed through time to accept and live with opposing opinions and he genuinely believes in discussions. I admire that.

Of all the comments, yours makes more sense to me. In my opinion, the other person did his best. Solomon did not let him finish stating his question or view. Solomon may have good ideas but he "won" primarily by suppressing the other person's views (even by insulting him). I respect the other person's professionality in tolerating the insult and still treating Solomon with respect.
Solomon Shumye has been rejecting both ethnic federalism and nation nationalists just over a year ago. I think he is sensing that TDF and other nation Nationalities wining over the genocide that declared up on them. Anyway never too late and we expect other so called Ethiopianists to do the same.
