    Thank you for the tips! I gave up buying paper towels and napkins. We use cloth napkins that I made out of a bunch of spare fabric I had. I use just regular kitchen towels instead of paper towels.

    So many great helpful tips. So much of saving money is about not being lazy. DIY takes time, effort and creativity but it is worth the final outcome of saving money. It also creates an incredible sense of accomplishment and self satisfaction. Learning to sew, cook, bake, paint craft ,etc. keeps you busy and takes up time allowing you to save money on entertainment.

    I keep a spreadsheet of where i spend money. Yes somethings are worth the extra money so they don't break and you don't have to repair it or buy a new one e.g. cars. I learned to make food at home and not eat in the canteen so much

    All really good advice, however I was kinda surprised you didn't mention Ebates when ordering online. You not only save cash when shopping online using Ebates, but you also get cash BACK! They send a check to your door after you've earned so many points for using their site. They're linked with the majority of the major online stores like amazon, ebay, etc.

    I love that you live in a big city! That is awesome because so many budgeters are in smaller areas and the struggles for budgeting are different. As a budgeter in a larger city myself, it's nice to have encouragement of someone who understand the struggle. Love the finding free things to do and working at a gym.

    Really enjoyed your video! The only thing I disagree is with the brand / not brand clothing thing. Personally when I shop I know exactly what I want. But I prefer to give more in clothing if has more quality and therefor last longer. Still I prefer to have less clothing but better quality.

    • @TheLuxeTraveler702
      @TheLuxeTraveler702 8 років тому +2

      I agree. I noticed that I was spending way too much money on clothes from lower end stores and the items didn't last after 2 washes (lol). I now invest in quality pieces that last alot longer, but still able to keep my minimal wardrobe.

    • @missbehelpful
      @missbehelpful  8 років тому +4

      I agree with you both! I don't think name brand clothes are the only high quality clothes, though. Often times they are overpriced because of the brand and not always the best quality. Totally hear you on the investment being worth it when you buy better quality clothing! Thanks for watching, ladies!

      Yes! People underestimate it but if you look at my insta from March 2016 you can see a dress that I made instead of paying 2 or 3 hundred for it! Little bits add up to a lot! Also you can sew alterations on your clothes and not pay a cleaners to do it, and you can even charge others to do their alterations so you make a little extra money that way too! Thanks for watching and commenting!

      Um iphones might be overrated and overpriced.
      But macbooks and imacs have a less chance of going bad. Never had an issue with them. Windows gets viruses and go bad so easily

    You're very beautiful, you can wear any regular clothes and still be pretty. Screw the brand, by wearing brand name clothes, you're a living marketing tool.

    It's easy to tell others how to save 50% of your income when you don't pay all of your bills tho,ijs. Pay all of your bills rent,light gas water etc w no roommates/help then give tips,that would actually be helpful

      I used to do that actually when my rent was 1350 per month and that's one of the reasons I got roommates because it's not worth it to pay that much alone. Thanks for commenting!
