Very eloquent synopsis of a very painful reality of our faith. I don't think I ever really wrapped my head around, "the passion,' until I saw the movie, "The Passion of Christ," with Jim Caviezel as Jesus. It was torture to watch but it was a wake up call. It made me recognize His human-ness and Jesus' mother Mary's humanity also. Throughout my life I think I was desensitized, distracted, embarrassed or maybe in denial about the need to really understand the 'stories' of our faith. As I grow older - I find that I have more interest, patience, and understanding about our faith. I still feel like I know next to nothing but I look forward to learning and growing in my faith every day. Thank you for sharing your knowledge, perspective and thoughts. Happy Easter Billy!
