They will have different dialects, you will not be able to understand them with just Duolingo/similar. Living and working here is not that easy.
The name of the educational institution is Riveria. There are no institution wide English requirements. Study programs using English as the language of tuition are clearly a small minority. Language proficiency requirements are always study program specific even though naturally they tend to follow the same pattern in a institution, if the requirement parameters remain the same. As you can see from their website, study programs using English as the language of tuition tend to have the requirement of 85 points from the Dualingo English test.
For most foreigners: darkness and coldness of winter (5-6 months a year, in darkest months you will not see the sun at all if you wake up early and study till afternoon!). Isolation, as Finns are not interested in making friends. Unique culture and language; old Uralic language not related to other Nordics. Many cultural habits that might be hard to get used to (punctuality, silence, independent and stern nature of Finns). Expensive.
