- Lulu goes to a department store to exchange her doll for something else. While looking for a new item Lulu manages to terrorize the section manager, ski down the escalators, and cause a noahic flood in the store.
YAY I FOUND IT! I used to watch this EVERY TIME I went to my grandma and granddad's house! I can't believe I found it! This almost makes me cry it brings back so many memories!
"Oh, the wattle is bwoken WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!" It's always amusing seing grown men go so nuts that they act like babies. And I especially liked the ending.
Little Lulu, Little Lulu with freckles on your skin-
Always in and out of trouble....But mostly always in-
Usin' Daddy's necktie for the tail of your Kite-
Usin' Mommy's lipstick for the letters you write-
Though the clock says 7:30....Its really after 10-
Looks like Lulu's been repairing it again-
THOUGH YOUR WILD AS ANY ZULU
AND JUST AS HARD TO TAME
Little Lulu, I love you-lu, just the same the same-
Little Lulu, I love you, just the same.
Cool song!
Some one has to know the name of the VHS tape we all watched as kids
The polar bear kid, Aladdin, little lulu, Herman the mouse
+Alfredo Esparza 50 Classic All Star Cartoons - Volume 1. Produced by Anchor Bay in 1995!
I had mighty mouse vhs tape. That had a bunch of these old cartoons on it
I had it too! And one with betty boop
that man was funny for embarrassing himself in the toy carriage
I remember seeing this as a small kid in the late 1950s. Probably only once or twice ever but it stuck with me because I had a huge deja vu. We had a TV with bad sound and I didn’t know what she kept saying to the man and was terribly confused. “It’s not what I want, Mister.” At last after 60 years.... 😉
this one was my favorite little lulu episode , and the one she was on a train. i be dying laghing watching it
I love how even though the store manager was pushing lulu to buy a little girls toy, she just walks away like “nah fam I’m good”
Was born in the 90's I remember I had the old vhs' of Little Lulu and would come home from school pop in a vhs and be glued to the tv. Ahh brings back memories, living in the country Little Lulu would always keep me company hehe.
Wow, so many memories. Took me forever to find this one again!
"The customer is always right"....Yeah, THOSE days are gone. You don't even get service anymore, it's all "Self-Serve" so they can pay less people while still charging you more. When was the last time you saw a floorwalker? I've never seen one, they were before my time. I wish things were more like they were back then.
What? Every store still has cashiers. They don't pay fewer people by having self serve checkouts. It just means more people can do other jobs. So there are just as many open checkout lines while more employees can, for instance, stock shelves.
The manager could've saved himself all that trouble by refusing to exchange Lulu's doll because she didn't have the receipt.
best Little LuLu episode EVER i had it on vhs when i was a little kid along with Gabby "all's well" and Simple Simon...lol i love the Old cartoons, they were the best!!!
i wonder what he thought the vacuum bag was, before he felt it up that is...
If I were Lulu, I know what I'd exchange my crummy old doll for... a brand new child-sized new plane that could actually fly around in the air. (As if that exchange would work in real life.)
Also, even at 8 years old. I knew that store guy was perving on the vacuum bulge... but now I know it's because he assumed someone was feeling him up. XD
I remember i watched this one along with a few others on cassette... Damn that was a while ago but it's still a great cartoon!
"Wild as any zulu and just as hard to tame" Ohhh the 40s
The inflation scene isn’t even possible.. there would not be enough water for it to inflate that big!
One of my earliest memories is of watching this, it was just such a vague memory but here it is!
I'm old enough to remember these cartoons aired on TV!
As Seen on The Bozo Show (Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA Version)
Still remember this and watched it as a child. I'm a 29 year old male.
Since this cartoon is in the public domain, you'd probably be able to find it on a lot of various discount DVDs.
5:48 😆 😆 😆 She saw him and dipped!!
Thank you SO much for posting this. This episode was my favorite of all the Little Lulu VHS tapes I had. I can't believe so many others watched this! I thought I was the only one!
I remember that cartoon!
Ah, I've always loved the theme song.
I love these Famous Studios Lulu cartoons much more than the updated HBO version. So un-PC. They even removed the "wild as any Zulu" line from the theme of the new one. I swear, we are so worried about offending people we forgot to have fun.
LOL i luv the begigning when she waz riding the bike wit the siren. Luv LuLu
this brings back some great memories. I have this on a VHS and it was my favorite as a child. I would go to my grandparents house and watch it. I watched it so much that my grandfather called me Lulu, and that has always been my nickname. Thanks for sharing :)
As a kid, I'd just feel like watching this was fun. Now I just feel so bad for the floor man. Someone giving him a hard time at work but Lulu is just a child :(
As a kid, you were on Lulu’s side because you wanted to play in a department store. As an adult, you pitied the floor manager for having to deal with a bratty kid making a mess.
This is amazing! I saw this cartoon on television as a 7-8 year old, and without knowing anything about Little Lulu at the time. And when I suddenly rediscover it here on youtube, it's just as funny as it was back then! I distinctly remember several of the scenes just because they were so funny.
Little Lulu is the best! But wen i was a kid, i watched the newer Little Lulu cartoons. These ones are just as awesome! But I really like the voice of the new Lulu better! haha!
Thanks for uploading, this brings me back memories of the golden age of animation of America, I really wish we could go back to those days.
I never got the clever bit with the vaccuum bag until now ;) That was great, haha
meowkie still don't understand it this day 😢
this was one of my favs to watch as a kid. Daddy always boughtme the tapes at the store
My fav video EVER! It's fun watching this ten years later, now that I can read. xP And of course, being the only two, I never got the jist of the joke when the salesman was feeling up and squeezing the vacuum cleaner bag from behind him. XD Little Lulu cartoons are MUCH cheekier, fifteen years later! XD
Sorry to post again---I just noticed:
27 ratings, and STILL five stars! ^_^ Great to hear that people aren't overlooking older animations, even if most people think that they're terrible. (Most TASTELESS people, anyway. xD) Good on ya, Lulu! And thanks for posting this again, Tuber!
Does anyone remember the name of the VHS that had this, Fox Pop, the two guys stranded on a raft that start hallucinating eachother as food, and the one with the little gingerbread man who goes to rescue his girl?
+Erica Barnes It's called 50 Classic All Star Cartoons - Volume 1. It was produced by Anchor Bay in 1995. One of my all time childhood favorites! The gingerbread man one is called Tarts and Flowers! :)
The two guys on the raft is from a Bugs Bunny Cartoon called Wackiki Rabbit.
Little Audrey
SmolPews yes I remembered them, I had a 6-hour tape that includes 50 cartoons
@@waddlewundr1 is there a different cartoon compilation on VHS that had this same little lulu on it, but also had a really old superman cartoon on it and a cartoon about a little blue car with a face?
I haven't seen this in many years... thanks for uploading!
not sure what made the store manager so happy about a vacuum cleaner bag full of water pushing up against him for lolz...?
he thought it was a woman's fat ass
I am 19 and I have always loved cartoons from the 40's.
My favourite is Felix.
Cartoons back then were so much more clever.
And not a damned fart joke to be seen.
hahhaha
i've watch this before and i still like it hahhaha
i can't believe that it was so old and long ago.
I loved this cartoon when i was a kid...this 1 was so funny
Hahahaha. lol. Really a nice Little Lulu clip.
"And what are YOU doing in this store?!"
i can't believe I forgot this cartoon.
This was originally released in 1946- Cecil(e) Roy is "Lulu"; Jackson {"Bluto"} Beck is the nasty floorwalker...
So this is what inspired Impractical Jokers
Yeah they now have a newer one. But not so new. I watched it when I was 12 to 15 I haven't seen them again after that =(
I loved it tho!
This was on a VHS cartoon collection (the name of the tape I don't remember) if someone knows what VHS I'm talking about, tell me what it was called? I had been trying to find the tape in my house so I could look up the other cartoons from it here.
I had a Mighty Mouse vhs tape that had a bunch of these old cartoons on it
@Atalla I still got it on tape
I can't tell if the floorwalker was a dolphin, a seal or dog at the end. I guess most folks (especially those Jackson Beck does the voices of) always tend to wish they were dead when they have a run-in with somebody like Lulu!
Well someone's gettin' fired...
I still think that man's Bluto!
Haha, now that I think about it, Little Lulu could probably run rings around Eloise and Bart Simpson.
found it! i found it! yes!
I remember this episode! XD
I just found it at a thrift store on a 78!
4:03 HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Wao those were real cartoons and not this modern politically correct crap they show kids now a day.
what is the name of the DVD?
Little iyami light boom
@ThereIsNoGodButI Agreed.
@apriilraiin9 i felt the same way! back when they were on VHS lol :)
