I gotta go with the vibe of TxSU and song selection and execution. Prairie View has a good size but it's just their execution isn't there. They start out so powerful and by mid way they're sounding uninterested. Is it just me? 🤔 I guess not. We were thinking the same thing. Plus there has to be some horn holders in the tuba section!!!! Glad to see Simmons doing his thing!!! I loved his Southern arrangements.

PV has some stuff to clean up. They didn't execute as well as they could have, but I think they're catching too much flack. They have a nice sound and a few good songs. I think people get too caught up in bands needing to crank up every time or comparing them to Southern. I'm going to go check out the State Flair 5th and see how they sound now

I personally can’t blame lack of execution and the arrangements on the females. I’ve witnessed some females beasting. TXSU Tuba Section leader is a female. She is a beast. A whole section of her would be ridiculously good.
