Hi Dr. Mark. I passed Level I with your material. I am already studying for Level 2 with your classes. I am recommending you for everyone who ask me how did I pass. Thanks a lot!
What I think helped me most in quizzing and mock practice is looking over every single question’s answer and explanation. I learned on the first few exams that there was a chunk of questions, larger than I wanted, which I got correct for the wrong reason. Learning the right reason was huge in my progression. Then doing this long but meaningful process for as many practice questions as possible was the key to my passing this exam. That and formula memorization.
I passed Feb21 with 90th percentile. My tips for passing is to practice ethics and many calculations regardless from which topics. I observed from the mocks ethics and calculations combined account 40%-45% of the mock exams.
I have little sympathy for people who try to just do the bare minimum to pass the exams and end up failing. This program is meant to be a learning journey for those genuinely interested in understanding investment finance and building a career in the capital markets. These aren't just some more tests to be passed. It's not meant to be rushed through. That is why there are no awards for highest score or anything like that. People need to understand this more than anything. If you want to pass comfortably: 1. Read the CFAI material cover to cover. There is no substitute. At the end, you will be so much more knowledgeable about global investment finance and the capital markets. This will help you long after you finish the program. 2. Stop targeting the minimum passing score. Target 100% so that when you fail to reach that target, you'll still end up somewhere way above the MPS. 3. Stop treating the program as you treated your university courses. This is a learning journey and a process that is meant to be enjoyed. If you don't enjoy what you're learning about, then why are you wasting money taking the exams?
Hi Mark, just wanted to thank you! I purchased your level 1 package to help me prepare and after putting in the hours I ended up at the 90th percentile. Thanks again!

You don't arbitrarily raise the measuring tape on unsuspecting candidates who happen to be more prepared than you expected. Performance should be RELATIVE TO THE EXAM, not other candidates.

Hi Mark, for those that didn't pass Feb2021 level 1, isn't the next earliest date to retake it in August 2021 instead of the July 2021 that you mentioned?
From the CFA website: "Beginning in 2021, every candidate who does not pass their exam will have to wait a minimum of six months to retake it. For example, a Level I candidate who takes the February 2021 administration and does not pass may not sit again until the August administration"
Thanks
July for this year only.
Dr. Mark, what should be a better time of doing Q Bank/Past exam Qs, should it be after completion of a chapter or after once i complete the syllabus?
MPS is still too low, that exam was very easy. By the way Mark your videos helped me a lot! Thanks for your hard work. It is appreciated.
hi mark, to what extent is it feasible after having passed level 1 to sit level 2 at the end of august starting in beginning of may? Would you say 20 to 30 hours per week (for 4 months) is enough?
Now i feel better about passing by a somewhat slim margin.
I passed with 90%tile. It was pure self study. I don't intend to do the same with L2 and was thinking of buying a subscription for L2 but is there a way to access some of the content as a free trail before purchasing the entire package to get an idea of what to expect (Quality and quantity wise)?
Thank-you.
That sports analogy though hahahaha!!
I am looking forward to join a prep provider for CFA level 1 but I am a little confused how you show calculator calculations in your videos. Kindly suggest a video in which you have explained a question using calculator.
On the Macroscale it's unfair that there are individuals who would have passed on other sits did not pass this time around because of extraneous factors. On a Microscale we can't wallow in pity by the goalpost being moved and need to double down on our preparation process.
in this business repuation of designation matters, scarce resources are the most valuable resources
Able to score above 70% in mocks for level 2 in all subjects except ethics(65-70),derivatives and quants..
Dont know whether this would be enough 😔
Hi Dr Mark. I passed in February and am planning to take L2 in Feb 2022.
I used a lot of your free L1 videos and intend to purchase your L2 package. I would like to start earlier than Mid-June as I enjoyed having extra time for L1.
If I purchased your L2 content prior to registration opening, would this content update to the Feb 2022 curriculum once ready?
Thanks!
No it wouldn’t. Best to wait until mid-June.
@@MarkMeldrum No worries, thanks very much for the response!
The whole world had given the level 2 exam in 2019 June. In December 2020 half of the world has been given the L2 . It means passing May 2021 level 2 will be very difficult .I am a bit worried
I failed cfa level 1 😔
Same man it's okay the MPS was too high and I was literally touching the MPS but that's past now registered again and planning to score way beyond 90%
Me too...truly devastated
Bro when did result release Feb CFA L1??
It was released in month of April ??
I have a weird problem i cleared my level 1 dec 2018 attempt but i didn’t take any copy of my detailed result as i thought i can access it anytime from the cfai mail . Now i cant access my result as i learned that cfai doesn’t save the detailed results for more than a year sir is there any way i can get my detailed result now?
No idea.
@@MarkMeldrum Okay sir thanks alot for the quick reply👍🏻
I was wondering if anyone had advice for me on starting my level 2 studies. I passed level 1 - basically was touching the MPS so it was close. I decided I am going to sit for level 2 in feb 2022, so I have more time to prep. Anything I can do now to start? Buy MMs derivatives section to get ahead. etc.? Thanks!
I got over 70 for 6 subjects. One just under 70 and 3 between 50 and 60 and I did not pass.
Felt really gutted. I have to zoom into my result to see the difference between the dotted line and my score. Its literally 2 pixels away.
Hello there, Mark! I'm going to apply for Aug 2022 CFA L2. When can I buy your study materials?
???
Dr. Meldrum has his own website. Just Google search his name and you will find it.
The suspense waiting for the result is the worst part
Hello Mr Mark, I`m registered for July, 2021. If I fail, will I be able to reapply for november exam?
No, 6m have to pass
Is MPS for May level 1 is also going to be high?
i think it depends on the difficulty of the exam
Hi, Mark. I took the CFA exam in Dec 2020. After that I received the Notice of investigation. Yesterday, A sad news came to me... They void my result cause they said I misconduct in the exam. What should I do next? Plz help me. Thanks a lot!
A lot of these went out for seemingly minor issues. Just state your case.
@@MarkMeldrum I set my mobile phone in silence mode and powered it off. But 4:00 p.m my phone sound alarm clock. I was totally shocked. It turn out my phone automatically restart if I set alarm clock. I never know about this function before. They conclude I disturbed others candidates in the exams.
Hi Sir I have cleared Level 1 Exam in Feb.. & planning to give Level 2 in Feb 2022 due to some personal reasons...So wanted to ask will 2020 - 21 Level 2 syllabus content will be same for 2022 Feb Level 2 Exam or will it change. CFAI mentioned that the changes will be from 2022 but for those who are starting Level 2 now with 2020 - 21 materials will there be a problem for writing Feb 2022 Level 2 due to changes in curriculum....?
2022 will have changes over 2021.
@@MarkMeldrum Okay sir Thank You so much for your guidance everytime....Any idea though when will 2022 content be released ?
Mi-June.
Hi, in your video ua-cam.com/video/1yOQQ1qPlJU/v-deo.html&ab_channel=MarkMeldrum you were saying if the result closed to the MPS, the retaking review could be done only with the review process. If the result of Feb 2021 is 70%, would you recommend taking the August session with the full learning (start from scratch) or the review process? Thank you
Any WhatsApp discussion groups?
The right one is futbol lol
Sir when can i expect to register for level 2 for 2022 exam
There is no option as of now on CFA institute or your site
Mid-June.
@@MarkMeldrumwhen can i get a video course from your site for 2022 exam ?
Mid-June.
I signed up for November and am getting worried now. :/
Can i attempt level 2 in feb 2022?
Yes
What will happen to CFA level 2 may exam in India

@@addzeroes even i think the same, after CFAI decision on Feb L1exam
@@harshitsachan5736 yes. Do comment here if u get some solid info 🤣🤣🤣
On the other hand, I saw a video where ICAI as usual is confronting the central government for conducting ca exams from late May onwards 😂😂😂
@@parshvashah7951 hahaha well, that's India. Education more important.
@ mark
It was my 2nd attempt for CFA level 1 . With 7 subjects on and above 70% n three between 60-70 I failed the exam. Really demotivated to apply again. Please guide would it be worth to take a break and give 3rd attempt for CFA level 1 or its better to quit
Same with me. November attempt would be my 3rd attempt for level 1. I'm broken and completely clueless.
are u guys from india ?
Exactly the same for me I am crushed maybe it's not meant for me
They weren't able to accommodate for examinations all 2020? GOOD, then the answer is you pass more people when they finally get their chance to write the exam. You don't arbitrarily raise the measuring tape on unsuspecting candidates who happen to be more prepared than you expected. Performance should be RELATIVE TO THE EXAM, not other candidates.
First time I'm first
