Lol this is a crazy perspective of the 2000s! Meanwhile, I remember the supplement industry being far more active than it is now at least with local stores. Also back then the supplements had lots of good stuff in there unlike these days. Where the surprise these days is not having fentanyl in your creatine lol
Just what I came here to say. I don't know what world this guy was living in but everybody knew what the hell whey protein was back in the 2000s. I started lifting probably around 1987. We already had GNC and NFC in the malls. There was no one alive who didn't know what general nutrition center was. Everyone knew what the hell supplements were. And if you honestly had a parent who didn't know what whey protein was and was concerned cuz the kid was drinking it, I can only assume they were living under a rock somewhere in an area where they had no televisions, no radios, no internet, nothing. This is an unbelievably ridiculous take. But I'm not surprised. It seems like a lot of these guys think that the bodybuilding and power lifting and fitness industry exploded as soon as they found out about it. It's a phenomenon of the modern mind. They seem to think that nothing existed before they were born.
@@spec24 haha so true brother so true! I remember stocking up on whey creatine hmb back in the late 90s. I was only 12 or so but yes there were lots and lots of supplements AND I will argue the quality was generally better. These days you can buy spiked garbage protein from places like Walmart where you expect some kind of quality control.
Part of the big hype was all the huge athletes they sponsored who were clearly on gear were sworn to never admit to it and just say they took all these supplements so pretty much everyone 15-30 years old was running to the store to buy whey, pre workout & creatine and all those brands were making some potent stuff
The kids these days has been a thing since the time of archimides. You can go back and read in newspapers where they talk about the kids and their new music etc.
i watch this science podcast called Theories Of Everything with Curt Jaimungal and it's just shocking to see how much disagreement there is among scientists.
I am sorry and I dont mean any disrespect. Mouth and throat sounds are so overpowering, makes me feel like hearing mukbanger eating. Maybe sound person could help somehow? Sorry again :)

I really enjoy listening to this guy
I am a strength and Conditioning Coach for 3/1 AD at Ft Bliss. Nice to hear the FM 7-22 being utilized and knowledged being passed on 👍💪🔥
All I can see these days are bros shitting on science, so I would say it's grossly underrated
Started this yesterday, finished today, good talk. Not a fan of tiny ROM powerlifting, but he's on point about so much regarding sport, life, etc.

Algorithm! lets goooo for the talk at the table. Lift heavy no pencilnecrosis. When is the new stick del Hagen, Sticky Ricky episode dropping?
Is it me or is it just hard to listen to the host talk when he breathes so loud in between his sentences
It’s just you, I have been listening to Tate for a long time and don’t even notice it to be honest.
It’s not just you, I still listen but when I notice it I can’t focus
This is always, that is why i only stay short.
I listen all the time, doesn't bother me. Because i am focused on learning something. Not majoring in the minor things.
The extra sounds are minor, I’m here for the knowledge and coaching

Dave’s mouth sounds are literally my medicine for deep sleep 😂😂😂😂
