I feel very fortunate to be studying to be a Personal Trainer today with all of the knowledge that people like yourselves have obtained over the years. You are trailblazers!
Man look you guys are truly the best fitness podcast on the planet. I have 9 certifications in fitness and nutrition and I've learned more from you 3 in a month then I've ever learned in school. If people took half of you guys advice their wouldn't be an obesity epidemic. God bless you all.
I’d like to thank y’all for keeping me driven during these past couple of months! Been meaning to comment for a while now. Back in October, I was 221lbs. For height reference, I’m 5’6”. To be honest, I haven’t done too much resistance training as I have cardio. Training to join the United States Air Force and slowly but surely getting on track weight wise! I need to be 165lbs. As of this morning I weigh 206.3lbs, the lowest I’ve been in a long time! Comment is a bit scattered, but I can’t wait to see y’all grow even further! Thank you for providing your podcast to the world and keeping us informed!
After listening to your podcast and watching your videos I have gotten back into lifting again which I was scared to do because recovering from a back injury so thank you guys ❤️
Hi MindPump, thanks for your show with lots of information delivered with the right attitude! I'm 47 and I recently started resistance band exercise due to some neurological issues and recovering from 2 motor vehicle accidents in June 2019. I was thinking of purchasing Prime Bundle and maybe another that would work with bands to correct any imbalance!
Great show guys! Been listening for about 3 months now and you guys are the reason I'm back off my ass and in the gym. Love the back and forth. "Be who you are and say what you feel because those who mind don't matter and those who matter don't mind."
You guys have inspired me to do the work. I was 225 pounds 4 months ago. now I’m 165 healthy building Muscle the very happy with my results for what I have gathered from you fellas in the last few months. “WE THE PEOPLE ARE HERE AND LISTENING AND APPLYING.”
As a new personal trainer and nutrition coach it can be tempting to advertise fast weight loss solutions just to get clients. But I know that it is better to help establish habits for long term success. I love expanding my knowledge of health and fitness thorugh this show, and it has even helped me on my fitness journey. SOOO glad I got Sal's book, definately has helped me improve how i talk to others about health and fitness.
One topic I cant find much about are the effects of weight training on lung capacity.. Most searches reveal cardio and circuit training effects. Surely a heavy all body or leg session must have a postive effect?
Hey guys I love the show. Great to hear the coaching experience and real world thinking rather than just the science like most people are doing. I have a question about deloads. I know you guys like to phase training and switch the rep ranges. So let’s say 4 weeks in each like 10s, 5s, 8s, 3s. Do you just phase through them or deload in between each one??
Love this podcast!! I listened to it and made sure that my shoulders were pulled back and I did not lean forward as much in my squat, got 2 extra reps and my knees didn’t hurt later!!! I always thought it was normal to lean forward because I low bar squat. Love the I information!! Keep it up!!!
I love training and have been working towards entering my first natural women's bikini competition but there is so much information on how to prep online and a lot of it felt impossible. It wasn't until I stumbled on Mind Pump and found some of the older episodes on proper diet/nutrition and training for competition prep that I felt confident starting my training the right way. Thanks so much for the awesome FACT based fitness content, I now have my first show booked for October and I can't wait to keep learning and laughing with y'all 😊
Thank you for the info on rotational power. I train rodeo athletes, and this is extremely important for barrel racing and bull riding. Will be incorporating these tips in my programs! Love your knowledge, thank you so much for sharing.
Loving the UA-cam version while I’m stuck working from home! Much better to see you guys and the clips of what you chat about x also finally got my PT hubby into your content now he can put the show on in our home gym rather than just listen!
I finally got my mom in a gym after a health scare. She's doing CrossFit and loves it. I'm so glad that she has started lifting weights and moving. I'm constantly sending her these podcasts. It's like you guys are talking about her every day. Love your approach, your mentality and the show.
Hey guys Appreciate the content! I have a question regarding how many compound movements per muscle group is optimal for novices to do per session in a full body workout
Sick! Read the book already (amazing) and I’m about a week into anabolic... could use aesthetic after anabolic to look a little extra spicy for the later summer months down here in TX. You guys rock and keep up the great content.
Love your show!!! I’be shared with all my family/friends. Im 6 months postpartum and feeling like a new baby learning everything health/fitness for the first time! Question - how do i submit a question to potentially be answered by y’all?
Repetition, if you were the customer how would you like things explained. What sounds interesting but not overly complicated, just enough to sell yourself. Figure your customers out, the way they workout should tell you what you need to know.
Great stuff! Learning more and more everyday with the help of you guys. The strength and endurance segment was awesome, especially with the rpg analogy! Love it, keep it up!
Hi Guys, I have heard Coach Dan John state that he never programs rotational exercises in the programs for his clients (I believe Coach Dan John was a discuss athlete). His argument that the injury risk is too great for the reward these exercises bring.
I’m a trainer at LA fitness and they offer 30 minute sessions for clients to workout. What is the best way to give my clients a good workout in that amount of time?
The best episode! Talking about the real problem I see all the time! I struggle myself to be me as that’s what I preach but yet think I have to conform to what other are doing By giving short term Successes and not teaching long term success. Thank for talk about this issue!
I've been watching now for about a month, started out from number one and am almost to 100 by now. I also just watch all your new ones. I hope to be a personal trainer in the next couple years and the experience you guys give is great
Is there one of your podcast you could direct me to that would address what those that have a sedentary job can do to compensate? I’m a home health RN, and spend 90% of my day driving in my car. Thanks! And love the podcast!
hey guys! i have had a question about maps aesthetic for a little while now but haven't gotten around to ask it. its only suiting that i ask it now. i bought maps aesthetic about a month ago and recently wanted to start it. i noticed that a lot of the functional days consist of upper body movements. there is some lower body added in, but there aren't a lot of supplemental lower body movements. as a female, i thought that this program would be slightly different based on your goals. is there a specific reason for this? thanks!
I remember when I first got an office job... first desk job ever... had always stood and moved at work before... my legs and butt ached so bad! I assume from my muscles atrophying. So yes, our bodies will adapt DOWN if we don't require more out of them. :(
Idk if you guys are making something like this now in secret but I'd love to see a Biggest Loser Mindpump edition "Biggest Winner for Life". Would bring some amazing attention to your amazing podcast, brand, and book!!!
Have you guys ever seen the show “Strong”? Only one season but it was done much better as far as training for performance and strength and at the end they measured the transformations with lean mass gained and fat loss instead of total weight loss
Mind: That soft and hopefully wrinkly organ that doesn't like to listen to good advice which knows whats good for you but doesn't want to do it. Pump: Lactic acid beginning to fill the muscles which draws in water and blood to accumulate over time. Mind Pump:
What’s y’all’s opinion on the show fit to fat to fit? Health, consumer inspiration, transparent health concerns, motivation, and the conversation that fit people view fat people in typically unpleasant light or think they’re lazy but lifestyles and knowing nothing different is a huge factor for health. The other aspect y’all addressed in a previous podcast with the way body builders have been stereotyped for decades. So unfit people may view fit people with the same unpleasant view. As far as the show goes... The gaining weight factor in such a short time is obviously unhealthy and dangerous and doesn’t simulate a life of opposing decisions.
Hi, what's the minimum amount of food and sleep and exercise for SURVIVE and build muscles as a 10 hours/day 6 days/week worker? (Goal been lose 10kg of fat around the belly and build 5kg of rear delts, drinking 1 bottle of wine every week on the day off. (Before August 2021 possibly thanx)
I also noticed how a previous winner commented on Layne’s post(coach Jim?) that they lost 144 lbs in 16 weeks and have kept it off for over a year with no ill health effects. Ok data point of one, you’re an outlier it doesn’t mean it’s going to work for the majority of people and certainly doesn’t make it the best way. Anyways if I won maps aesthetic I would give it to my husband who is doing beachbody programs. Please save him. 🙏
Congratulations Winner!! Let's get your husband on the right path! Email Ann ann@mindpumpmedia.com with your full name, winning episode number, and email address you would like the program under and we will get you hooked up.
Im lovin the beef stick commercial but dam your buddy's music plug that music was extremely cringey. Love love dont cry 🤢🤢🤮🤮 keep up the great content thou
I have lost weight both via resistance training and via cardio. The resistance training resulted in weight staying off for much longer, whereas the cardio times, always resulted in almost immediate weight gain when I’d injure myself. (Usually from falling down the stairs.) This time around, I’m focusing more on resistance and walking. It worked the beat in the past.
Don't forget to check your UA-cam Notifications to see if you have any unclaimed giveaway prizes from the past!

Started the last phase on MAPS Anabolic. Loving the progress and results. I think the next step is to up my athleticism.
I feel very fortunate to be studying to be a Personal Trainer today with all of the knowledge that people like yourselves have obtained over the years. You are trailblazers!
Just finished maps powerlift and I’ve got my first competition coming up all thanks to you guys and Ben pollock. Thank you.

Been watching you guys for a couple months. Down 70 pounds after 11 months and really loving fitness. thanks for all the content and consistency!
There's an old saying to perfectly describe the unclaimed prizes situation: "They don't even know!"

Working my way through MAPS Aesthetics right now! Love it!
I’m relatively new to the show I’ve listened to it for about 6 months now. Love the content and love the tips and advice you guys give!
Starting my fitness journey again this week after a bad knee injury. The giveaway would be a great start 💪🏼💪🏼
been listening in for the past 4/5months and this is the one I needed, measurements for getting better are crucial not just the weight scale
Love listening to you guys. The perfect motivation after being off for a year due to COVID or just being lazy 😂😂

Loving the podcast as usual. Thanks!
Insert comment about Dane Hundley winning MAPS Aesthetic here.

What are your thoughts on the supplementation of magnesium, potassium, sodium in the context of an athlete?
Excited to hear this. Baseball/softball parent!
Love your show!!! I’be shared with all my family/friends. Im 6 months postpartum and feeling like a new baby learning everything health/fitness for the first time!
Question - how do i submit a question to potentially be answered by y’all?
I’m actually a trainer
Which program would be best to improve my teachings and techniques?
🧐🧐🧐🧐🧐
Repetition, if you were the customer how would you like things explained. What sounds interesting but not overly complicated, just enough to sell yourself. Figure your customers out, the way they workout should tell you what you need to know.
Maps prime and prime pro. Helps to identify weaknesses and strengths. I’m not a trainer, just a long time listener so this is an opinion
Great stuff! Learning more and more everyday with the help of you guys. The strength and endurance segment was awesome, especially with the rpg analogy! Love it, keep it up!

You guys should make your own show on weight loss. I’d watch
Trying to get that prize man 👨. All jokes aside tho just started going to the gym again. You and the knees over toes guys has been helpful.
I've been watching now for about a month, started out from number one and am almost to 100 by now. I also just watch all your new ones. I hope to be a personal trainer in the next couple years and the experience you guys give is great

How do I get on to ask a question?
I think on their Facebook or Instagram
You should read the comments you pick from the previous episodes to get it out there more

Edit: On second thought Justin.
Idk if you guys are making something like this now in secret but I'd love to see a Biggest Loser Mindpump edition "Biggest Winner for Life". Would bring some amazing attention to your amazing podcast, brand, and book!!!
Yo! Lemme get in on some of that unclaimed action!
Who won yesterday? @ mind pump podcast
Have you guys ever seen the show “Strong”?
Only one season but it was done much better as far as training for performance and strength and at the end they measured the transformations with lean mass gained and fat loss instead of total weight loss
Most people attack weightloss like a biggest loser contestant and i always share your podcast as the right methodology
Mind: That soft and hopefully wrinkly organ that doesn't like to listen to good advice which knows whats good for you but doesn't want to do it.
Pump: Lactic acid beginning to fill the muscles which draws in water and blood to accumulate over time.
Mind Pump:
The best god damn bro science there is on this floating rock we call Earth.
I would love to have the Maps to a good asthteic ;).
Love the show!
never trusted those weight loss shows; great episode tho!
I don't understand why guys that lift wear crew neck shirts. A subtle v neck shows the separation around the collar bone.

I wish the t shirt time intro was in this episode so I could see Adam’s face 🤣
Cool beans
Go follow Sal on Instagram. He’s memes/stories are hilarious 😂
I could really use a giveaway. Every time I flex people tell me they definitely know
Im lovin the beef stick commercial but dam your buddy's music plug that music was extremely cringey. Love love dont cry 🤢🤢🤮🤮 keep up the great content thou
Gotta team up wit Jamie's Oliver
"It's the meat stick man!!!"
I bet his response was "they don't even know..."
I can do windmills and medicine ball throws but I really need to work on my windmeals and medicine bell throws...😂
Sal said if it’s on tv it’s not real. Does that go for sports too? Because as a gambler I’m starting to think it’s fake too 😂
Sal looking Yolked!!
A good comment
I need maps fitness in my life
