I can't credit this show enough for my development as a trainer and coach. Doesn't matter your style of training the information can and should be applied to all strength, conditioning, and body composition clients. Keep up all the great content dudes!

I went from 125lbs at 6feet tall struggling with depression anorexia and tried to end my life, to now I am 185lbs and I can honestly say it was working out that got me healthy and saved my life. I wanna be a personal trainer/ sports nutritionist. I appreciate your information and everything you do for people that maybe you'll never see or hear this shit helps thousands of us survive. And if your reading this anyone it's okay not to be okay and keep moving forward your loved.

just started as a personal trainer at the age of 49. I was a restaurant manager for 20 years. Last 10 years have had a great a passion for fitness. I wanted to get my cert. but my job demand made it hard. This past September(2020) was laid off due to covid, being able to get money unemployment while getting my certification was just great timing for me I felt. I am currently at a studio that does semi-private training that includes unlimited group classes. I know the money will not compare to what I was making in the past but I love what I am doing now and is a much feel better environment. I think I will do a maps program, which will help me as an individual and help me as I grow as a trainer.

I just started at a big box gym as a personal trainer and the things you guys talked about in this podcast have made me really think about my position. As of now I’m not doing it for the money because I enjoy the process of learning to train and I also like helping people reach their fitness goals. Looking forward to move up the ladder and see where it takes me. Thanks for the valuable advice!

You guys are so right with all this!
-Started at Planet pizza (group training)
-Went to EOS (big box gym)
    -Started a Park BOOTCAMP
-Subleased a gym for my bootcamp
-Added personal training , online training , and more BOOTCAMP sessions
Opening my very own gym in a few months. I know that I’m going to hit the 100k mark next year 💪🏽💪🏽💪🏽
Each step I earned more money. The key is to be patient. Started a $0, saved , invested. And yes, selling is the key! Never forget the referral process! That’s the communication after the the close.

Your podcast has really helped me gain a better understanding in terms of health and fitness. For years I was very restrictive with food and thought I had to watch everything I ate and never miss a workout to reach my goals. After listening to your podcast, I have realized that it is important to have balance in your life. Also, I noticed a great change in my physique after I stopped focusing so much on my aesthetic and began focusing on my performance, which was a great suggestion I heard on your podcast! I have seen tremendous strength improvements, as well as an overall improvement in my mood, lifestyle, and approach to health and fitness. Thank you for continuing to educate your listeners! I have recently become a certified personal trainer and am currently looking for my first job opportunity to hopefully help impact the lives of others the ways you guys do!

This episode was AWESOME! You used to be very overweight and I was able to lose over 100 pounds. exercise and eating better sparked an interest for me to get into personal training. However at that time I lacked the drive to really push this into a sustainable income. Since then, I’ve become a licensed massage therapist and working as an LMT Has inspired me to become a personal trainer again. I’m interested in your prime and pro program, are there any other certification courses you would recommend?

I love your content and enjoy watching/listening and learning from you guys!
I have a full time job and only do PT as a small side gig. All of my clients are females, ages from 30s-60s. Of course all with the goal of fat loss. I focus on strength training. I seem to struggle with what to program for them. I don’t feel like any of them “seem to care” for lack of better phrase of what weight they are using. I do pay attention to a particular set and give them heavier weight if it seems too easy and as long as they can maintain proper form. I also fear them getting bored with the programming so I seem to switch it up week to week- for example BB chest press one week to DB chest press the next. Does this seem ok? And I know the value of tracking workouts, should I leave tracking weight and reps to them or take it upon myself? Again I enjoy training but its a side gig so I don’t want to overwhelm myself with added responsibilities but want to help them the best I can (and all of my clients are well aware of my full time job and it stressors alone).

    • @stylezhiiipower
      @stylezhiiipower 2 роки тому

Hey what's going on! Seen your questions and I could provide you with some answers. Strength Training is perfectly fine because you burn a lot of calories etc in the process. I'd do Superset style since it burns more calories and saves time simultaneously. If you want, after each session you could have them do HIIT on the Stationary Bike or Assault Bike since they have resistance and no impact on the knees. I have examples in my cardio video on my channel. Dont worrry about them getting bored! The body needs time to get stronger and good at the technique of movements/exercises. So change the workout every 4-6 weeks to give time for that plus muscle confusion to avoid the body adapting and plateauing. They will appreciate the Progress when you break this down so they have an understanding. Track everything in a notebook for each client: sets, reps, exercises, etc. so that you progress them accordingly and they love looking back on their Progress since the beginning because its tough to notice when seeing yourself everyday. Have a good day and try this out!

hey pump bosses - just started maps black yesterday, i think i messed up cuz it took me over 2 hours (without warm up time) im not used to the 90 second rest so the initial exercises took me awhile cuz i had the whole strength in mind.. squats i did two top sets of 3 reps and was heavy as hell for me, still had reps in the tank but was heavier than ive gone for in awhile. after that i was trying to increase the pace, but its been a longgg time since ive done more than 10 exercises in one session lol. i feel good today, bit sore which is to be expected.
back to the rest time, i hear on the podcast strength needs more rest time like 2+ mins but the program is set for 90 seconds only, i felt like i needed a bit of extra time to push for those 3-4 reps.
am i going too hard for the first session/week?
prime and prime pro look very interesting might help me out ;)
