I please need a User/Instruction Manual for my Toyota SL340D overlocker. I have tried everything possible to get the tension right...to no avail. All the videos I watched shows instructions for other models of Toyota - but for my specific overlocker, I can find nothing! Please also include a page on troubleshooting.
The official manual suggests to thread the machine in reverse order, from thread no. 4 to thread no.1. Threading it in the order in which the video shows can cause thread/needle breakage.
Oow, so that was the problem ! Because I always followed the instructions (like in the videos), but the first time I do it, it always breaks, and somehow, the second time, it works fine. So the order was the problem! Thank you so much
Even with the video and the instruction manual, it took a couple tries. The issue is that the thread has to be behind or in front of some of the arms are the bottom but, it's easy to have the thread in front of the arm it's supposed to be behind. Thread #3 in particularly needs to be behind most of the lower mechanism. Maybe that's why it was done first in this video.
Hi! I've brought this exact make and model. I have thread the machine (both way) yet, I can't seem to get the tension right. Something isn't working for me, any help would be greatly appreciated!!
I have spent nearly an hour trying to thread this machine (terrible on the eyes), figure out the tension numbers which will give a good overlock and run smoothly. I have four boxes of fabric, two boxes of patterns, a seven feet by three and a half feet wooden table plus an industrial machine ALL waiting for this overlocker to work properly and my patience is running out.
My Toyota SL-1A Series manual for a SL-3404D states to thread the lower looper (the one on the far right) before the upper looper (second on from right), but it’s shown the opposite way here! Wonder which is correct?
I’ve heard threading the upper looper first can cause needle breakage 😕 Don’t have any experience with it myself yet (only got mine yesterday!) but I’ve heard better experiences threading from right to left!
Tengo una pero el video deveria ser en español seme corto el hilo y no la puedo hacer coser no cose y antes si cocia por favor gracias pero en español soy argentina
Thank you so much for your videos about that Toyota overlocker. There is not much videos about it here. Practically nothing.
Por favor repuestas en español
Thank you for showing the settings used. Please post a video using other settings.
I just got one 🎉🎉
Omg finally a tutorial on my overlocker.. saving this one for sure. Was never really sure about that red thread step... thanks lincraft.

Thanks from Heart
Lovely 🥰
thank you so much!
Ok thank later.. tension set up: 5/5/5/3 is just good enough..
thanks great help..
Given up. The 'green' thread keeps on breaking. I will have to buy a sewing machine which does zig zags and has only two needles. Less work to do.

Hi Becci! Have you tried re-threading your machine? 🙂
Becci literally said she has already tried rethreading the machine.

Please get rid of the extremely irritating music. Otherwise an alright video. Thank you
Thank you. But my god that repetitive music!
We'll take note of that 🤣
