    Hi, Kurt! The calcite crystals are spectacular. The UV, boom 💥
    Love barite, too.
    I hope you'll share your planning on how to cut for wall strength, and expose the best crystal cave specimens. We are hoping you include us as much as possible in the experience. Love your vids. Best to you all!

      Thanks for watching. As soon as it warms up to the high 40lb or 50s I’ll start the cutting. 😁. Hope you had a good weekend.

    Holy cow! That barite nodule is so cool! Should you cut it! Hmmm maybe cut the flower pattern behind the flower, so it stays intact. There was also a flower on the side that you could cut behind it without damaging the large flower and if there is nothing there, you could always use that cut as a stand for the big flower and just make it a beautiful specimen piece. Which it is! And the rest of the pieces were just fabulous too. That big septarian nodule with many nodules grown into one, is really cool. I still have to say the barite one is the runaway favorite! Thanks Kurt! Are you going to do a cutting video? Because Inquiring minds, want to see it! Thanks!❤ Gorgeous material!

      Thanks Lisa, I like the idea you have but I’m not sure I’m aloud to cut it anymore… it’s been claimed and I’m unsure if I could get it back from her if you know what I mean 😅. But those Septarian Nodules will definitely be in a night time uv cutting video. Eric said those should glow.
      Thanks for watching 😁

    Glad you liked the materials! Almost all the Septarians are UV reactive. Some are even phosphorescent.

    The flower at the end, cut off a side of the rock to make it sit to where it displays the flower better. That would be my idea.

    Hi Kurt! I have a friend in Grand Junction that teaches survival skills. His favorite is fire making, and he is in search of iron pyrite for making sparks (like flint and steel). Do you know of any good spots locally to find pyrite?

      @RockHoundingAdventures  5 місяців тому

      Hi Scott, there are places around the state like Leadville, Ouray, Telluride, Creede and a few other places to fine pyrite Crystals.. i can ask a few people I know that be be able to help. Send me a message on Facebook or by email which is located in my description so I can help. I know you can find Chalcopyrite at Nancy Hanks Gulch about 20 mins south of GJ.

      Thanks for the info. My friend has a guy that knows some good areas to, so with all this info, he should be able to get some pyrite. He says he doesn't like the perfect crystal museum quality stuff. Just something that will throw off sparks when hit with some flint.
