Fun fact, while it sounded quite a bit different, Lego Dimensions actually has a "legally distinct" version of Carnival Night, as well as versions for IceCap and various 1 and 2 zones.
That was the case for just about all the zones Not even Green Hill, Marble, Chemical Plant, Metropolis, Sandopolis, Lava Reef 1 & 2, & Death Egg were safe from becoming legally distinct The only exception was Labyrith, which uses Lost Labyrinth from Sonic 4 The only actual Sonic songs were from the Adventure games
@@MissUmbra Don't forget the S2 half pipe theme which for some reason sounds more like Green Hill than the actual version they used for the Green Hill section

Honestly this doesn’t sound that bad. If this was the one they included in sonic origins, I’d have no problem with it. Also I’d love to hear other Sonic 3 songs get the Legally Distinct treatment if you’re okay with that
I just started playing the collection and when I got to Carnival Night, I noped out. Went into the sound settings and was frankly appalled at the new tracks.... I cannot believe how bad those zones' new tracks are honestly. But this is so much better well done SR! I wish Sega would for once make the right decision.
This soundtrack sounds like, "hey look. This isn't Carnival Night Zone. No. it's... Dizzy Circus. Yeah." Trying to dodge paying royalties as usual, I see.
This sounds like it's Carnival Night Zone composed by someone that was told to reconstruct it completely from memory. Except the last time they heard it was in 1994.
This track really gives the vibes of trolling someone or just plain clowning around 🤡. Good for animators that plan on making a funny skit or an outro.
I need a ROM-hack of Sonic 3 that replaces Carnival Night Act 2 with this version *_I NEED IT_* EDIT: Replace Act 2's music, because Act 1's music is already good
after listening to the final tracks in Origins, I think I would prefer this version instead of what they used... they did the prototype tracks dirty, man
I would like this track to feature in a completely redesigned level layout for carnival night - just so the player feels messed up, the tune and level assets are familiar but they are struggling to play through it 😂
This is what Carnival Night sounds like when you dream about it.
if you have aphantasia or bad memory that is
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This feels like if Sega was trying to change my memories of Sonic 3's OST without making it too obvious
Perfect way to describe it, sonic 3 alternate universe edition lmao
Carnival Night Zone but it's been 15 years since you last heard it and partially remember the song
You don't know about the Sega PC Sonic 3 & Knuckles collection soundtrack from the late 90s. It's WEIRD.

What Carnival Night Act 2 should have been.
Sounds like a dynamic track that would play if Sonic had a Dizzy status effect mechanic
Wario Land style
Wario becomes drunk.

I want this as a mod in Origins now
I reckon this rendition would fit like a glove as a variation which plays in Act 2 specifically while the lights are switched off.
Dookie King would Sonic get said "Dizzy" effect from the barrels?
