know what I like about it best? The fact that no matter what orientation, you can read the left & right connections! I'm getting it today. Just kidding - but I am getting it due to the quality in it's price range. Also, thank you for showing the back...most people forget to do this.
Just a couple of corrections: MC = Moving coil, not moving cartridge. The 551p does have a subsonic filter - you just don't get the option to turn it off. :) Nice video though
Nice video Scott! I have this phono preamp myself (the silver version). I like that the 651 has a power switch. Many others don't. Excellent performer for the price. And...what a cute little punkin-puss!
I've heared ppl saying that this pre-amp is the same as its predecessor (the 640), except for the fact that there's a power button added. Is that true? Btw, about those 'better components': it just means that they've used electronic components that have lower tolerances (when it comes to resistors) and higher max. voltage ratings (when it comes to capacitors) etc.
Just got into vinyl records and bought a second hand turntable with a denon MC cartridge. I have 2 questions. 1: what does the subsonic filter do? 2: how is MC handled internally that is different then the MM? Thank you

I'm new to this can I use this with a Audio technical lp-60-usb turntable? Even if the turntable has a built in preamp.
