Hi Aaron! I love that every time I watch your videos I add a new-to-me book to my TBR - I added the Claire North book to my reading list. My Antonia is one of my all time favs and I'm also reading through her Prairie trilogy. Thank YOU for the shout out! 🫶🏽. I'm excited for The Invisible Life of Euridice Gusmao in April. ✨🤓📚
Prairie Trilogy that's the word! I think I said plains. I definitely need to expand my reading horizons, I am very UK and US centric so I look forward to, I think, my first Brazilian read!
I remember feeling similarly so-so about the Body in the Library. I tend to prefer the Marple short stories to her novels, while I prefer Poirot novels to his short stories. I read a Christie this month too. Must be the time of year for it!
That is a beautiful version of The Hobbit. I'm reading one Agatha Christie every month in publication order and haven't got to any Miss Marple yet. I'll have to add Trouble Boys to my TBR.
Always enjoy your reviews, Aaron. I love Willa Cather. As a Nebraskan, the landscape is somewhat familiar-- though much changed since she wrote! I love her depictions of snow falling from the sky like feathers from a pillow. And the description of those exotic dried mushrooms. My Antonia is definitely her best, in my opinion. Glad you liked it, too!
You like Stardew Valley?!!… you just got bonus points 😂 Sorry The Body in the Library disappointed you I will still be working my way through them. News From Thrush Green looks very Wintery!! Beautiful cover ❤ Have a wonderful Christmas Aaron🎄❤️
Love all farming sims and base-building games, probably to a fault. Body In The Library was still fun to read, I don't think Christie can write a truly bad book, though I haven' t read Halloween Party or any of the known stinkers. Merry Christmas!
You're one of 3 booktubers that I consistently come back to - I like your insight and thoughtfulness and I don't know many other guys that have read LM Montgomery 😊 I'm curious - are you a Packers fan or do you just like the look? Merry Christmas 🎅 🎄❤
Thanks! More guys should read LM Montgomery, she is great. I wouldn't call myself a fan of any one team in NFL to be honest, I have been watching NFL for 20 years but always RedZone and going to the odd London game when they are over. I like the Packers because they are community-owned, their QB was called Aaron, my friend who got me into NFL supported them, and I just like their colours so I have quite a few bits of merch for them. That said their games tend to be on too late for me, and I have got other teams merch too, I have a Vikings jersey which is sacrilege 😂

There was a Christie event on booktube in November so her name probably popped up more often, or we absorbed her through osmosis.

I think I prefer Poirot over Marple, but actually a lot of my favourites are just her standalone ones. I do just like all of her stuff really though.
@@AaronReadABook So far my favorite is The Secret of Chimneys. I really like Anthony Cade and wish there were more books with him.
@@colonelmustardinthelibrary I've not read any of those so I shall have to go back at some point!

Thanks! I'm slightly sad it's everyones favourite because it means I started with her best book, although I'm sure they all are worth reading.
