I can’t speak for the others, but these videos are my favorite! I love to see how you feed such a large family and a healthy manner on a budget! I hope that you continue to make these.
Amber from what you have shown us you and Marc always cook healthy and varied meals for your family. I can tell that you really think your meal plan, followed by shopping and then cooking etc. It was nice to hear you talk about Sarah from our tribe of many. She is a great role model for family channels and is very relatable. 😊
This video was so enjoyable. The time and care you put forth to feed your family makes me so happy. I only had five boys and meal time was always a challenge but my boys have always been so appreciative.
I love watching your cooking videos and you make such healthy meals for your family. A lot of people now adays use so much processed foods and it is not good for the kids or them. I grew up in the 50's and all of our meals were homemade. I LOVE split pea soup!!!!
I really like that you are real, and show most of the steps of making the food and the final product! Other UA-cam families show only the final product in perfect insta-worthy pics for reels - and it comes across as not being authentic. I love your authenticity! From a violinist who loves to watch your family play and cook! ❤
Yummy healthy meals. Thanks for sharing. To thicken your split pea soup if it had too much liquid just use 1 Tablespoon cornstarch with 2 Tablespoons water and whisk in a separate bowl till smooth. Add it back to the soup to thicken. All looks delicious. God Bless from Diane in Oklahoma!❤
I love the diversity of food that you serve! Such a great way to expand the flavors of healthy foods. I wish I could eat dinner at your house! I will just have to quarter one of those recipes and try for myself haha

Hi Amber!i love your what we eat in a week videos cause you make such amazing and different budget friendly recipes ,you give us good ideas!Of course i can't stop watching you,you are all giving me such positive vibes and reminding me that although the struggles we all are going through a smile makes a difference!! kisses from Greece ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
I’m vegan for ethical reasons, but man the price of animal meat would be prohibitive even if I weren’t. We don’t eat many vegan meats due to cost, but we are constantly varying the beans and legumes as well as the way we prepare and /or season them to keep things interesting. Also, like you, we use rice and breads/rolls to stretch the meals as well. You cook so much from scratch that it is usually easy for me to adapt your recipes to plant based!!! So thanks for sharing😊
So good!! I love everything you made!! We're doing the same type of videos for our crew. We've been remodeling our kitchen, so I could not do much, praise God, this week, things will be done. You look like a fabulous cook!! Sending prayers and love from Wisconsin!💕
The stuffed pepper casserole looked really good. I would have to cut the recipe in half but I should try it. Your kids eat so well and it’s so great that you try so many new recipes all the time. The kids are very adventurous eaters. My youngest son would love all the good food.
Hi guys. Amber I love when you take us on your weekly meals for the week, seeing how you feed a family of 12 for one week. Yes! get the kids to work for their Meals good job Elijah work those muscles up and down grate that cheese.🤣 Be careful of those fingers. He's a cellist. Just my corky sense of HUMOR! Soups and stews can go a long way for a big Family with Bread and butter. And rice,. Mo loves the soup he's very happy. Who needs to go to Burger king. You can make your own Whoppers at home good job Marc. The kids will love them. Home made whoppers for everyone. Try to make shrimp fried rice or spring rolls at home. Amber you are doing a sweet pea soup Job. IT ALL LOOKS SO YUMMY. Even doe I don't eat red meat. Those potato's looked real delicious. Hardy meals for a family of twelve. Mo approves on the casserole with a big sweet smile Thank you MOM! HI sweet 🥰Melody!! love you sweet girl. Amber the last dish looked so Yummy. Mmmmmmmm. When Mo put up his hand with the chicken bone he's telling mom this is so GOOD you're are the best. Guys great meals. Peace love and SWEET BLESSINGS ❤❤❤❤❤✌🤟🙏🙏🙏🙏
Amber I really enjoy your cooking episodes your recipes are amazing love, soups I used to cook my split peas soup with oxtail but as you said meats are expensive that's why I like watching you and Tribe of many how you budget your meals but cook food that taste amazing at the same time ,this week will try the leaks soup.🙂
I always watch Our Tribe of Many and Sarahs dad, “ Papas kitchen” for recipes. I don’t have a large family so cut it down. Every single thing I fixed of theirs have been great !
Sarah from OTOM: come on! She’s the worst cook ever. She often “ forgets” to make dinner for her kids.. these parents know to feed them, and give them enough
I love your apron. My grandmother used to make them. My mother, aunt and grandmother always wore one when they cooked. Your kitchen looks very organized. I see you use a smart pot a lot. I have one that I'm always afraid that's something terrible may happen, so I stop using it. Basically, I use a crockpot.
Thank you! Yes my granny always wore an apron too. I think beans and rice are probably the best thing to make in the instant pot because they cook so quickly and perfectly.
Do you have any picky eaters? If so what do you do? When my boys were little they loved veges and would eat tomatoes like apples. However, they didn't like fruit and they hadn't come out with the smoothie idea yet. I love the variety meals you make. 🙏 ❤ praying for a safe and joyful week for you all.
Aw thank you! Yes, we do have some picky eaters but I don’t really fight about things. I usually ask the little ones to just take one bite of broccoli or peas or whatever and eventually it’s not such a big deal for them. I used to really be a “eat everything” mama, but eventually they seem to like most everything as they grow up.
These meals look so good! Tip: for something evem more healthier, sub tapioca starch or arrowroot starch for the cornstarch. And, avocado oil for the canola oil. Cornstarch & canola oil are not good for our bodies. Including, vegetable oil.
Watching this again I had a thought that you could drain off some of the liquid from Wednesday's soup and use it as a stock for any other soup you make next. That is if you didn't want it to be too liquid.😊
Thank you for sharing your recipes! I like how you show the kids are eating it ... Moses is so cute when he shows he likes what he is eating. And i like how everyone eats what is cooked, instead of separate meals for everyone. You are one busy woman ... cooking for everyone, filming, editing, going to the store (with family, but you still film it!), and take care of the kids during the day ... plus a lot more I'm sure. Just curious ... how do you do laundry? Do you have a washer and dryer in the apt?
I’m going to try the sweet and sour. I think I will use fresh pineapple. Amazon has a pineapple corer that does it in about a minute. It’s slices it and takes off the skin at the same time.
I share alot of grocery hauls for my family of 5. I have a budget of 400 a month. I can't imagine what the bill would be with a larger family. Cheap and economical meals are the way to go. We aren't fancy with our meals either!
The meals look healthy but I don't think they're very inexpensive. They usually go weekly to 2 stores, Costco and Trader Joe's. The first store last week. I believe was about $540. And the second store was over two hundred, so they spent more in one week than you do for a month, however they have twice as many children.
Yes, unfortunately their aren’t any sales or specials on food around here so that also makes things more expensive, but we do make a lot of legumes and that helps.
Delicious healthy meals! You and Marc do such a great job! Just curious … do your kids ever complain about the food if they don’t like it? I ask cuz I was that kid unfortunately 🤦🏻♀️
Sometimes, for instance I make Tuna once a week and Naomi doesn’t like it. I don’t make her eat it. Sometimes she just has an egg sandwich or something else. Elijah sometimes doesn’t like a meal too, but there’s always some alternative. We always have bread, butter, peanut butter, cereal. But honestly with the exception of Naomi and the Tuna they usually eat it. I do try to keep it varied so that there are a lot of options or even leftovers from another meal if they don’t like it. I used to fight, but I just feel there are bigger more worthy things to fight about lol. But I don’t have a bunch of Doritos laying around, so that always makes dinner look better!😅
I'm from Australia and don't understand how you can afford to have so many children. What kind of jobs do you both have? Someone help me out with this please? Cheers

I was trying out and it ended up that I had to put out 6 to 8 videos Two demonstrate one recipe. I wonder if she uses a tripod or does someone stand there and follow her around and take her videos as she's cooking.
I was wondering how do you take videos when you cook. I think I asked that question earlier today but I haven't seen a response yet. I know it's a lot of work to take a video. A few months back, I was making new recipes and wanted to put my videos on Facebook. So I made some but I had to put like 6 short videos to show one recipe.
No, but I need to figure out how to do more. Usually we do one major clean at the end of the evening, but I need to find a way to clean throughout the day too. There’s just so much going on.
@suzannesahl1699 I guess you don’t see any problem with the Happy Caravan kid’s eating food on a NYC subway too! 🙄🤮 disgustingly gross!!!! Go beg with them
The kids are eating healthy meals, appropriate portions, and getting exercise. I don't agree with everything this family does (or any family) but these kids are well fed.

I admire the hard work you put on preparing all those meals! ❤️ Thank you for sharing! 😊 Looks so Healthy and delicious 😋. Mo is super happy! 😄
Mo is just a darling! I really enjoy watching you make your dinners. They always are healthy and look fabulous!
Moses has so much to say! He’s about to burst with vocabulary!
Yes! He’s such a sweetie, I can’t understand most of what he says but I can tell he is trying to communicate ❤️
I love how healthy you all eat!! You are also doing a great job modeling fiscal responsibility along side nourishing your bodies. Good job!
I LOVE you guys’s cooking videos!!! They inspire me to cook healthy and hearty meals!!
All the food looks really good.
This video was so enjoyable. The time and care you put forth to feed your family makes me so happy. I only had five boys and meal time was always a challenge but my boys have always been so appreciative.

You do a fantastic job of feeding your family healthy, tasty meals with a lot of variety!! Everyone looked very happy and satisfied!! ❤️
I like that the kids are honest about the taste of the meals for them and that they also eat it. Don't have to love every meal. Great kids.
Haha yes! Especially Josiah. He’s a very truthful guy.❤️
That stuffed pepper casserole looks so good!!! You are a great cook!!!!😊

I love watching your cooking videos and you make such healthy meals for your family. A lot of people now adays use so much processed foods and it is not good for the kids or them. I grew up in the 50's and all of our meals were homemade. I LOVE split pea soup!!!!
Aw thank you! Yes my mom made a lot of food from scratch and I really appreciate that.❤️
Okay now I’m really hungry! Fun video, thanks 😊

Aw thank you! Yes the raw state of things isn’t so aesthetic haha. But you have to start somewhere!❤️

Great video! Thanks so much for the wonderful recipes and ideas!
I enjoy watching these cooking episodes. I too shop at TJ’s and Costco. I picked up a few recipes from you guys. Thank you for sharing.

I love that the kids will eat soup with vegetables. I did not appreciate split pea soup until I became an adult.
Beautiful food, beautiful home, beautiful family!!!

Sarah, from Our Tribe of Many, freezes an extra meal, when she cooks. Helps with meal planning. Like this video.
Yes! Our freezer is pretty full but we might be able to find a spot for an extra freezer that would help!
Moses is hysterical, he's so smart. 😂 Every dish he holds up for the camera. Again, beautiful family.👏💯❤️

Learn how to make Potato Kugel. It is so delicious, very filling. Serve with sour cream!!!
Next time you make cornbread this too... replace the sugar with honey- so good
I’m going to try the sweet and sour. I think I will use fresh pineapple. Amazon has a pineapple corer that does it in about a minute. It’s slices it and takes off the skin at the same time.

Would love the recipe for the sweet & sour chicken!
Ok I’ll work on posting that!❤️
stuffed pepper looks just like chilli to me. I would make that into a soup. is that one pan enough for your whole family.
Yes I think I put too much sauce. ❤️ I’m learning little by little.

Marc works at a sign company and I do social media. But we’re always looking for new things to help pay bills!
What educational programs do you use for games ?!
They use a program called “Starfall” it really helps with phonics and early math.

Here is a vegetarian recipe we enjoy:
3 cups quinoa (cooked)
Add:
1 can corn
1-2 can kidney or black turtle beans (or equivalent of beans previously cooked)
3 bunches of green onions chopped
4 large tomates, chopped
Vinaigrette:
1/2 cup olive oil
1/2 cup lemon or lime juice ( about 8 limes)
Cumin, red pepper flakes, salt, pepper to taste
Mix everything together. You can eat hot or cold.
We add shredded cheddar and avocados on top.
Awesome! We love quinoa especially! ❤️
Will you post the videos from the recording you did?😃

I use a GoPro and it makes filming really easy. The quality is not super duper but it’s very convenient.
Yes! The studio recordings will be sent soon! Can’t wait to post them!❤️
Man I must make too much rice I cook for one person and I make 1 cup or more
When we make white rice I’m going to start making 4 cups I think. The kids love it. Brown rice is always left over at 3 cups😅.
Try to get a stand for you camera. So you don't have to use one hand when you cook.
I was wondering how do you take videos when you cook. I think I asked that question earlier today but I haven't seen a response yet. I know it's a lot of work to take a video. Ina Garten refused a little boy who, for his Make a Wish 7 years old. He wanted to cook with Ina.😢
Aw that’s too bad! She is very good at cooking but seems to not be very social so maybe that’s why.
Your not much of a cleaner are you?😂😅
No, but I need to figure out how to do more. Usually we do one major clean at the end of the evening, but I need to find a way to clean throughout the day too. There’s just so much going on.
Why are you eating you split pea soup out of a dog feeding dish
It’s a stainless steel bowl set from Amazon. We got them originally for camping but they are great for us because we used to break so many dishes!
Clean your house up! Always messy and sink full of dirty dishes! 🙄
Why are you so critical about her house? I didn't see any problem with it, she looked rather organized to me.

@suzannesahl1699 I guess you don’t see any problem with the Happy Caravan kid’s eating food on a NYC subway too! 🙄🤮 disgustingly gross!!!! Go beg with them
Yes! We have a big clean at the end of the night but I have to find a way to clean it up in between.
1 chicken leg? Seriously???
Haha that’s just my plate, the big kids definitely eat more.❤️
Jeez they could come back for more why serve them a ton and it get wasted than just have them come for more
Those grains with quinoa and lentils served with it are loaded with protein too, so a very well balanced meal!!
Needs as are you kidding me , your quantities are starving your kids!!!
They are pretty normal in their weight when we go to the doctor. Usually 50th percentile or higher. The plate I usually show is mine.
Her children look healthy, so don't worry that she's starving her children!
Where are you from? I think this is the first time I see a video from USA where they serve regular size food.
The kids are eating healthy meals, appropriate portions, and getting exercise. I don't agree with everything this family does (or any family) but these kids are well fed.
Brendakahley. Amber is not staving the children, the meals are well balanced nutritional and look so DELICIOUS. I feed my family the same.
