Ironhorsie I 100% agree. I was literally just thinking of a way to word this dame thought. Lol, not sure if you even worded it perfectly 😂 but I know exactly what you mean. It’s like, this is is just a great song. It makes too much sense. Like it was always this way lol
We need some Doors (Jim being the Lizard King, I can do anything) and Infectious Grooves (Aladin Sarsippius Sulemanagic Jackson the third) to do some mashup funk!
@Prentice Tyndall, agreed! I did have to go double check when James died & it was in 1971! Part of the 27 Forever Club. I also have a dear friend who is an illegitimate daughter of James Morrison {as apparently he preferred to be called} who is an amazing poetess named Danielle Sainte-Marie! She also has a YT channel & one of her poetry posts is in honour of her dad! Much goodness all around! Peace!
I completely agree. When alive, I'm sure JIM, and the DOORS, would have no problem, sharing the stage, and the sound studio, to be grooving, with THE TEMPTATIONS.
This is just extraordinary on every level. I could feel Jim smiling all the way through as I was watching this video. He would've absolutely adored it.
i fell asleep last night trying to remember this comment i was like what crashed into the crystal ship?? had to come back to find it!! maybe the best comment i’ve read on youtube
That was mighty satisfying. Love the way Ray's keys integrate perfectly into the jam. Angus Young's guitar solo works awesomely too. Outstanding work Bill.
@@michaelnewbill3438 : It also doesn't make sense to mashup The Temptations with the Doors... it's a 3rd element to the mashup. Seems to be a common theme in Bill's vids, I really dig it.
with an Angus Young guitar solo too!! ah never knew The Lizard King was so funky & to get Ray Manzarek's Vox organ synched in was pure gold; this is like one last gift from The Doors, thanks Bill! yer alright
So...I've been playing these at work...... the 20 somethings for the most part are confused.......... the older crowd has to pick there jaw up off the floor......... you are a genius
Another great mashup! Never thought I'd hear The Doors with a funky groove tune, works perfectly! And the added AC/DC, Young solo was the cherry on top!
it would sound like "strange days", the bass playing in that album was what made it one of their most incredible recordings. go back & listen to it again, there's an actual studio bass player...
I meant it more as a joke. Patty Sullivan, Larry Knechtel, Doug Lubahn, Kerry Magness, Leroy Vinnegar, Harvey Brooks, Ray Neopolitan, and Lonnie Mach all recorded bass with The Doors.
The awesomeness of this mashup doesn't surprise me because The Doors were incredibly funky after all but the exquisite meshing of these songs is still a joy to behold!
Just now discovered these and I’m absolutely gob-smacked! Been watching non-stop for an hour and driving my friends nanners with texts. Dude, you are an editing savant. Your ears are made of gold.
Another of my personal favorite mashups! Love that the harpsichord solo is included (at 1:24 mark) in the song combo - and an unexpected guitar solo to finish it off, too! 🎵🎵🎵🎵 and is now part of my playlist "Greatest Mashups"
Bill's are the best videos like this I see on the internet...through quality and content...not only are they creative and worthwhile, I find myself listening to them over and over. Anybody who "hears" Slayer and The Bangles together AND has the genius to put it into reality is a caveman in a spaceship. Fly Grak, Fly!
Break on Through (to the Shaky Ground)! Never knew The Doors could get funky with it! Matching the organ solo with The Temptations music is a winner! 🎵🎵🎵🎵 and a spot on my playlist "The Greatest Mashups"!
So insanely good. Like they wrote it together. 2 different genres of music and it flows. When you testify it’s raw and real and the audience can here it
I didn't know Mr. Mojo Risin could lay down the funk. Manzarek's keyboard solo sounds fantastic with a funk groove. And Angus makes an appearance too! Well played sir.
Everytime I hear one of your songs I think there is no way you can top it. Then you upload something and I find myself thinking the same thing again. Well done Bill.
Hendrix said that he had a dream of buying a ranch and turning it into a Rec Center, with an open door policy and a fuck off maxed out studio. Anybody would be welcome to sit there, jam, and brainstorm. He was also discussing a collaborative album with Miles Davis. Imagine what could have been.
It's right up there with Bill McClintock's best mashups. The Billy Idol/Bob Marley, Marvin Gaye/RATT and Hall & Oats/Supremes songs are my personal faves from McClintock, but I won't argue with you on this one.
It isn't a mashup when it's this good. It stands on its own.
I couldn't agree more. This is typically the case with what Bill turns out. Top notch!
A puree, then?
that's a bit overstated, buddy

I like to call it “what if” music.
How well the "everybody loves my baby" lyric works with the trumpets' harmony is jaw-droppingly brilliant.
You must have a ton of musicallity in your veins to hear this combination in your head and make it work so well. These are all small masterpieces.
A fascinating glimpse into an alternate universe's history of popular music
What might have been!!
Ah but my friend this is simply a treasure of this reality
As one of the biggest Doors fan out there, I 1000% approve of this. Jim woulda funked the fuck out had he lived longer.
☺
if Jim was with us today, he would have laughed so hard & enjoyed Bill's mashup
We need some Doors (Jim being the Lizard King, I can do anything) and Infectious Grooves (Aladin Sarsippius Sulemanagic Jackson the third) to do some mashup funk!
Jim would’ve been elated.
😊
Jim Morrison and Funk...What a great way to start the day!
cheeke11967 I woke up this mornin and I got myself a beeyer!

They would have had to have hired a bass player, but it could have been great.
You should listen to the "An American Prayer" album. Some deep funk was going down on that one.
@@slow-mo_moonbuggy yes!!! Was hoping someone would mention that record. That is the vibe exactly.
This video just proves how much these soul acts impacted rock singers back in the day. Many of their vocals fit right into soul with zero effort.
They weren’t rock like other rock they were heavily blues and jazz influenced not like AC/DC or something who were blues and rock and roll influenced
It's like an acid trip on soul train!!
For real though!
Heard. 😎
The Soul Train crashed into The Crystal Ship.
@@netsurferx1 ha ha!!! good one!
A perfect mashup - psychedelic funk!
Funkadelic
Pure Fusion - This should be released … Clubs will love it …

I think it's already been said but it makes me wanna start a cover band playing this kind of mashups in real time.
I'd like to try having a band that does the songs that have the 2nd and 4th beats removed...
This is my mom's music (Temptations) vs my Dad's music (The Doors). This is awesome!
Ragnar Danneskjöld this was your Parents, Parents music too!
And an AC/DC solo just for good measure
Best of both worlds 😀😀😀 And Congratulations tom your parents, nice music choices
I love this comment!
Bro rays keyboard solo goes so hard with that bass and funk ......lord mercy this is mind blowing!!!
That keyboard solo, though. The bass track fits so well -- improves it x100.
This is just a masterpiece. Funky Morrison is perfect on too many levels!
Its always fun to play these mashup videos on my speaker at work and just watch peoples reactions as they walk by....
i keep coming back to this everyday
Found this two weeks ago, listened to it every day at least 10 times, I intend to listen to everyday for the rest of my life

The touch of Angus at 2:45 is like the cherry on top of this epic melange of rock and funk. Well done, as usual, Mr. McClintock!
honestly I had the biggest grin when angus popped up for the solo😮

Incredibly well done, and sounds fantastic.

What are some of the reactions? I'm not from either of these era's and I'm shocked at how good this is. I can only imagine the older folk.
This 20 somethings digs these mashups
I'm happy that I didn't read the comments or expanded description before watching. That might have spoilt the Aussie surprise.
This sounds natural, less like mash up, more like it was a song to begin with. Great work. WHAT ANIMAL DOWN VOTED?!?
You may not believe this but Jim Morrison himself gave it a thumbs down. But he said he was kidding.

Nobody nowadays cared about rock and roll until my homey Bill reconstructed it for the masses. Keep on keepin' on, Bill Dawg.
I don't stress as much from tolerating the 2000s and the 90s. I am grateful I was born in the 80s. Great artwork.
