The reason the doll doesn't look 100% like the cartoon is because the animators get concept art of the doll so not the final design on the doll, kids like bright colors so the hot pink hat makes sense and the bat cut outs could be to leave fun shade shapes or save on plastic plus she uses SPF 500 and its a cartoon so logic shouldn't be a concern and if they kept using half pink and black hair parent probably wouldn't buy her cause they would think they're buying the same doll and not a doll of the same character and kids would get tired of the same look for Draculaura. 🦇💗
As a dude in his 40s that grew up on He-Man, TMNT and Transformers I find it normal that the toy looks nothing like the show. That's my entire childhood. I've grown to appreciate it. They toy artists like to get creative and I like that.
In defense of her sun hat, she's not wearing it in the sun. So i think the cutouts are fine. But I know they aren't popular. personally though I love them.
WoW 😮😮😮😮😮😮, Draculaura is Bloody de Dulces, 100.000.000/10 , Good Look Girl !!!! , ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤, I love Draculaura Bloody , Great Video!!!!
it’s impossible to get them right. The show is designed to be ugly (a DEI idea that nothing can be conventionally pretty because that’s offensive), while the dolls are still made to be pretty. Also, it’s a kids’ show, so of course, they have to create simpler and more conservative designs. However, the dolls, while primarily targeted at kids, also appeal to adult collectors, especially those who collected the original Monster High dolls. Therefore, the dolls have a more ‘fashion-forward’ design.
Lmao the show isn’t “designed to be ugly” It’s designed to be cute and friendly looking, and the proportions seem to draw a lot of inspiration from the style of Chris Sanders…who drew his characters with large feet and thick ankles because that’s beautiful and appealing to him. Artists are taking so many more things into account when it comes to aesthetics than the average person that a lot of us have a much more expanded and nuanced idea of what’s beautiful.

Bro.... don't get me started on 90's Batman merch. Most of the figures surpassed ANY of his Bat-suits in the cartoons, comics and movies combined!!!!

❤
I mean to be fair, the doll is the “correct” design. The show only has concepts for the planned doll to work with.

“Curvier” is this what they call diverse body types now? Very slightly thicker in the thighs?
Do more of these!
Ariana what are you doing here 😂😂😂
It kinda looks cuter in my opinion, but it definitely is NOT accurate
How do they mess up the hair that much? The doll needs way more pink hair
Also more pink skin 😅
yeah but her hat is already pink so there has to be a contrast
