    I always had issues with meeting notes organization. Great tips , thank you for sharing

      You're welcome. The Loop app keeps them all together in that Meeting Notes view. If a meeting relates to a workspace, try to form a habit of adding the meeting notes to the related workspace. Use the 'Add to workspace' button at the top left corner of the meeting notes page.

    Thanks so much Darrell. Shame they don't allow you to move all of the tasks at once to another plan, guess that would be too easy!

      It seems like the feature was built for when you are focused on one task to shift to another plan. Planner would benefit from a multi-select bulk-move and bulk-copy feature

    Very helpful Darrel for sure, could I ask a follow up question about Planner. I'd like to start using it more but the notifications have always been an issue in terms of when someone posts a comment/update )on the Task. To receive a notification you appear to have to comment on the task as well even if you create a task. Is this your understanding? Im just wondering how you manage that, because ideally I'd like all discussion take place on the task in the comments section, but because of the strange rules for notifications we end up discussing the tasks in the Teams channel and that can quickly become un manageable in a feed with lots of other discussions taking place. Any help gratefully received

      Thank you Andy. I think the Planner comments are its weakest feature. They are stuck in using Outlook notifications. The comments themselves are very, very basic. You can’t do much with them. Like you, I prefer to use Teams to discuss a task, putting the link to the task in the original post so it’s easy to find. From the task card, use the attachments section to link to the Teams conversation, so it’s easy to find from the task. But this relies on manual effort and following the steps. If I get distracted, I forget to link. My team members find it more difficult to form this habit because it doesn’t come naturally. I hope Planner and Teams can figure out a better way to integrate comments with a Teams chat or channel post.

    How do I link tasks from Loop to a specific Plan from a shared SharePoint Site (without Teams)?

    • @DarrellaaS
      @DarrellaaS  День тому

      You should be able to pick any plan in the drop-down menu that you see at 3:36.

      @@DarrellaaS Thank you! That is what I just tried on my own before you replied :) Question though - anyway to do this in bulk, or no?

      The “Gorilla Technology” plan in my drop down list is from an M365 Group created in Outlook. No Teams attached to it.
      I don’t think I have ever created a Planner plan without either an Outlook Group or a Team.
      No, there isn’t a way to bulk move or copy tasks to a different plan.
      I am replying to this comment from my mobile. I will take a closer look when I am back at my desk.

      Another thing to check, how did you create the plan that you want to copy the task to? When you create a plan the new Planner, it creates a standalone plan without an M365 group. You can choose to add it to an existing group, or create a new group for it after creation.
      It appears that I can't move tasks to a plan that isn't connected to either an M365 group, or a Loop page.

    I noticed that we can only use planner in the “general” channel of a team. Is it possible to create a plan for every channel in a team?
    Ex: I created a team group that include a channel for each of the projects I manage, but I couldn’t add planner for each of the channels. Any suggestions?

      I have a few teams that have different plans added to different plans added to different channels. I am using a Microsoft 365 E5 license. You shouldn't be limited to only adding a Planner plan to the General channel for standard team channels. However, if your team is using Private channels, you can't add Planner to those today.

    The tasks are easy. We use Kanban that has more functionality (add columns, add screenshots in the detailed view, etc). Why that's not connected to Planner is beyond me

    • @DarrellaaS
      @DarrellaaS  2 дні тому

      I too think that the Kanban / Table in Loop is the most versatile. When it introduced the card view for each item and used Label columns to support different Board views, it was a huge improvement. The Task / Planner integration with Loop will be led by the capabilities of Planner. Behind the scenes, the Loop Task table and items have to sync with the columns available in Planner. Standard Planner isn’t seeing a lot of change, as it is meant to lead teams to invest in Planner Plan 1 - a Microsoft Project product. If Loop tables were to sync with Project tables, that would open up more options for custom columns. But I don’t think we will see that. So the decision is to either use the Loop / Planner integration and ecosystem with other M365 apps OR drive task coordination natively in Loop using the Kanban / Tables.

      @@DarrellaaS i'm dizzy. MS' array of apps that sort of overlap in functionality is so confusing
