First! love that promo i got two at the d23 expo. According to the people at the booth you could only get one for the whole expo. They scanned our pass, so they could keep track of that. And there was no way you could get back in line, they cut off the line first day after who was already in it. And then the next two days they made you get a wristband and that was the only way you could get in line. And again even if you tried again im sure you couldnt get another since they scanned your d23 pass. Also on the first day the other opportunity you had in getting a mickey was to do the photo opp they had, which they had no line for after i got out of the line for the products which took me 2 hours to get through, which was super frustrating. But i guess they stopped doing that after the first day or very early on in the first day. So it was hard to get. The lines were crazy, especially on the first day. It caused a road block, and people were stuck around the booth for probably 20-30 minutes before they cleared it and formed an extended line. It was a fire hazard and very dangerous. It was very poorly managed. I only tried the first day and got the promo, so i didn't attempt to go again the other two days, so I can't say what it was like after day one. But it was crazy. You also had another opportunity to get the promo if you attended the lorcana panel, which i did. Everyone who attended got a mickey promo, a mickey 1 year pin and one pack of shimmering skies. So, I'm so glad i have one to hold on to and one to trade or sell in the future
I was able to get 4 copies of this card on the last day of D23. They were scanning people's badges to see if they already received the card and the pin but I noticed several people, including myself, were still somehow able to get multiple copies. On the first day of D23 they did not have any virtual queue for the booth and they were just letting everyone and anyone come into the line, which I heard was chaos. Saturday and Sunday they switched to virtual queues for specific entry times into booth for 9am, 11am, 1pm and 3pm. But by 3:30p-4:00p there were no more virtual queues and they were allowing anyone into the line for the booth. That is how I was able to go through the line multiple times. I passed by the booth several times throughout the day on Sunday and the line was always full. Best guess is that over the course of 3 days of D23, is that they probably passed out a few thousand of these (2,000-3,000?). But I am also assuming that a slight majority of people who received the card will keep the card and not sell it. So maybe only a few hundred will eventually be sold on the market.
Great video, I was there. Got a couple of copies. There was no wrapping. Just a person with a stack handing one to each person. Probably quite a few left under near mint because if you didn't bring sleeves you were just carrying it around with no protection.
YES! Very cool, that's what I would have speculated but really appreciate you reaching out and confirming. Also, super happy for you that you got to go and see it! 🙌🏻
I think it’s a great pick up, I was able to get one from the expo. I like how each card is completely different as far as it’s foil treated. I’ve seen some reflections look like the waves are coming up, or magic is coming from his hand etc etc. I do not think this art is getting reprinted as another promo at all. I think D23 was the max rarity for this card and this years D23 was sorcerer Mickey theme so it fit perfectly. To play devils advocate if they do reprint it this card will still be cream of the crop because it’s D23 and not your everyday local promo card 😊
Provided they don't reprint the card in any higher tier variant and even better with the same art. It will do alot of good for the hobby in the long term
Thank you, my dude! Let's keep the trend going so it can get in range for you. No worries on my end if it goes down...we'll hold him (hopefully) forever lol. I'd rather have us both own it!
Picked one up locally for $170 when i saw they were going for $200 online. One ding on a corner was the most noticable wear but i was sending a batch of cards off to PSA already so i sent it in
Great video! So I pulled the trigger on this one at current market value. Realizing it could keep going down in value, I also considered the points you raised in this video. Ultimately I drew parallels from Pokemon the likes of Van Gogh Pikachu and even Moonbreon... Even with extremely large print volume, as long as the demands exceeds it as it is the case for those cards you'll do just fine. Atleast that's my working theory, time will tell if I made the right call.
I’ve observed the value of Mickey from sky high right on the D23 weekend to $200 on the eBay now. There are a couple of PSA10s on the eBay that have $1000 price tag on it, still not sure when it’s the right time to get one of it.
Yes, well said. There seems to be a slight disconnect between the raw value and that 10 value. We could make the assumption that because they were handed out raw (with no packaging) that the market sees it as a 'tough grade'. Time will tell and hopefully it makes it's way to your collection very soon! 🙌🏻
I was lucky enough to see this card in-person at DLC Toronto (one of my opponent's was showing it off, lol). Sadly, I don't think I'll ever own this Scorcerer Mickey - nor the D23 set 🫠🥲
Super jealous of those who attended D23 and secured this and the D23 box. Such a gem for collectors!
Right there with you 💯 and happy to hear that so many within the Lorcana family got to go!

Oh interesting! Really appreciate the insight...especially on the badge scanning!
Love your promo videos. Keep up great content!
Thank you so much, my friend! Appreciate you watching and will do! 🙌🏻

Oh that's awesome that you got to go! Super happy for you! That's a very good call and great perspective on the RP and it holding up! 💯
Thanks for the advice! Looking to buy this one in the near future 😊
Absolutely my dude!

Absolutely spot on!
This is my absolute favorite promo card released. Playful sorcerer is my favorite lorcana art, hoping to get my hands on this.
The foiling is very unique, which is really cool to see them giving the promos some individual identity! You will have yours soon enough! 😎
Good suggestion on buying from places like eBay etc where you can see conditions of the card. Wish TCG would include that on there selling.
I totally agree. It's nice that TCG knows their player market but consistent pics would be nice for sure
Beautiful pickup! Congrats! I'd love to pick one up but not in my pricepoint currently. Hoping it comes down a bit soon so I can 🙂

OH I really like those comps...especially VGP! 💯
