- The Mini³ (minicube) is what we call an accessory dwelling unit (ADU). There are no wheels on this model, unlike the rest of the Minimaliste line of products. The main concept is to add extra living space to your existing property, but it can also serve for short term rental projects. Our first 8’x12’ model (11’x13’ with exterior porch) can be used as a home office / professional office, yoga/art studio, gym, guestroom, etc. In most circumstances, you don’t need a building permit to install this type of dwelling, it falls under the same regulation as a shed. That being said, you need to confirm with your local municipality bylaws for the maximum allowed size for sheds or accessory dwelling units without a permit. The Mini³ comes standard with high end finishes, Mini-split heating/cooling, aluminum door/windows and a 50A electrical panel. Coming soon, a 11'x16' ADU is on the way.
Would love to see ADUs with kitchens and toilets from you! California and other states have been passing ADU laws making it easier for people to add units to their properties. My parents have been looking for a small ADU for this purpose.
Love that you're expanding to a no-wheels model! And I'm particularly excited to see where you'll take this next, i.e. larger units that can actually be a home. Très beau. Félicitations!
Will you be designing any larger non-wheeled models? I'd love to see your design applied to permanent tiny homes of a more livable size, not just wheeled units! :)
Is there different versions? Your website shows pictures of a version with a bed and a bathroom.
I love this!
« Those pretty things… » …. louver ?
This looks pretty great but I like one with a washroom.
This unit is good for a small office or a man room. Especially with work from home type of people. It can be a small office as well. Great design. Bravo.
Did I miss the price?
Super! Finalement une « maison tiny » qui peut se placer en foundation permanente. C’est merveilleux, rarement vue dans la construction des maisons petites, et une vrai « Life-saver » spécialement dans les municipalités qui interdisent les maisons en roues. Merci Minimaliste!
Noice...
