    Hi again.
Did your trick yesterday and it work perfectly. I saw a video that show a guy who installed 2 round leds under the plastic strip. Each detector has it's own light source. Tried it and it is a marvel. Here is the link: Chrony│Inexpensive Alternate Lights for Indoor Low Light Shooting│F1 Chronograph
It's so nice that people share their ideas. So much to learn from others.
    Thanks again

    Thanks for saying
I was surprised as well when I stumbled on to this fact. There have been some people how get upset when I tried to share with them that their setup of the Chrony was giving higher fps than reality. Im just glad I know better now :)
    Cheers

i have had a chrony for over 20 years, and its true you need 2 light sources but if you get a light high enough then you can go with one light and you get same readings, the key is getting it high enough to distribute even amounts of light, also no flicker type lights like house bulbs, its best to use L.E.D that dont flicker like your alternating current does like a bulb, just like outdoors the sun is a single light source also and it works just fine, for the middle of chrony use 12 pk cardboard soda box that works great, just trim it down with sissors to fit inside chrony.

AIRGUNSNIRVANA if i use my two light source i use the battery stick circle lights, you can put velcro on diffusers and stick a light on it also, there are endless ideas of shades and lights

Thanks for the info. I will modify my Chrony tomorrow and test my gun again. What happen if I used it outside next summer with normal sun light?
    Good job this vid.

Your welcome and thanks for commenting.
I think that it would help on bright sunny days. On overcast days probably no needed

I have tried for the last couple weeks to get the same Chrony working. Ive tried everything and I mean everything with zero results. I had it working one day by some random act of frustration and ever since then Ive had no luck. Have you ever had issues with the sensors on yours? And Im not the average fool which is what blows my mind. The beta even has a default which makes it idiot proof if I remember right. As in dont touch it for 15seconds or something and it resets itself to shoot again. I think it just needs to be shipped back and I can try another one.

n premoe Thanks for commenting.I have had issues from time to time mainly from poor lighting. In case you are unaware florescent lighting including the compact bulbs will really mess with the chrony. The best bulbs to use are the incandescent, brighter is better when using the shades. I also dust the photo eyes before every testing session.Hope this helps let me know...Cheers

I'm with you, I just got one of these and nothing I can do will make it give more than 1 reading out of 6+ tries.

AIRGUNSNIRVANA some reason my email just popped up. lol. I've since bought a second one which works 99% of the time. I'm shooting gun powder so I'm always outside with sun or clouds. Distance from muzzle blast seems to be the most important thing to keep in mind.
