I buy bases in 5 stars hotels so I could spend 45 days in each place in a year, renting them out for the rest of the time. By now I got Playa del Carmen, Batumi, Tulum and Bansko. Considering buying something in Panama, Johor or Batam, Antalia region and Dubai before I retire. Great job Andrew.
Interesting strategy. I've tended to think that ownership is a P.I.T.A. because each owned home must be maintained, secured, etc. How do you handle that in homes around the world? Have you ever returned to a home to find it not as you left it?
Well said, Andrew. I agree that being able to knock down walls, put nails in the wall, redo the kitchen, etc are big reasons to want to own a home. Also, perhaps the value won't skyrocket (even ever), but if it's in a city center or the beach, and you ENJOY the location, that is absolutely a benefit, regardless of the monetary value. Does it improve your life? Does it make you feel good to spend time there? That's what the real question should be.
I would think, however, that you have to limit your homes to condos/apartments -- not free-standing homes that may require additional security, grounds maintenance, etc. Gotta be able to lock the front door and leave for 8 months.

Not renting out a property might seem crazy at first, but keep in mind in some countries it will complicate your taxes and will have to pay because it’s income earned within that countries’ borders. Like Mexico for example. Smart! Thanks Mr. H 👍🏽
Good stuff Andrew, I'm also considering South America for residency/citizenship, the best overall deal appears to be Ecuador in terms of permanent residence after 2 years and citizenship 3 years later with hardly any required time spent there after a $40,000 investment in a bank account or real estate, their passport is one of the few which allows visa free travel to Russia, China and Turkey also and no tax on foreign income if you become a resident there, cheers.
I’ve never been to Ecuador, but from what I heard, you really need to spend like 9 months per year in the country until you get your citizenship? I’m not sure if you can just put in 40k and leave? I don’t know If they will actually check your days in the country ? What else have you heard about it ?
I spent some time in Sutomore, Montenegro a few summers ago and found the country to be rather pleasant and very beautiful (lovely mixture of sea and mountains). I have traveled quite a bit, not near as much as you, but I have found myself at a plateau and just tired of new beds and temporary places. I want to thank you for your videos, insight and all the footwork you have done to create this content. I love the intro you've got for your videos. It gives them a slick, professional feel from the start. Good stuff. I read your book and love the idea of the trifecta. I'm planning to travel more and more to identify what and where my trifecta will be. Keep the videos coming. They are much appreciated.
Andrew this is another great video the problem is that me and many other entrepreneurs have children who need to go to school or just want to live full time in a place we love. I’d love to see a video of how someone can legally reduce their taxes and much they could reduce them by for an online business by living in one European country (in my case Spain) full time. I know this will be a popular video.
You've really opened my mind. Now I am considering getting a 2nd citizenship. I used to see USA as the best country on the world but ur videos have changed my perception. Thanks!
Awesome video and I love how you put them in categories and each place has its purpose. For me, I want to have different bases around the world and currently, I have 4 bases (US,Sierra Leone, Bulgaria and Egypt). Turkey,United Emirate, Georgia ,Brazil and South Africa will be my next target.
Great video. Great insight. I do have one question though: how do you manage your residential properties when you are away? Having residental units idle for 7 or 8 months a year on different continents would cause a worry. How are they kept safe and monitored?
Hello Andrew, great knowledge as always... A question that I have been having lately: How does one protect all those homes, bank accounts and investments scattered across the world so that in the tragic event one passes away it can be gifted to kids/family without issues?
andrew, how do you deal with all the cleaning/ laundry/ vacuuming places? Do you have contacts of all cleaning services arranged or do you do it yourself? whilst traveling i love one thing about hotel is that i walk in and everything is freshly cleaned. i don't need to do any house work for it.
I lived the lifestyle you are talking about, courtesy of my father who took our family around the planet, so I can relate to the hotels, eating out everyday while on the road in different countries (mostly in Europe), and then finally settling in Greece for 7 1/2 years . . . a country I adore, love and respect. Especially the people. My trifecta is keeping my US citizenship (I'm retired Air Force) and living in Colorado owning a flight school (it's the scenery stupid!), owning a home in Greece (near an airport), and making friends in a place that reduces taxes on capital gains (Puerto Rico? Maybe?) . . . or some other country friendly to that prerequisite. I've done so much traveling having a home in two or three places appeals to me.
The last time I left a home I owned unattended for a few months, when I came back, my washer and dryer were gone, my door was busted in, the floor was flooded because the thieves never shut the water off after disconnecting the water, and bunch of other things were stolen. How do you handle security so you're not worrying about stuff like the the entire time you're gone?
Andrew, It would be amazing to get a hint on how to find good deals on finishing construction work in Tbilisi and other emerging economies, as you know, market is very sparse there. Thanks!

Fantastic and inspiring, Andrew. My plan is to schedule around my kids' school year, and in the english schools of Kuala Lumpur the winter break is as long as the summer's, so we can spend a winter month in Japan or wherever then back to school then a summer month in Georgia or Amsterdam or Uruguay or Chile or Montenegro then back to school.. I wonder what you think. I'll be receiving your organization's services after my next sell.
Nice spread of properties by the countries and by the usage/ purposes. Do you always use a local lawyer first to find a RE agent or you search RE through local ads/ classifieds or buy by someone's recommendation?? Is there in those countries you ve bought into, a Govt system of the repossessed or mortgagee sale for distressed property through a court, sheriff, debt collector or bank and what was your experience, if any? Why asking? Its usually the cheapest possible buy as someone s loss is your gain, and in property you make money, when you buy it, not when you sell it...
do you have any info on how to dip our toes into starting this without buying property and just subleasing it? what countries and cities are best for it.
You should consider Uruguay for your latin base, it has the most English speaking next to a couple central american options and its in the top 3 wealthiest next to chile and panama. And it has a wealthy high end beach town in punta del este. It has alot of European influence and likes to think of itself as a European country lol.
I like the idea of tier A, B, C, D.......hope you realize how fortunate you are to be able to do it.......and how few people can do it! Glad your living the dream though!
In one of your clips you mentioned that you would rather live in México than in Switzerland. That was kinda funny... Could you do a clip on how to buy real estate in México or Nicaragua at some point?
I love México too! It was funny though because Switzerland is associated with high safety, low taxes and wealthy people and México is associated with getting robbed. So your comment was really going against those clichés.
Just a friendly FYI, whichever country you buy your Apple iPhone in, is the same country where any needed "replacement" service will have to conducted in.
Question for you. How do you work through the security issue while away from property? Many countries are fill with opportunists waiting for you to leave your property alone.
Also running costs, taxes and repairs likely to be the same as the amount he was spending on hotels. Lots of hidden costs he’s not mentioning. Will be costing fortunes to have multiple properties on each of the tiers.
And a different question - you set this plan for yourself based on your idea of a single young person, ie perpetual traveller, and its easy when you re single. But in few years you ll be married, have kids, and they will need a stability, one school to go to, one language to learn at a time, etc. I understand that pre school or primary school could be done in one country and secondary or a high school could be in another country, but still need one stable place for kids to have less stress. What would be your best approach to this issue and which countries you could live in or recommend to keep all those tax free perks, safe n clean environment and well developed urban city infrastructure like KL, Istambul, Moscow or Singapore could offer to a family with kids..?
Well....it seems wonderful but other than the real estate appreciation i do not see a great ROI, using these properties in Airbnb might make some more sense from this angle
Great thought proces. Thanks! You are so right... Finding a decent place to stay is always a pain... So yes, i was thinking the same! Yoi give great examples
We've built out 4 tier 1 homes where we can travel to on a rotating basis and that works well for us. our next goal is to get a business place in my main city of business and then to build out the investments more, great info as always Andrew
Interesting video Andrew. My question for how long can you continue this lifestyle? in other words what are your options if you plan to start a family? in this case where is home?
I own resort properties in 3 countries. I receive a good income and can either use or get use of owner discounts at other resorts owned by the resort group. I hardly stay at my properties. I have a base property in my home country where I spend a majority of my year and travel every 2 months for 1 month.
I’ve had difficulties even with just a single owned property located in a country I wasn’t living in. Maintenance, security, property management, tenant management in the case of rental properties...it can be a nuisance and in some cases a real calamity when things go south. Do you hire any staff to help with the management of these properties?
I know I want Tokyo to be my 1st Trifecta, it actually is extremely affordable and safe, especially for someone with residency in the healthcare system despite the rumors. I think Dublin would be another great one since getting Irish citizenship as a dual citizen is easy having Irish Heritage and would be a great platform for investing in the entire European market. The United States would be a good 3rd base since I am an American Citizen and would be convenient. Due to the increasing dysfunction and unrest in the US, I would make it 3rd on my list of three.
What if you’re income right now couldn’t support investing in your tier A property, is there any reason investing in a tier c or d place first isn’t a good idea? For example, I’m looking at some of the more rural areas of Montenegro, not too far from the coast but just far enough I could afford a decent place to work from home with a little land. Eventually I’d like to invest in enough property for some of these buy in citizenship places like Montenegro or Turkey but I’m just not there yet. Point is, I would prefer not to drain endless money into California rent while I build my biz.
I love your idea. I hope to get to that level. Getting second passport through my father’s country of birth which will allow me to purchase property in that country. That is step one. Malaysia is on my radar. I love Asia and Southeast Asia but seems like KL is a good location with proximity to everything. Would love to land in a location knowing I could stay in my own home, with my own things set up the way I want and ready to go. Great advice. Still deciding on a 3rd. I’ve always loved Europe but still have many more places to explore to define the right country. Like you said, you have to take into consideration their taxation laws including wealth tax.
I remember you talked about your business experience with radio station as well as swimming pool maintenance company. Now, you do consulting of high net worth individuals, obviously. So which business propelled you to be a multimillionaire?
I like the multiple residences in Thailand. Own 2 and rent one, desire to own it and the unit next door eventually... Same same as ready in each one with the exception of work space (audio project studio) in the rental...
Andrew, this idea is completely unpractical. It sounds so cool and very romantic for someone who ...never tried it. I kept three places on three different continents travelling between them. After 4 years of doing it I finally said "enough" as keeping two households, maintaining all three of them paying three car insurances, property taxes (even tiny ones), electric bills, internet bills, etc. etc. was not really worth it. The only advantage of that was that after all that time I realized I liked one of them more than the others. I am totally with you Andrew about most of the things you say. But sometimes you over-do it. I have no doubt that in few years you will realize that living in those 3 places is not that great thing. You may shrink it to just 2 places or even only one. But great video anyway
Hey Andrew! Love your videos and your channel! But your musical intro theme song is a bit overwhelming on the ears compared to the info parts with just your voice. I find myself scrambling for the volume button to turn the music down when it kicks in with more than one of your videos. Thought you might want to know...
My assumption is you apply same rules as you would to a foreign passport holder. Just depends on the passport, as there many visa-free exclusions. Worst case scenario you get a B-2 at US consulate and go. What I would be interested to learn, if there was any prejudice to Andrew, as someone who renounced a US citizenship.
What does management look like for multiple properties in different countries? Property management standards for investment homes in the US vary greatly - same elsewhere?

Well....it seems wonderful but other than the real estate appreciation i do not see a great ROI, using these properties in Airbnb might make some more sense from this angle
Great thought proces. Thanks! You are so right... Finding a decent place to stay is always a pain... So yes, i was thinking the same! Yoi give great examples
Another great video - love hearing honest discussion. You say the things I’m thinking.
We've built out 4 tier 1 homes where we can travel to on a rotating basis and that works well for us. our next goal is to get a business place in my main city of business and then to build out the investments more, great info as always Andrew
Thanks, Neil.
Love that way of being in the world
Im feeling that new intro
Really enjoy the content in the videos posted on your channel. I'm in the process of living this type of lifestyle in the very near future.
Appreciate the kind words, Kenneth.
Shlepping is a big pain!! It’s with having a base just for that!
Interesting video Andrew. My question for how long can you continue this lifestyle? in other words what are your options if you plan to start a family? in this case where is home?
Have multiple wives and many children spread across the globe
The trifecta is a good framework to start from. I am currently setting flags in Georgia :).
Good luck, Hürol
Are there sand beaches in Georgia?
Yes, but likely not the best.
I own resort properties in 3 countries. I receive a good income and can either use or get use of owner discounts at other resorts owned by the resort group. I hardly stay at my properties. I have a base property in my home country where I spend a majority of my year and travel every 2 months for 1 month.
Pure Raw Straightforward Info, Thanks Andrew
Morning Prof. I am waiting to catch your latest upload. Oh...guess what? I .....just .....ordered my copy of wait for it....your book😃😃😃😃😁
looking forward to hearing first impressions
Absolutly with you!! Fun side note: Thinking about buying a home in Montenegro right now ^^
I’ve had difficulties even with just a single owned property located in a country I wasn’t living in. Maintenance, security, property management, tenant management in the case of rental properties...it can be a nuisance and in some cases a real calamity when things go south. Do you hire any staff to help with the management of these properties?
Stay tuned for a future video on this topic.
Great information. Gives me a basis from which to begin.
What percentage of these tier A/B places are condos vs houses?
I know I want Tokyo to be my 1st Trifecta, it actually is extremely affordable and safe, especially for someone with residency in the healthcare system despite the rumors. I think Dublin would be another great one since getting Irish citizenship as a dual citizen is easy having Irish Heritage and would be a great platform for investing in the entire European market. The United States would be a good 3rd base since I am an American Citizen and would be convenient. Due to the increasing dysfunction and unrest in the US, I would make it 3rd on my list of three.
do you fly private or still fly with airlines?
I am doing the same thing in Latin America and Africa. Life is good...
One do not have to become fully nomad to enjoy the benefits of financial success.
I have no plan to buy properties in another country but it is good to learn other perspectives. Thanks!
great video!
I have a question how do you manage your houses around the world?
Good question; stay tuned.
watching this video only now. Amazing concept of having several core homes. Dare to live differently!
You should look up Santa Cruz in Bolivia for your South America base.
Intro is 🔥🔥🔥
Hi, Good video, in your old age if you want financial need, how do you dispose the property.
Great new intro. ❤️
New style brother ❤😊💚💛😍 great intro, greatest guidance and support to everyone , Team Nomads
Thanks!
I remember you talked about your business experience with radio station as well as swimming pool maintenance company. Now, you do consulting of high net worth individuals, obviously. So which business propelled you to be a multimillionaire?
We will be addressing this in a few upcoming videos.
Excellent! Thanks!
Hi Andrew, may i know how many Citizenships do you have?
Thanks, AG. We'll address it for future videos.
Now THAT’S an intro. Amazing stuff Andrew.
Thank you.
I want to buy in South east Asia, but Foreigner can't own a property in south east Asia.
How do you do that in Malaysia?
That's beautiful. And personal aspirations. :)
Thank you, Jessica. 🤗
excellent content, I enjoyed it. I share your view of classifying properties in tiers, depending on subjective criteria.
I know this is really the topic of the video, the one to renounce you’re US citizenship ,how difficult is it to come back to visit
Done. Chicago, Stockholm, Gold Coast QLD
do you rent your properties or are they empty most of the time?
Stay tuned.
What does management look like for multiple properties in different countries? Property management standards for investment homes in the US vary greatly - same elsewhere?
