    WOW! Beautiful Sky, My nickels ring up 53 on the AT Pro, Amazes me how people have little regard for our beaches and playgrounds, they're so laze they won't even walk 25 feet to throw their trash in a garbage can. As always great video content, Thanks Basia

    Hey there - just found your channel and love your bio. It is very true that you can only enjoy the moment that is "now" and doing what you love is important. We love travel and treasure hunting and have recently started our vlogging journey - great to share and give something back. Great to watch your metal detecting hunt...we have a metal detector but haven't used it too much yet. We mudlark on the forshore of the river Thames London....you my find some of our mudlarking vlogs of interest. Treasure huntig is so much fun isn't it....the hours just fly by. So many coins you found and love your sieve

      Hello, thank you for coming along on my hunt. Yes, this hobby is amazing, so easy to lose track of time! My scoop works well for me. I have one with a long handle but don't like to use my foot to push it into the sand. Will definitely check out your channel. Have a great weekend.

    Oh Basia, what an incredible sunrise, thank you. Sunrises and sunsets across any body of water are beautiful, but there's just something extra special over the oceans. Maybe it's the added sounds from the ocean. So 277 in quarters and not quite yet the end of September. Great job, I'm hoping for that 500 number for you. Does your detector go under water or is that just not something you're interested in?

    • @basiatoday1872
      @basiatoday1872  7 років тому

      Hi Kathy. I agree those colors were amazing! My detector is not waterproof so no going in the water with it for me! I see you upped the number to 500 now, I thought were working for 300-350!

    • @kathyschwab9949
      @kathyschwab9949 7 років тому

      +Basia Today Well.....according to my guesstimate, at the rate you're going and this is not even MDing but every few days you can exceed 400 with no problem. You only have a little over 125 to go and 92 days to do it in. Everybody knows you find at least 5 everytime you go out. It's like those little quarters are waving and hollering, "Basia, Basia, we're over here!" Or, they just bounce themselves right up on the surface all excited because they know you're on the beach. At just 5 each time you go out at just 30 days is 150, well over the 400 mark. And.....if you take those 500 quarters once you reach that number, you'd have a great down payment for an underwater detector. Imagine what you could find then! But, if you think you can only reach 300 or 350, well....I would be happy for you. I just know how much happier I'd be for you at 400 and 500....I'd would be ecstatic for you! Rah, rah, rah!

    • @basiatoday1872
      @basiatoday1872  7 років тому

      Oh so crazy! Rah Rah Rah back at you! I have 3 months, hmm... I know those quarters are all out there at the low tide, I just have to go get them! Of course you will raise the number up once I hit the target number....

  • @swansboroboy639
    @swansboroboy639 7 років тому

    Great video, Basia. I heard you mention in an earlier video that you'd walked several miles. Is that your typical hunting technique or do you ever do a grid pattern in a smaller area? When walking do you move up and down from dry to wet or pick a line and move down the beach or just hit the spots that look promising? I was half expecting to see you on the beach the evening after the beach music festival. Keep up the great videos and great finds. Thank you.

    • @basiatoday1872
      @basiatoday1872  7 років тому

      Hi, I don't have a typical technique, pretty much do all of the ones you mentioned! If I hit some good targets I will walk the grid from wet to dry. If the targets are at top of the beach then I'll stay in dry. I always check tide table before going out so I know what the water is doing and then look for erosion and sand cuts (even the small ones). I always check the high tide line as I have found some great wash-outs! My fitbit keeps track of my steps so I know how far I walked. Did you detect after the festival? Any luck?

  • @charleswilder2985
    @charleswilder2985 7 років тому

    What is the deepest you find coins with that Teknetics detector? Since you are finding quarters and nickels, as well as the sinkers, I suppose you are finding everything available. A wine glass! I never found one of those, at least not intact! That knife cleaned up very nicely! You sure find lots of coins, especially quarters! Well done! Also, you are right to criticize the lazy slobs who litter the beach even with a trash receptacle nearby!

    • @basiatoday1872
      @basiatoday1872  7 років тому +1

      Hi Charles, the deepest coin was a penny, about 18" down. I hope I am finding everything that's out there to be found. The wine glass was washed up by the high tide way up on the beach. The quarters are the heavy coins that get dropped or get washed out by the tide. This hobby is amazing for me!

    • @charleswilder2985
      @charleswilder2985 7 років тому

      A penny at 18" with the standard coil is surprisingly good! I found a hairpin at 18" with my Minelab Excal II, but I was using the NEL Attack 15" coil. I don't know it my standard coil would have found that hairpin - but it was a screaming, loud signal. Gold luck to you!
