Priced very high and the parking will be a problem. Should have reserved spots close by the building and make sure that the spaces are not taken by non-residents during the events at the square.
I’m guessing that is for people 55 and older and some of these people aren’t going to want to have to park far from their apartment if they have to do that sometime if there’s not reserved spaces. Plus, people from many age have groceries to carry from their car and don’t want to lug them so far
Wow, that’s really sad that there’s no Katie bells anymore. That was long before I came , but I think it was a really wonderful idea to have a dance place just for villagers and a unique atmosphere and music and bar. At the present time at all, the squares are open to everyone from all the towns around and anybody who wants to visit, which makes it a tourist spot and interesting. However it makes it often very crowded so the villagers don’t have their own place anymore. I’m sad that I didn’t get to see the original one and experience it. 😔
Katie Belle's was such an icon, hate to see this happen to it. I taught my son how to two-step at Katie Belle's. And don't even get me started on closing the Rialto...
Many people now have told us about their love for Katie Belle's. It really is a shame we missed it. We're glad you have fond memories to cherish! Thanks for watching and subscribing!
While I think it would be great to live a few blocks from one of the town squares, I don't think I would want to live right at the town square...I would love to be inside one of the apartments when a band is rocking at 6 pm....like Rocky & The Rollers, The Spazmatics or The Hooligans. And no covered parking for autos at that price? 40 more apartments planned for Spanish Springs...interesting. The developer will find a market for these apartments, but it would not be for me.
No covered parking,.. how about no parking period ? What are tenants to do when they come home & there is no place to park, as all the spots are taken by people coming to the square from other nearby areas ?
@@ellathomas8642 Exactly! Thanks for watching! We were there last night at Costal Del Mar (which was excellent) and they were working on the golf cart parking hut that looks like it will have a cover.
I like this as I cannot walk like I use to! I am looking at a electric scooter that I can ride and take on the airline to Florida in order to travel through the Villages, and take my grandkids to Walt Disney World!
Good question... not sure. We toured them in March. They are planning 40 more apartments in the building that Genesis is housed in. Where will they all park?
@@IGoWhereYouGo I guess they will use the existing parking areas......perhaps TV will build a parking garage on the existing parking lot. However, if the original seven apartments are still not rented, perhaps the new project will be scaled back. It seems like the Genesis Gym project is behind schedule (?).
One feature I really dislike in a kitchen is locating the sink facing the family room. Dirty dishes , clean dishes , dishes drying on a rack……all visible from every point in the room. This sink placement seems to be the style in new-builds and it is a deal breaker for me!
They put up fake "historical marker" type of plaques? That's ok in Florida? And here I was worried about deep fakes & AI mischief online. I appreciate that you included that info-thanks.
I saw those plaques at first I was reading them because I was wondering about them like to read about history but when I found out they were fake I think that’s really stupid thing to do. Why would you want to do that? I just confuses people.
@@noreenn6976 Brownwood Lofts are much more reasonable. At the time when we inquired 2022, they were under $1600. People keep renewing year after year so there is no vacancy.
Seems to me that this place is gonna be kind of noisy. It's ok if you are into this type of center of town, lively place for young at hear folks. it could get a bit tiring after the initial excitement of living in such a place.
I still don’t know why people want double sinks? Do people really brush their teeth together? I keep thinking if you have two sinks that’s just one more sink to clean. My parents had only one sink in each bathroom and everybody did fine.
When we both are getting ready at the same time it is crowded in our bathroom with one sink. Plus it gives you more counterspace. I know... first world problems.
no doubt they will raise the rent each year. parking to far from the building. is it safe to where your golf cart will be parked? More people, more noise .
In your everyday life of having groceries to carry and other shopping bundles you don’t want to park far from your residence. These are older people not twenty year olds. Sick and have to go to the doctors and you have to walk all that way to your vehicle. All that rent and you have constant noises and try sleeping to the sound of rock and roll bands. I prefer a yard, greenery and a peaceful place to come home to. I would also worry about being upstairs from a restaurant. Maybe roaches get in your place. I love the both of your voices. Very soothing.
@peri3818 very good point about carrying groceries. I currently live in a 2 level townhouse with 12 stairs to get to the upper level where the kitchen is...at 37 when I bought my place the stairs were were not a big deal. Fast forward 26 years, and I am no longer a fan of the stairs. Next home, hopefully next year, no stairs. Imagine an 80 year old hauling groceries from their car to their apartment in July or August in Central Florida.
@@lauralampe1664 I guess stairs kept my grandmother young because she went up and downstairs throughout her 80s and lived past 100. But she didn’t live in Florida heat either.

Yikes the apartments are way too pricey for me!
We were shocked at the prices. The numbers are taken right off their promotional materials they gave us.

Love Spanish Springs

I would have loved to have had the dance hall. Something like in the old music video from the Kinks.
Interesting! I enjoyed the history.

The nightly noise from the live music would get old for us fast. We’ll stick with a quieter courtyard villa.

As a paralyzed person living in TV, sadly, once again the developer completely misses the mark with ADA. Thank your sharing the tour.

Beautiful apartments but very expensive! I thought renters pricey in MA. You’d be better off buying
They are unique but yes expensive even for The Villages.
Wow, for that much $ one could buy a +$450,000 house. The price is definitely a detractor especially with the potential for near-term rent increases.
There are only 7 in that building. There were 3 rented out by the time we did the tour a couple weeks ago. Thanks for watching!
Wow, costing over 3,500 just for a one bedroom apartment !!!!
That was the cheapest one we saw!
Wouldn’t 20 foot ceilings cost very much for air conditioning!?
