This might actually be one of the mature/adult arcs of the show between all the violent deaths and the overall themes

Interesting arc, we see a lot of Vader in Anakin in this arc, between the Anger and Force Choke he shows, and the amount of killing he does in these episodes.
You're right about the queen too, she is an interesting character, a queen of slaves you'd think is irredeemably unlikable, but the way she's written makes you feel a little sympathy for her. Also her final words to Anakin, "just as you are" is more fuel to the fire as to how he feels about being used by the Jedi in Episode 3

I think ahsoka being so little in the episode is intentiomnal. She is a true jedi. She respects her people, but she seperates her emotions from her life. This is just a case like everythign else. People that need her help. Nothing special.
