However I first needed permission and legal papers. I went to Mexico City government building to get my permission. WELL, i was told to leave the country, and re-enter legally. So I was deported. They are given the opportunity to "test out" by taking the state board exams. Once they pass, they can apply for any position available in their field. If they've been here 23 years, why is there STILL a problem with them becoming citizens? Whatever it is, they should have been able to straighten out by now. And how much of the kids' tuition has been paid for by legal, native-born citizens? If they wanted to see the kids graduate, they should have taken ALL steps necessary (including becoming legal) to see that they could. Their story isn't passing the sniff test. They've been here and using the U S long enough. It's way past time for them to go back home.

I didn’t understand then, but I do now, how valuable Freedom can be. And if Freedom was free, no one would want it so bad.
