That means nothing. The majority of second third and even 4th children were either married off to foreign nobility or given their own dukedoms in the kingdom.
Sibylla was madly in love with Guy de Lusignan. Her brother had wanted her to marry a more powerful ally but relented due to their love. This movie butchers history at every turn
Marton Csokas is a baller actor, holds his own with any other big baller actors. From this to the Equalizer, Bourne, even Lord of the Rings, he's a champ.
Funny thing is the guy dressed in Templar robes would not be a lord nor married as The Knights Templar were not a part of Middle Ages nobility but monks that took vows of chastity and such.
Many were former lords, but were required to take a vow of poverty and chastity. Guy de Lusignan was not a Templar IRL though, but did become King of Jerusalem by way of his marriage to Sibylla. Also, Balian of Ibelin was not a French blacksmith, he was of Italian knightly stock. Whilst Guy was married to a de jure Queen of Jerusalem who loved and supported him, Balian was married to a former Queen consort of Jerusalem. I enjoyed the movie, but like Braveheart it's pretty much all a load of crap lol
@@ZFighter2100 The French guy in the Templar garb is Guy de Lusignan. In real life he was not a Templar, but in the movie he was depicted as one. The movie also incorrectly depicts Raynald de Châtillon as a Templar. The movie has many inaccuracies about real events and people, but it's still worth watching.
ahhh the good old days when movies had great writing great acting great editing and sound , its insane how bad movies and acting and just all of it has become .
I love this movie! Many of those depicted were actual people. The Greatest Knight, William Marshal visited Jerusalem while the leper King, Baldwin IV of Jerusalem and his sister Sibylla, Queen of Jerusalem with her husband Guy of Lusignan lived there as well. Funny William Marshal also lived in England and served King Richard while Richard was off on his crusades and "Robin Hood" would've lived. William stayed back in England while Richard was gone telling Richard that he had already been on his crusade to Jerusalem. :)
The most unrealistic thing about the movie is guy wearing that templar suit. And of course....the portrayal of the m0us3 slims as some sort of "great people" worthy of respect. And not exactly the opposite. Which they were...and sadly still are.
I get Social Security. Would love for it to not be taxed....but, what is being said is not the whole truth. When you work, a portion of your wage goes to social security AFTER taxes. Some also goes to Medicare. The total the employee pays for both Social Security and Medicare is 7.5%. That 7.5% is matched by the employer. 2 X 7.5% = 15%. When you draw Social Security the Federal Government does not tax the first 15%, because that amount has already been taxed. No different than a Roth, for instance. The 85% you are taxed on for Social Security is based on your total income in the year it is obtained. Federal tax paid on Social Security is always based on your total income minus deductions. It may be nothing, or it could be 30% if you are a high earner. Learn before you react to these videos that do not divulge the whole truth.
How was it propaganda and what was propagandized? This is a question not a challenge. I have the movie paused just after Smitty's dear ol' papá passed into whatever and wherever his eternity is.
Ms Eva Green so rizzed him. Her customs and attire in this Motion Picture are so dazzling and shiek. She is so very easy on the Eyes. She is Marvelously Gorgeous 😍
