Nah I want Horses honestly I don't know what's better for the horses but I use shavings since their easier to clean up and dispose of but in winter we use straw since it insulates the stall and keeps it warmer. Dust-wise I guess it depends on how fresh the straw is? Shavings always seem dusty though.
What types on horses do you have because my mum said she will not get me a thourobread cause they have to be stabled during winter which is £££££ so please see this btw ur my fav YT channel :)

At the yard where I currently loan and used to work (until the riding school element shut down) we use chip (sliced up trees and that) and always make banks to save it. Once we have taken out all the pee and poop, we make banks along the sides with the ok chip and sweep the stable floor. Then we (would) leave it to air to do the other stalls, then take down the banks to cover as much as possible (still leaving some banks) and then get a wheelbarrow of chip to cover the rest. Then fill the haynets with fresh hay, sweep it back and put the horse back in. Wow that was long 😂😂❤️❤️
It’s hard to muck out my horse’s stable because when he goes to the bathroom he moves when he does it. And when I come to let them out, he pees right in front of me! I’m like “BOI YOU KNOW I’M GOING TO LET YOU OUT RIGHT NOW!!”😤😆

I use a 'poop scooper' to get the pool that's not mixed in with the bedding, then I use gloves to get all the little bits of poor that are mixed around/buried 😁 I use the gloves to get up the pee that's on top of the bed (as he's deep littered and it gets taken out once a week) as it's easier. I find I barely have ANY bedding in my barrow afterwards 😊 I use flax (which is he same as easibed)
I have a question.... where did you get your muck trailer? I’m going to be moving soon and this video really helped because we’re going to live with horses! And your videos are really interesting too!

I love seeing other people mucking out their stables. Especially when they are doing it differently. In the barn where i work they have these wood pellets, that turn into powder, when they get wet. So it's really absorbent and dust free and you have literally no muck at all. On good days i have one wheelbarrow load for 7 stables. But the process is pretty similar to yours :)
Can u do like a full clean up when the weather gets better pls? Like pampering the horses/donkeys, cleaning tack, cleaning the yard and the tack/food rooms and stuff like that ❤️
I have a a "trial" I guess you can call it, to determine if I can volunteer over the summer at my stable that I ride at and I think this really will help me 😊
