Now this explains why Sooin's introduction is like an action movie! She's really a good actress for a beginner! Not to mention her amazing dancing skills
I didn't recognize Ella at first, but now I remember her. She's been known for being a child model on social media for years. I'm surprised and looking forward to seeing her in Kpop. 🤩
so their label ceo is Teddy the main song maker of blackpink and 2ne1. Teddy used to work for YG the label of blackpink, 2ne1, and baby monster. he formed his own company and now is debuting his own girl group which is meovv.
Thank you .... yes those are exactly the only things I know about these girls. I am so hyped because I actually like Teddy and his stly of music even though everybody is hating on him nowadays. But BP wouldn't have been BP if it weren't for Teddy and YG. He is a legend. And BP were my introduction to kpop in 2016. I just hope they don't go the same route as they did with Somi... I love Somi so much but she should have more releases.....
Before 2022, TheBlackLabel (TBL) was a subsidiary of YG Entertainment (YGE). This meant YGE had overriding control over and unfettered access to TBL, which also allowed YGE to control the release schedule for TBL and decree that TBL could not have any idol trainees. During 2022, TBL completed their transition from being a subsidiary of YGE to being an associate at YGE. This meant YGE no longer has overriding control over or unfettered access to TBL. After this was finalized, Teddy announced that he had been developing his own 5th gen girl group and TBL confirmed that they had trainees that were previously signed as models, actresses, and dancers. TBL then moved out of the old YG building to a new building that has nothing to do with YGE. During 2023, almost every artist at TBL had a comeback. Some of those artists have said that some of the music they just released had been previously held back by YGE due to schedule conflicts with artists at YGE.
In recent interviews, Somi has said that: 1. It takes about a year for her to make a song with her company's help. 2. She has three songs ready for release, but because she and her company could not decide which one would be the title track, none of those songs have been released yet. 3. Her company decided to release "Ice Cream" as a Summer special single in order to coincide with her being at KCON 2024, because it was done and had been made during YGE schedule release restrictions. She filmed the mv in one day a few days before going to the USA and only got to watch it after coming back to Korea. 4. After her "Game Plan" mini album release, she experienced hair loss due to the constant bleaching and hair dying. The hair loss was so bad that she developed a bald spot on the back of her head and they cut her hair short to remove her damaged hair, which caused her depression and delayed her comeback schedule for 2024. She is still doing treatments for her hair loss.
Thanks for that update... I didn't know about the hair problem, really sorry to hear that. Thats a bummer. And I was thinking about the issue of the YGE and TBL parting being part of the overlaying problem with the releases and some contractual scraps that were still floating around and needed time to be ended. Lets hope that everything goes well. For both Somi and for Meovv. The new girls look promising and I'm liking the visual vibe. Having Teddy on the steering wheel sounds like a good start.
About 5 years ago, is when Ella started showing up in vlives with Blackpink and when viewers asked who she was, the members would say first she was their little sister.
Same, Anna looks so much like Tzuyu in my opinion, almost like a sister or even a twin sister in some moments. In the comments people are also mentionning Tzuyu with a mix of Xiaoting (Kep1er) and Yuna (Itzy).
I think YG Teddy created this new girl group under the new sub label Blacklabel because Baby Monster is not getting what Blackpink was giving YG when it comes to music sales. Looking at the members reveal I can get an all visual role like all model ish vibe. I don't know all of their heights and background but I can feel that they were all models at one time of their young careers. I think the last girl is the rapper and the bad ass girl is the dancer and the rest are the vocalists I think.
TheBlackLabel is no longer a subsidiary of YG Entertainment. TheBlackLabel is currently an affiliate of YG Entertainment. During Q2 2024, YG Entertainment confirmed that Teddy is no longer a producer at YG Entertainment and no longer the Main Producer & Creative Director for Blackpink.
@@joenull5945 and signed I think Rose in BlackLabel or maybe it was Jisoo not sure. I just hope that Teddy would give them a unique vibe and not just follow the YG formula, I hope they won't sound like Blackpink or Baby Monster.
@@cyruscain6551 Rosé signed her solo contract with TheBlackLabel. She said she respects and trusts Teddy to let her do what she wants and let her grow in the direction she wants. Back when Jeon Somi signed with TheBlackLabel, she said the reason she signed with TheBlackLabel was because Teddy did two things that no one else did, treat her with respect and promise her that he will let her make whatever music she wants & not force her into a specific sound or style.

Ella and Anna are actually actresses as well, also Ella, Gawon and Anna were models.
GAWON was under YG as a trainee along with Babymonster members. They would know each other well. She joined The Blacklabel in 2021.

@NeonReactionsPierre Rosé is also a part of BLACK LABEL now for her SOLO activities!
All I know is Ella has been in the public eye for a long time as a model, and is close friend with the Pinks
About 5 years ago, is when Ella started showing up in vlives with Blackpink and when viewers asked who she was, the members would say first she was their little sister.
FYI.
TheBlackLabel dropped a new MEOVV trailer that features all of the members together and shows their debut date.
I just uploaded that :) :) AND I AM EXCITED!!!!
Debut date pinned on 6-Sep-2024 6pm KST.
I'm so glad that you made a reaction to MEOVV revelation of members trailers too, because I also like them too, especially ELLA! :)
I can't wait to hear what they sound like
