I'm glad to see you just as confused as I was about the dinosaur appearance after watching this, they definitely do a great job with these intros, both visually and from a concept/storytelling perspective it's very intruiging. Surprisingly excited for this new group going forward!
It seems what added to his confusion was watching the teasers out of release order. He was still thinking about dinosaurs when watching the Ella teaser, when that one came out before the Gawon teaser.
I think chloe/gawon is going to be my bias pre-video trailer based on predebut photos. I think the dinosaur might be her representative emoji or animal since she is tall. She is an all-rounder and can't wait for the other members and debut!
Izna is gonna be produced (music) by Teddy but wont debut under them, thats Wakeone. Meovv is tbl's first girls group and artist debuting under them (Somi was a redebut as a soloist). Ella Gross's height is not current height lol. I believe all the members, with the exception of Ella, are over the age of 18.
Yeah my concern with the amount of and frequency of new music is unfortunately a problem for both groups, assuming Teddy wants to lead production for MEOVV. Ah didn't even think about the height being outdated, Ella might be taller than me now too 😭
Regarding the frequency of new music keep in mind that before 2022 YG Entertainment (YGE) controlled the release schedule for music made by TheBlackLabel (TBL) due to TBL being a subsidiary of YGE. As a subsidiary, YGE had overriding control over and unfettered access to TBL. During 2022, TBL completed their transition from subsidiary of YGE to being an affiliate at YGE. This means YGE no longer has overriding control over or unfettered access to TBL. After the transition was finalized, Teddy announced he had been developing his own girl group and TBL confirmed that they had trainees, which had been previously signed on as models, actresses, and dancers due to YGE prohibiting TBL from signing trainees. In addition, TBL moved out of the old YGE building and into a new building that had nothing to do with YGE. During 2023, almost every artist under TBL got to release a comeback. Some of those artists have said that some of the songs they just released had been made several years ago but were delayed from being released due to YGE citing schedule conflicts with artists under YGE. So, to be fair, determining music release frequency from TBL should start in 2023. Since before 2023 it was controlled by YGE.
@@joenull5945 exactly ! 2023 literally all artists under tbl had a comeback and this year (2024) I think they only slowed down for the obvious reason of them moving buildings and hiring a bunch of people for this new phase of the company. they just settled in the new building (though there is still construction going on) and started announcing things again - Taeyang tour, Somi summer cb (and she already said she will have another cb this year still), Rose upcoming album and now MEOVV debut.
Regarding Somi's 2024 schedule, during recent interviews Somi disclosed that: 1. It takes her about a year to make a new song with the help of the company. 2. She has three new songs ready for release but because she could not decide which one would be the title track, the company decided she just release "Ice Cream" as a Summer special single while they decide how to release her real comeback. 3. The song "Ice Cream" was originally made during the YGE release restrictions and the company determined they could quickly release it to concide with her appearance at KCON (the mv was made in one day, a couple of days before she flew to the USA). 4. After her "Fast Forward" era, she experienced hair loss due to the constant bleaching and hair dying. The hair loss was so bad that she developed a bald spot on ther back of her head and they cut her hair short due to all her damaged hair. This caused her depression and she didn't want to go out in public, which delayed her comeback schedule more than what she originally wanted. She is still doing treatments for her hair loss.
