I don’t get this whole “adding bubbles where the animals are” thing. If your return pump is functioning, the water in your sump and the water in your display are as good as identical. The water wants to be like the air (in simple terms) the pao2 of the water wants to equalise with that of the air. The skimmer simply aids toward that equalisation. If you’re providing oxygen-poor air into your skimmer then it’s not helping you. It’s not a question of “SO IM RIGHT!”. Dr Bingman is explaining it very very well.
