These guys know how to put emotion into their lyrics, Joel and Michael in their vocals and the rest of the band doing what they do best, playing their instruments with passion. Man, this band has something that's missing in the music nowadays. I love the whole album, but specially I love how powerful the lyrics and melodies are in this one.

+sam garcia Yes they are, but the band is not if that makes sense. They stated in an interview that they wanted to convey their feelings and morals etc. and not the bible, they are not spreading christianity in that sense. Their morals are christian tho so you decide for yourself how to interpret this. In short; the members (at least some) are religious, but the band is not i guess

So much raw emotion, it's perfect.
This was the first song I heard from them. I'm a huge music fan so I listen to A LOT of music. Ranging from everything from Rap, Metal, EDM, Pop, Punk and everything in between. But this song. Damn. It just hits me really hard. I've never ever cried so much listening to any song before. It just connects so well to being so far from home and missing all your family and friends. The lyrics work so well with the tone of the music. The way these guys balance between screaming, clean vocals and the talking vocals are perfect. And to back that up, the melodic guitars and perfectly timed beats of the drums. It truly gives you a mix of awe, calm and longing. Nicely done. Thank you for this!

BAAO are really so good at filling their songs with emotion. This one gets me every time. Watching my best friends graduate yesterday was amazing but really difficult since two of them passed away. The grad class of 2014 is missing some really good people.

I can so deny that. Both albums are phenomenal. I've pretty much had this album on solid repeat for near a month. L'exquisite doleur, this track, the poets cry for more, grace teach us what we lack, etc. So many great songs.
The albums are different and this one shows a lot of growth and a different approach to their music.
It's okay to prefer one album over the other, but to act like one is a better work of art is a bit silly. Both are extremely talented.
