Cool video! Did y'all run wintergreen falls on the Toxaway (the triple waterfalls just before you get to the bend where there is a nice pool. Next from just there is the land-bridge rock. At the bend, that is where the hiking trail to Wintergreen Falls comes out. It is brutal, you literally hike straight up the nose of that bend and a few miles through pretty heavy stuff to the highway. Anyway, fabulous spot! Probably just as easy to get to by Kayak than by hiking! Safe travels back.
"off the Apps down to the Piedmont" do you mean the Alps and the Piemont area? because if so, thats roughly on the other side of the Globe. the video takes palce in South Carolina, USA. but then again maybe theres an area there called the Apps and Piedmont?
It really is insane. The stretch through the Windy Falls area of the Horsepasture is as wild as any river I've ever seen! I live about a half hour away myself. Try to get out there when I an for good hikes. Can't believe you guys ride these things!

Family has a cabin near there. Crazy how you get so much gradient off the Apps down to the Piedmont. .
