I use a Moser 1400 hairclipper (0 gaped) it works great (had it for 6+ years, that's quality), but I also love the headshave look and feel. But I can't shave my head every day, since my head get extremely sensitive.
I use the wahl shaver shaper every 3-4 days and works great, but if the hair grows more than 4 days the shaver strugles to cut, so i have to use a regular razor to finish the job.
@@OwenJackson well I just use the regular razor in order to get a “perfect “ shave, the shaver shaper does a great job but there are some difficult areas where leaves me with some hair, so I just finish my routine with a few strokes of the disposable razor blade. It’s like a complement using both, but after you use the shaver shaper it’s the closest thing to a straight razor with the benefit of not getting cut
TOP TIP for people getting shaving bumps or cuts on face. Put shaving balm on your face 10 minutes before you cut and allow to dry. You won't get cuts or saws then! I found that out after 10 years.
I've been using these clippers for years. They are absolutely the best for bald guys. I also just bought a babyless pro foil shaver to get me down to skin level. It's great combination

The blade works very well in a Kimei clone as well, in my experience. Just don't try to use the taper, obviously. Zero-gapping is possible and I have done it but yeah, be careful. Tooth alignment is also very important, read the instructions since the teeth are so fine they really don't tolerate much misalignment.
I have this clipper, and like it, but am tempted to try one of the rotary style razors? Thoughts? Or should I just keep the known ace, Wahl balding clipper?
When adjusting the blades you should be set back maybe a mm or a mm and a half and it clips with no cutting or scratching. you do not put them level with each other.
Nice review. I have those clippers and they do an awesome job, but they do not leave a slick scalp like I prefer. I'm not balding so there is much hair to remove and these are great but finishing off with a wet shave is best!

I put a drop of oil in each corner where the cutting plate meets the fixed plate, then run the clippers for a few seconds to disperse it. Then wipe away any excess. I'm not sure if that's correct. I'm open to suggestions but that seems to work for me 👍 And I agree these clippers are great and still serving me well 💈

I agree with @exlipticisrael The clippers only have 4.5mm an 1.5mm attachment and no with no lever for finer control when blending. Great for a short and tight cut but there are probably better all round packages. All the best

Hi Stevie, thank you for the question. It's a great point actually and I should have covered it in the video. There is no adjustment. The head is fixed, so the cutting length is only altered using the clipper attachments [grade 0.5 + 1.5 if I remember correctly]. Appreciate the support and your comment. Honestly, all I do is just loosen the screws and use my thumb or finger to press the higher blade down, so there’s literally no gap. They did change the design of the blades a couple of years ago and if you look, the round off on the edges, as the other ones were slashing ppl😂 They are a fucker on the neck though 😂 just keep them as flat to your skin as you can and go against the grain. Sometimes I just use my Philips shaver for my neck. I find the more you use them, the less irritated your skin becomes. Had mine for quite a few years now. Also, don’t bother wasting money on shaver lube, olive oil or vegetable oil will do the exact same thing. I just put some on a spoon, squeeze the bottle in and then release when I put the nozzle in the oil and it sucks it in to the bottle.
I have had these years but mine recently broke and I can't trust myself to change the blades properly. The ones I have were made in the USA but the new ones were built in Europe. Is the manufacturing process the same? .... the ones I had cut really, really short but the new ones don't, maybe it's because they're new and need some time.
I'm not sure about the differences between the manufacturing processes. I would definately compare the position of the blde between the two as both should be 'zero gap'. Hope you find a solution mate 👍
hi, I believe because they are 'zero gap' they cut as close to the scalp as possible without using a razor. I can't comment in direct comparison to other Wahl clippers, but they are a significantly closer cut than my previous clippers. I like to keep my hair short so I find I have to use these less often. When you 0 gape the blades, the moving blade should be a bit lower then the outer blade (the blade that are against your skin). Then you should not cut yourself. Two mirrors are also helpful, to see the back of your head when you cut your hair.
Man, for the life of me I can't fucking align these. I have no idea how to or if I'm doing it correctly for maximum effectiveness. Please, please, please make a video on how to align these!
It’s simple, just loot at them in the light at an angle, switch them on and see where the refection is, then just align them. I might have to buy these and make a video .

I used Almost every possible shaving tools to shave my head until today and to be honest with you , I prefer shave with a super close clipper or trimmer instead of razors because it's faster and safer ! but as far as I still have full black thick hair on top of my head , I have to use razors to have a super clean and bald look ! in the following years when I started thinning and shedding on my hair then using clippers is going to be good 💪🏾
looks like you went in too steep when you said you think they cut you. Gapped correctly they wont cut. The wall detailer small silver one or the cordless copy with wahl blades fitted is a bit of kit but pulling your skin tight and trying to get a shave finish will cut you when you snag the skit

When I first started using the Balding clippers I was pressing too hard. Especially the bump at the back of my head. As much as possible, try not to press firmly, and let the blades do the work Hope that helps a little
I didn't like them at all. Resold mine after three tries. They dig in and attack any soft or loose skin, so they are only safe on a pulled taught scalp, where they are uncomfortable, slow, noisy, and corded. I can't think of one positive thing about these clippers.

natural oil - i got some apricot oil and i really like how that feels and smells on the skin.

Hey pal. I don't think it will be your best option for fades. Fades use levers to polish and remove lines.

Try to zero gap the blade so it's extra close and won't cut the neck area.

Scalp and neck really was burning 🥵 after using it . Showering after was agony 🙁

I didn't like them at all. Resold mine after three tries. They dig in and attack any soft or loose skin, so they are only safe on a pulled taught scalp, where they are uncomfortable, slow, noisy, and corded. I can't think of one positive thing about these clippers.

Grape seed oil or Almond oil. Is fantastic on my skin.u Only need a pee size. And it Doesn't leave u Greasy. Like Coconut oil.

Do you know of a better set of clippers for shaving a full head of hair? I’ve been using these for 14 years now, and they’re amazing. Still have yet to find a better clipper for this.
@@cjdig86 Yeah that guy is full of crap. These are the best and last a long time. My first pair lasted 9 years with oiling after every use.
@@chadwickhell you don't know me first of all to say I'm full of crap.My Andis gtx ang my babyliss trimmers cut closer than these.Hell my detailer cut better.All my trimmers are zero gapped and cut lower than these.Look at the manual and it will tell you the lowest these cut is about 0.3 inches. Not zero.I had these and I know about clippers
