Thanks for the help with my radio again, really got me past a wall with that one. I need to tear into my valve train more and see what all is going on. At some point someone put some different valve covers on and I’m not sure if that’s all they did. Really cool to see the original valve covers that say Thunderbird!

Hey. No problem. You should be able to see how the original valve train looks in my 399 build video if that helps. I really like the Thunderbird's original valve covers too. It's why I faught so hard to get them to stop leaking.

I looks like you dont have a pcv valve installed on the engine. It could be the cause of your oil leaks, building up crank case pressure.

I don't recall there being one on it when I tore it down and I do have a case vent in the oul fill cap that i added to the valve cover because I knew i needed some case vent. Any ideas if the vent I installed is enough or where the pcv valve was installed?

I hope you are going to be able to use the air cleaner and water coolant resivor

I will have to use an aftermarket air cleaner with the EFI system. The intake manifold is just too tall. And I'm working on a way to eliminate the tank as well.

Any FE block i have done you need sealant on the valve cover gaskets

It's my first FE and I'm sure learning a lot about them.

Normally only sealant on the cover side so can be removed easily

Gonna be a Bad Bird! Where did you attach the engine hoist on the back of the engine?

On the last two intake manifold bolts. It was a pretty close call with the firewall.
