Yeah I fw Brendon Nelson because he doesn’t mess around with fake optimism. He has a good understanding of what the team is, and they’ve pretty much been what he’s saying they were gonna be.
He doesn't have the annoying podcaster voice or fake media personality voice. Sometimes he rambles a little but it's not super annoying. Overall my favorite seahawks channel.
It’s hypothetical. The only positions you can say we’re thin or weak at are Oline and ILB. I’m pretty happy with the ILB performance so far, but it’s still one of the only position to really consider a trade for.
I’ll be honest, I think the speculation about Haynes is like trying to read tea leaves. I doubt this has anything to do with his skill or performance and entirely to do with the long term plan. The likely reason he isn’t starting is they see a future with Bradford at RG based on his raw athleticism. I’d bet the intention is to develop Haynes to be the LG after this season and replace Tomlinson, who is clearly not in our long term plans. Haynes is clearly the more polished player and would likely have been a great plug and play RG, but doing that would inhibit the development of both players. I think they’re willing to deal with the penalties, the main concern will be pressures, hits and sacks that Bradford allows.
I think we can make due with what we have if we coach them up and get guys healthy. Probably make a move for a RT next year if Abe is finished. Only move worth making this season is for a guard but there are few if any upgrades out there on the trade block.
We need both guards to exit asap. And what is up with Abe? dude's been hurt for 2 years. Never seen a guy be hurt this much. What's his problem? The other 20/20 is Evan Brown is playing very well at LG for Zona. Saw him vs an all pro at Buffalo and played well vs Rams. How are we so unlucky with OL? SF steals a beast after Haynes and Zona picks up our leftovers who is playing better than Tomlinson and Bradford combines. wtf?
I agree, but I think this idea is for a 3rd lb like if Baker is going to be out for a while and we don't want to give someone like Drake Thomas the third lb snaps.
I like Knight. He’s doing pretty good all things considered being a 5th round pick rookie and being thrown out that fast. Better than I thought he would forsure. Hynes I’m not sure on. I was really high on him out of draft but I’ve seen the film on his snaps and yikes. Only a rookie but if they had confidence he would be starting more. He has the tools to be a good guard

Give tyrice the reps until he starts effing up majorly. If he doesn't eff up, keep him in. These early reps will only make him better sooner rather than later

Brandon Schreff from jags is solid but it would be a 2 year rental at most. His salary is high to would have to give up a high pick to offset cap hit. It's worth trying.
If your 0-4 you ARE Selling, and taking trade offers and phone calls. I think Cincy, Tennessee, and Jacksonville are going to do fire sales if they go 0-4 or 1-5, the Trade Deadline usually forces bad teams to off load players to prepare for the next draft

I would like to see the Hawks give Haynes regular snaps if not outright start. McClendon Curtis deserves the chance to get a few snaps, even if only garbage time, at left guard. Also, Mike Jerrell and Sataoa Laumea deserves some snaps. I feel like a player learns more from practice if they have even a little game experience.
I still don't see why Olu isn't in at guard, since Williams is the center. He's not hurt that I know of and all the film I've seen on his limited play has been good. He was the best center in college his senior year and allowed zero sacks! Why is he warming a bench?!

How much younger can they get? Cross and Lucas are 3rd year, Forsyth is 4th year. Bradford and Olu (if he ever plays) are 2nd year. Haynes is a rookie. Connor Williams is only 27. Only Laken T and Fant are old, and they’re not supposed to be starters. If it weren’t for Abe and Fant getting hurt, it’s youth that’s killing our OLine. Bradford has gotten worse from his rookie season. Olu hasn’t developed which forced them to get a FA C who is starting over Olu. Williams is coming off an ACL and had less than two weeks of practice with the team before starting! Olu had an entire offseason with the playbook and first team reps in training camp and has been passed over on the depth chart by Sundell! Haynes isn’t ready yet, but he’ll take over for Tomlinson eventually. And if Abe ever gets healthy enough, Fant and Forsyth can go back to being bench guys. We don’t need youth. We have two more rookie OL that made the roster too. We’re plenty young at OL. We need more talent and to get healthy.
I know you talked about it but I do disagree about not putting more resources into RG. If Haynes ain’t it and Bradford can’t figure it out then getting a one year guy while they develop on the bench is worth it if it stops our QB from getting hit. At the very least it’s better than risking our QB getting hurt with the amount Bradford gets beat.

@@hiker-uy1bi Haynes has played and is still getting comfortable in the NFL and with the new blocking schemes, good chance he will be in the starting lineup in the near future…the other two are much too inexperienced to be ready for the league…..not all rookies immediately become starters or even useful reserves…..if you don’t know that, you don’t know football…..
NFL LB's are not worth trading for, you need a good DL & SECONDARY, LB's are not important anymore x5-6 yrs. Our current LB's are doing a good job, so why trade for a LB ?

I like tyrice. He is contributing as a rookie and isn’t a liability. Some players, like Cody Barton, never see his level of success.

Some young players take longer than others to get the NFL….you don’t put a C at G without much more experience playing the position….
