If it wasn’t for volunteers there wouldn’t be anything of old England left! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

    Well done Rick.
I was hoping to see him using his favourite angle grinder.
Great to see the water at the end.

Thank you for a bloody brilliant video highlighting a master bricklayer at work. A BRAVO ZULU to Rick and his merry helpers for all they have done for the restoration of the canal.

Could you have laid the blues on the end as brick on edge headers (reduced slightly) to remove the thick joint? Love what you're doing btw, keep going.

Really good work there from you guys, how do you get into this sort of work? Im a bricklayer who learnt my trade in the forces in 2000, left the army in 2007 and continued bricklaying when left, would like to get into jobs like this as i find them interesting and love restoring builds from year's ago where they took pride in there work .

We're all volunteers and welcome any new volunteers to join us. Google 'canal restoration' near you to see if there is a group in your area.

You should of used old bule bricks so you don't get that horrible big joint,

We'd prefer to use old ones, but they're very hard to get hold of.
