I've been a rural mail carrier for just over 30 years. I am on friendly terms with all the pups, cats, chickens, pigs, horses, cattle, etc, on my route. Years ago, I carried treats with me to give to the pups, but there was one pup who was never satisfied with one treat. He kept following me out of his neighborhood and down the road. Because I was stopping to service mailboxes, I couldn't pick up enough speed to leave him behind and escape his desire for more treats. He would follow me up to half a mile down the road, so I had to pick him up a couple of times, put him in my mail van, and drive him back to his house.
Thank You for your service, interestingly enough I’m moving and USPS charged me $1.10 to make my charge of address information online. It’s fine, very cheap in comparison to missing anything important. Have a great week
My black lab is exactly like this with my UPS man i feel sorry for him and give him boxes of treats once in a while because he must have a few of "friends" out there god bless him
If She could have swung her tail any harder, her whole back end would be in a Chyropractors office... good grief, I hope you make out, Like i intended!!😊
lol, i thought you were talking about the postal service driver at first and it made me think of the fat fedex or ups broad that just drove onto people's lawns and tossed the parcels at the porch
As cute as they are, we were created to rule over creation with God (before original sin) therefore setting us apart from animals and making us superior. Dogs were meant to be companions which they are If you didn’t know, Jesus will fulfill you more than anything in this world, I speak from experience (from when i did Romans 10:9-13), he loves you and wants to be in a meaningful (not romantic) relationship with you. :) “that if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.” Romans 10:9-13 KJV “and saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.” Mark 1:15 KJV If you want proof that Jesus and the Bible are true look a documentary called “Ron Wyatt discoveries 2022” on UA-cam and a UA-cam channel called Expedition Bible. They both examine archeological sites and discoveries that prove the Bible, and even reference secular sources. (Just don’t convert to 7th day Adventism after watching the documentary) And lastly if you don’t know the gospel and want to be saved search up “abc’s of Salvation Teenmissions” on Google and it should be the first or second result. When you click on it read the whole thing, and do what it says and have faith in Jesus while you are doing it, do not doubt, and if it is hard for you to do what it says, ask Jesus to help you, have faith that he will, and *he will.* God Bless :)
She could mow the whole lawn with that wagging tail! She looks exactly like my sweet Ginger, my best friend for 14 wonderful years! Labs are the best! 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
Speaking of mowing the lawn; back when we had a Lab mix and a lawn, he would follow my husband around while he was mowing, and the dog would always come in with the dreaded "Green Feet Disease"! It was deadly and (gasp) incurable!
@@cheriem432 I loved letting my yellow Lab goof around the freshly mowed lawn. She seemed to understand that being green was a special thing! Mostly she’d roll around until I’d call her back, but sometimes she’d do the ”Lab fit”, tearing around with green feet and ankles. The green would be gone in a few days, but my girl had a lot of fun. 🇨🇦🖖🏻🇨🇦
This lovely video of precious Emmy really touched my heart in two ways since my late father was a mail carrier in San Jose for 35 years and he had some favorite dogs on this route. I also was a parks gardener for the City of San Jose for 20 years and had some favorite dogs who would visit me with their owners and the Labs were some of my most favorite dogs. Thanks for sharing this very cute video! 🥰
I used to drop off bundles of newspapers to kids houses, and the kids would take them to people’s houses. I was out at 4:00am doing my route. I used to carry treats in my car, and would give them to dogs and even some cats that recognized me and came up to me.
Imagine a part of the United States government still using 1994 mail trucks. The branch of service where when you punch in, your card says 'Begin Tour', and you leave it says 'End Tour'. I love the USPS. they are the Hero's of America. Thanks for your service, Nice funny dog. Nothing like a loyal Dog, the best friend to the primates, rv
I lived out in the country a bit and use to get a lot of stuff from UPS. I had the nicest yellow lab, 14 years old and still going strong, who would meet the UPS truck, jump inside and get a treat from the driver. This was going on for a couple of years but one summer the regular driver took some vacation and the replacement driver had not been told about the old lab's antics so when he jumped in the truck for his treat, she pepper sprayed the poor old guy. I felt so sorry for him, especially as he was so loving and trusting. Needless to say, the new driver didn't get a Christmas card or tip from me come the end of the year. There is something about yellow labs that makes them special.
Her tail wags whilst waiting for her best friend, Kristy, as much as it does waiting for another bestie of hers, Linda Rose 💛✨️💗💖🩷💝💓💞💞. Emmy is a sweetheart 🐶🐕🥰.
I too had a lab that loved the letter carrier. Sandy, who was overweight, would literally climb our 6 foot fence to hang out in the front yard. We did not know this as we both worked and she would climb back over before we arrived home from work. One day we received a notification in the mail that our mail had been interrupted for a few days. Our regular letter carrier explained the situation. Our dog would follow her on foot as she walked the length of the 1/2 mile long route and back. The letter carrier would see to her getting across the street safely before getting back in her van. It was only when she went on vacation or her day off when other carriers refused because they avoided dogs. This continued for a year until that carrier was promoted into the office. They had a real friendship going on!
As a retired Letter Carrier, I can tell you that it is against regulations for a carrier to give a dog "treats". Their thinking is, what if a fill-in carrier does the route and doesn't know about the dog. Will the dog react negatively if it doesn't get a treat. That being said, I had a dog (large mixed breed) on one of my routes named Buddy. The owner instructed me one day to just give the mail to the dog and the dog grabbed the bundle with his mouth and brought it to his owner. The dog reacted like he was the most important dog in the world. Not quite according to the Regs either, but that dog was a peach.
Beautiful doggie, lovely delivery lady, FANTASTIC lawn edges well done. I thought only I did lawn edges that crisp and sharp. You can set your watch by those edges!!
Our U PS driver used to always bring a treat. One day when the van was parked and he was across the street our Scottie went out and jumped up in the Van looking for a treat.
Many years ago there were about six dogs that lived in the houses on the alley to my house. They all barked and snarled when I drove in to the driveway, so I began getting the cheapest package of hot dogs I could find, and gave one to each after grocery shopping. After about two weeks they stopped barking at me and just sat and waited for their treat.

I had a feeling there was treat somewhere and the dog wasn't excited just to be receiving the utility bill.
They usually greet people anyway.
One of my family dogs when growing up had a really large gas bill. Particularly when we snuck her cheese.
Lol
You could tell from the way she was licking her chops.

Aww💕🥰 She begins salivating and her nose starts twitching when the van is still a hundred yards away - she can smell the treats for sure.
The tail wags and whines say it all! Doggies are an infinitely superior species to our own.
If that were true, they'd have invented the ball and we'd be begging them for treats.
Not that difficult!
