He is sooo cute! I had a black lab as a grandson, he was my boy! Every time I drove in the yard Otis was waiting! He’d jump up to my window to get his pats and kisses! His real love was taking a swim in my son’s pool ( which was a no, no). He loved when I used to come on Saturday nights as he got two dinners! I would have my grandsons feed him only to find out my son had already fed him before he left! I miss my Otis so much. I.could write a book about his antics! RIP my baby!
We have an almost 6 month old … Chocolate Lab (Mickey Ganache)…. We haven’t had a puppy in almost 12 years! He’s a smart…cuddly… calm…trying…zooming out of nowhere… who has now learned how to “ voice his opinion”! ❤❤❤❤❤ 🐶 ! Our current key phrases are “NO! OFF! LEAVE IT! GIVE ME THAT! MICKEY WHERE ARE YOU?!” 😂😂😂😂😂 loving every minute of it!
He is so sweet ❤ my chocolate is almost 11 now, he has a new brother ( yellow ) who will be 2 in the Spring. They play together constantly. I think the yellow ( Cedar ) is helping Autzen ( Chocolate) stay young and active . I have 2 black labs as well, you simply cannot buy the love, loyalty and affection these wonderful animals demonstrate towards their owners. They are the best, and your pup is so cute !! Enjoy him as long as you can 😊
He is absolutely adorable. I had Black Lab growing up named Greg. Labs are the best. All they want to do is please. Was a little surprised by the food bowl. Not sure what that design does to improve the experience. But one thing I have learned over the years is elevated dog bowls can be beneficial for many dogs, especially larger and medium-sized dogs. Bending down to eat from a floor bowl can be uncomfortable and stressful for dogs, especially older dogs or dogs with joint issues. Elevated bowls allow dogs to maintain a more natural eating stance, bringing food closer to their mouth and reducing strain on their neck, hips, shoulders, and joints. Might consider trying it. Woody looks like he's going to be a big guy. About 70 lbs or better, and about 30 inches high. Start the obedience training early. He'll love and respect you for it. Hope he lives a long, uneventful life.
Love the puppy's owner she shows it incredible love I'm welling up just looking at this Thanks so much a beautiful puppy and my favourite breed God bless you darlin'♥
I dont understand some of the unkind comments here, it's jyst a cute video about a puppy and his daily life. UA-cam comments never fail to disappoint me though. Dont feel bad, this video is very nice! Keep it up.
Crate training is common and is a way to set up a place for your dog where they can go to feel safe and find comfort. It's a natural instinct for dogs to want to find an enclosed spaces known as "dens" for them to go to to sleep and feel safe. These crates are essentially their dens. Every time there's a storm my pup goes right to her crate because that's where she feels the most safe, in an enclosed space where she can hide from the thunder.
My choc lab female puppy liked to crawl onto my pillow above my head to sleep when I slept. She still does this, except she now weighs 110-pounds and uses a body pillow above my pillow, so I have something to put my head on. The things we do for our dogs.
I had a black lab too ,Bruno... he was purest soul I've ever met ❤he was naughty af !😂 but once grown up ,he was smartest ! He surely used to understand whatever we say and do but what we didn't say too! He was my best friend and my stress buster ,as he used to figure out whenever I was stressed and used to entertain or just come and sit beside me and would keep his face on my lap...❤ I miss you Bruno!! You're really missed ... RIP
Our Mandy learned how to put her paws into the child door holes to climb over. My dad tied some wood to the front and back, that slowed her down... for awhile.
Ok...im all for people having their own opinions and of course have no issue with it, but anyone saying about crates being abusive and that a dog shouldnt be in one. Im a dog trainer and crates whilst they may not look nice, are a perfectly safe way of (as a few of the other comments say) giving a dog - especially when they're pups a space to retreat to and feel safe in - hence why people sometimes cover them with a blanket that usually has the owners scent on as it is comforting for them😊. If you are worried about the dogs safety inside the crate, its your responsibility as the owner to make sure it is properly assembled and has a nice bed inside to cover the plastic inner tray. A cage should be big enough that the dog can lie down without looking squashed😊 Woodford isnt huge for a male, its difficult to tell from the video angle the actual size od his crate especially lengthways. I've had gundogs and pet dogs who weren't working and always used cages and outdoor kennels. They also help to teach dogs boundaries as trust me....not everyone wants a rambunctious hooligan hound running wild and diving all over furniture etc 24/7! Fair enough if you want that or dont mind it...your choice, but visitors may not like it! 😊😅
Aww woody what a lovely name And i am so in love with u , ur mama gave all the kisses for me to u ❤❤❤ U remind me of my caeser he would too hold my sandles while peeing 🤣❤️
Woody is much better behaved than my Holly when she was same age. We would shut her in the laundry as she was too naughty to roam the house. She ate a $250 dog bed, chewed the wood around the doors etc. These days she is a loving girl but still crazy enough she answers to ‘mental’ too.
Agree! I wish we didn’t do that here in Canada. If you want a dog in a cage, you don’t deserve a dog, especially as nice as Woody! Caging dogs is so archaic, and cruel!
@@josier521 I don't agree. Try sIeeping in a cage that someone eIse has Iocked you into. It's not naturaI, pIus after my neighbor's dog died in a house fire, I made sure my dogs had severaI escape routes to the yard.
@@Sukijopa Actually it is natural. In nature dogs will find small, well-defined places known as dens for safety, to rest, and for a place to avoid soiling. Crate training a dog simulates this and the crate becomes the dog's den and is a place they may go to find comfort and safety. That's why she has a blanket over the crate. It's a dog's natural instinct to find a den when they get scared or need a place to rest, it's why when a puppy gets scared of thunder or something else they scurry away behind the couch, or under the bed, or some other small tucked away location where they feel safe and not exposed. My dog either goes to her crate or under my desk if I'm home when there's a storm.

I would not crate an adult trained dog for 8 hours though. It's miserable I'm sure. P.s. I do agree with you!
For all the "crate training" enthusiasts otherwise known as animal abusers - how about you leave the door open and let the dog decide if he wants to stay in the cage?
Because dogs actually like crates. It’s an enclosed space for them to feel safe in a den.. also reduces the risk of a new puppy having accidents around the house or swallowing anything harmful , chewing furniture etc,.. also crate are only good In moderation and of course like almost anything you need balance.
Dear clueless crate commenter…….most responsible pet owners use crates as a place the pup will consider his/her space. After all, all dogs prefer and sleep better in someplace dark and secure. Finally, using a crate is a proven way to teach a pup when, and where to go to the bathroom….rarely will a pup go to the bathroom where they sleep. Once a puppy has been “house trained” not go to the bathroom inside the house…most owners leave the crate open so the pup/dog can come and go as he/she pleases.
