How did you get your backbox to fit/bolt onto the stock centre pipe? I ask because the m2 backbox seems its like a 2.5" pipe where as the standard centre pipe is like 1.3", so therefore didn't you have a gap which causes exhaust sound to leak?
Hi there, this varies from the sport and type r I believe the sport is 2.25 or something and type r is 2.50 so you may have a backbox that is made to fit a type r
@@Browniegarage Yea you're right. But most people out there including forums don't tell you that. Most I've seen is where yea they bought an M2 backbox and they slapped it on with no problems. No one ever tells you if they encountered problems and how they fixed it. So for example your ep2 must be a sport. The m2 backbox you got was also same diameter? I've also seen other who put their aftermarket backbox (including m2) on a hoffmann straight pipe on their ep2. Guys at hoffmann have said their pipes are exactly same as stock just unsilenced. So that means people have used their 2.5" backbox with a 1.7" stock (or 2.25") midpipe. So I guess people who reading this is asking where am I getting at? Point I'm making is people don't tell you. However I found solutions: 1) if you get bigger diameter backbox, then you need a new center pipe. 2) cut and weld. 3) buy a split flange with gaskets to help bolting on. 4) buy the right backbox (measure and know what you already have)
Ikr my insurance said they need proof from a mechanic saying that it doesn’t increase power. Like it’s only an exhaust/box at the end of the day. LET US CHILLLLLLL
i run the m2 with the £60 ebay Hoffman centre pipe sounds mad.It doesn't hang to low either
Nice and might have to look at one of them thanks😀
Does the m2 backbox fit exactly with the hoffman centre pipe? The centre pipe is 45mm in diameter
@@ssodell0 yeh it does. Bit raspy. I ran it with the m2 slash cut hornet, with bung in
Sounding sweet man, good work!
Cheers 😄
Sounds much better mate 👍
Thank you :)

Yeah ive seen pictures it does hang quite low and might have too thanks😄
@Kurt Rogers i have same exhaust and was thinking of decating it rather than getting non silenced pipe, why ure saying mid pipe is better off?
How did you get the backbox to fit the stock midpipe?
Was yours straight through back then?
Hey just wondering bro do you declare this to your insurance? Was thinking of doing it to mines but insurance is crazy at 18 haha

Dont declare anything lol
Hi, did you keep the stock centre pipe?
It had a unsilenced me mid pipe now
How do u open the bolts on the side.
i used a lot of wd40 for me the bolts broke off the flange as it was rusty so it might take a while depending on the condition etc
Do you still have this or have you done more
I have a type r now mate
Will this one fit on straight ony 1.4 ep2 4 lug
Im not too sure about that one sorry mate but possibly
