Indeed, the fact that she went back to him is just unacceptable
I don't see it as an open ending. The FL has been resolute since he cancelled the engagement. She didn't go back to him willingly and when she was nice to him she was just playing along until she could run away. As for the 3 day promise, she knew from the start he wouldn't make it 3 days so there was no danger in making that promise. I don't see that she changed her mind or softened at all. Even when he was hurt multiple times for her she didn't stay and take care of him. She didn't visit him in the hospital. I think it is well established that the FL will not reconcile with the ML. She even was developing a crush on her Senior. She has already moved on in her heart. My interpretation of the ending is that the ML refuses to see it's over so he will spend years chasing after the FL only to be met with the same indifference and distrust that he showed her for 7 years. I actually think this was a fitting end. She left resolutely to start her new life and find her own happiness while the ML can only chase after the love he will never catch again in his life.
I can't think that there is such a useless man.. women's patience has a limit.. FL's character and best friend are the best.. sometimes it doesn't make sense, when there are such useless men..

There isn't really an open ending. The FL saw the ML from a distance, wished him happiness, and continued into the airport. The FL has made up her mind and the ML is wishful thinking.
This is a decent version of this drama. The background music is too loud, but it isn't during the entire video.
I agree. I actually think it was a fitting ending. She left to find her own happiness while he now stuck in the pit he put her in. Now he is the one who loves someone and is met with only indifference and distrust. To me, the ending shows that he will spend years chasing after her (just as she did him) but she will never reconcile with him. If she were going to reconcile with him, she would've done that when he was burned to save her or when she realized he really did jump off the cliff for her. Even when she realized he was willing to die for her, she wasn't moved at all. She was completely indifferent to him. There is no love there anymore and that isn't going to change no matter how far or how long he chases her.
I do like that the fl lead left the useless man but wished it showed that the fl got together with her senior.
She forgave him because she wants to forget him. There is nothing wrong with it. It was ml wishful thinking to chase fl with his lame body😒😒😒.Fl has gone for her good future and in her future there won't be a trash man like this. No open ending like everyone said. But I find the Bi xinyi version best because that explains everything

At least this version much better than Bai Xinyi Zhu yiwei version and Liang Siwei version.
The plot more clear and rational especially about that scheming sibling. And didn't change Haichuan brother character to villain like in liang siwei version.
It's pretty clear FL leave scumbag ML eventough didn't end up with 2ML and that Haichuan was FL biological brother.
