Schaaf I call thumbnails click bait because sometimes I can't remember the word thumbnail... And about thumbnail... NEMA PROBLEMA in Croatian means NO PROBLEM...
Doesnt need it. Its as docile as a 250 if you are gentle. Anyone hamfisted with the throttle will be in trouble on any bike even with traction control - it isnt a magic wand that makes a shit rider into Mick Doohan.
Following the Z900 raw from beginning. This one is insane. Pure adrenaline. Love. The Dunlops seem really good. On the wet surface as well as I saw in your previous Raw ones.
thanks man!! I recently got a comment in which someone complained about these Dunlops. I said I was happy with them. But I might have to take that back. This weekend I was on a Ninja650 with the same Sportmax Dunlops. And they seem to have a problem with getting hot very quickly and then starting to smear. No wonder they worked well on the Z900 for me. It was less than 10°C outside.
Cool video as always. I did think that you were able to push harder on the GSXS750! I have gone for purchase of this bike because of your video and inspiration. Thank you!
Yes, you did and I went with the GSXS750 as my new bike! I love it! Video's such as yours are my decision makers, as in NY we are rarely able to test ride the bike. I did like the look of the Z900 more, but now the GSXS all black version has grown on me. It rides and handles beyond my capacity at the moment. But I love it carving the city traffic.
Echt beeindruckend!
A short but fast and furious ride and i loved it. You seem to have an affinity with a lot of bikes and you ride them very well with little or no more than the briefest of advance practice. This is one of those rides where you really just went for it!! Great video. As Always Ride (and speed) Safe.
thanks Jezza! Quickly adapting to any bike out there indeed is my biggest skill. All thanks to staying and learning for years on the wobbly ass Honda CB500 :)
Awesome! 👍🏻 However, this video makes me feel sad for all the poor Z900s which are ridden daily in big cities. They also deserve the Schaaf-Treatment. Life is unfair 😢😉
Ride safe!!! PS: Coole Pics
This video convinced me to buy this bike, I have the same style of riding and it seems you feel confortable with the bike. I've a 650 suzuki but the power on 4th isn't enough to confortable riding my private track so I was craving more power since a long time.
Any plans on "SCHAAF-TREATING" the MT-09... I would really like to see how my dream bike fares against the Z900 since it's a direct competitor price wise ;) I already watched the 1000PS Review, but im more interested in seeing it "in action" in the hands of a (in my opinion) skilled rider. Keep up the good work!
unfortunately I don't have access to one. I'll upload a couple of laps from the handling track soon though. But basically it's rather simple: the MT09 is a complete hooligan. Wonderful engine. Sharp brakes. But it's the opposite of refined. Snappy throttle response. And rather soft suspension, which was the biggest shock to me. If I could only own one bike I'd rather have the Z900. But since I'm used to spongy suspensions I had massive fun on the MT. More than on the Z. But the Z is, overall, the better motorcycle.
Well it's a shame there won't be a MT09 video on the roads of Austria and or Italy. But I'm looking forward to any MT09 related content from you, and I'm keeping my fingers crossed to see someone lent you one so you can really try to ride it on your own terms. Ever since I saw the 2017 model I fell in love and after riding on it (as a pillion since I don't have a full license) at the MT Tour in Croatia I knew that it will most likely be my next bike. I currently own the MT03 2016 model and every CB500 video gives me hope and just shows how the lower cc bikes can keep up with the "big boys" ...but the 3 cylinder engine that Yamaha made just won me over. The Triumph Street Triple RS will probably be too expensive and I never realy was a fan of 4 cylinders so Yamaha seems to fit the bill perfectly ,altough the Z900 is the best bang for your buck bike in my opinion and is a more "COMPLETE"(refined) motorcycle
Nice riding skills. I've read some reviews that say this bike is boring given the engines smooth power delivery. I'm considering this bike or a tuono. Japanese reliability Vs Italian passion.
thanks! I wouldn't call the Z900 boring. Not at all. But the Tuono is probably THE most exciting bike out there you can buy right now so the comparison is a bit tricky ;)
Heyy Schaaf awesome vdo man !! ;) please tell me hows the slipper clutch feel while agressive downshifting. Also please let me know the avg fuel consumption the bike will give if rode decently at 100 kmph...lol & what are those scraping sound while cornering. eg. 2:24. keep vlogging good luck.
the slipper clutch feels like a well working slipper clutch. I haven't checked the fuel consumption. The scraping sound comes from my guardian angel grinding his teeth.
No I mean is it very smooth or you feel some vibes or sound...!! I rode Z900 waiting to ride MT 09....Already know that MT 09 is insane bike and not good for city rides ....Even then i will be waiting for your MT 09 RAW footage lol ;)
looks like this bike got alot of punch :) oh yeah, can you actually reset the dash to make the blinking at the rev counter go away ? kinda annoying to see it blinking above certain rpm right ?
yea you can. It was still set to 'break in' period or whatever you want to call that. But the engine got a proper run-in from the Kawasaki guys before they gave it to me. Wise move ;)
yea, front wheel slips are not a nice thing to have. But it was kind of amazing at the same time as well. Like mentioned the Z900 gives very transparent feedback. I'm almost tempted to say I could have minor front wheel slips with it on purpose. But - more importantly - it shows me that I'm leaving enough room for error indeed. Could keep it inside my lane without any problems!
@@Schaaf Hi, hijack this comment from 3y. I am currently own this bike (Z900 2017) and I hate that you're absolutely correct about the feedback of the bike. It give me everything, from how slippery the road is, how bad the tyre are, etc. But, is the front wheel kinda small (comparing to the rear wheel) contribute to the front wheel slip ?
Hi Schaaf, could you say me how tall you are? i am 1,98m (6'5) and i want to buy the z900. Do you think it is enough comfortable and what is your experience? Greetings from germany!

Danke!!
Thank you. im going to have to test ride one, if it isnt fast enough i wont enjoy it. my 2013 ZX636r was perfect. had alot of power and mid to high grunt great at wheelies and awesome in twisties, im just looking to try something else out. im an all around rider. i do dig racing roll racing love twisties and wheelies i want another bike that can do it all.
Hey, just wondering. Why is it that you blur out the speedometer? Even if you are going above the limit, it is still obvious that you are going over the speed limit.
If you haven't seen Smo's video on how he blurs/removes the information on his dashboard display; he has a filter on his camera that seems to simply block the dashboard image, I don't know whether you would like to use a filter like that and of course it wouldn't work on analogue speedometers but maybe you can safe yourself some editing hassle that way, where that method is applicable
I think you like the z900 but your hooligan side is pulled to the mt-09. You should be the first on the internet to do a full on comparison between the mt-09 and the z900 only. Just those two bikes on those dreamy roads, at the same time. Mano a Mano. I'm sure you have a friend or two who would be willing to participate.
something might be wrong with my ears, but i just cant make the sound of its inline 4, the stock exhaust sounds almost like a parallel twin somehow LOL
vielleicht mit sowas? www.camforpro.com/gopro-windslayer-windschutz/?gclid=CjwKEAjwjPXIBRDhwICRg-DbgHISJADP6QXp9FjilNSoaVijzOO4-NAAT1aqwyn0O4MVyRiJX-HSnxoC8h7w_wcB
IMO, the Z900 is a butt ugly bike as a whole, but from Schaaf's onboard POV it looks pretty cool. Nice sounding engine too... Well, I rode the whole winter, but this video inspired me not to pussyfoot around that much next time. :-))

Danke dir!

probably a good idea
Did you blur out the speedo? Also, I've seen you ride a hell of a lot harder than that!
in conditions like these? Not on my channel.

yes I heard from this too. I'll experiment with it at one point for sure
Does the bike on the handlebar part vibrate at high speeds?
nope!
You got vibrations in 3500-4000 rpm (75-85 km/h) High frequence vibrations that make my right fingers num.
Your speed is good, just for that dirty road, don´t touch ECU, engineers knows what they do ! Very good slip-on. Kawasaki: simply the best !

neither do i, yet i'd love to :)
me too
geez .. you must have balls like bowling balls D: .. pretty dope ride (y)
danke Manuel!
I do the same thing with my right pointer finger sometimes lol
:)
Ok
Hi QuickShifter up ?
clutchless shifting
something might be wrong with my ears, but i just cant make the sound of its inline 4, the stock exhaust sounds almost like a parallel twin somehow LOL
lol
Danke, Schurrli! :)
TheBlauKopf bitte! :)

what mean "raw" onboard?
onboard video without any edits and/or music etc.
Liked it but look like lonely place no car bikes passing cool for corner fun
true
Verdammt zügig... lg
danke!!!
IMO, the Z900 is a butt ugly bike as a whole, but from Schaaf's onboard POV it looks pretty cool. Nice sounding engine too... Well, I rode the whole winter, but this video inspired me not to pussyfoot around that much next time. :-))
always depends on the tarmac
👍💪👍💪
thanks!

Just be safe You Tube vids are not worth your life.
no worries I learned this the hard way. Although I never rode this way for UA-cam but for my own pleasure.
Echt beeindruckend!
