@@justshanygne- but those business owners have already been consumers for some years so they should know what customers want just from their own experience alone.
@@justshanygne that is very true. That’s why it’s even harder for the reputable black business to prove themselves and why they deserve their price point. Personally when I think of Rihanna I don't think hair, especially not hair care, which makes this a little odd but it makes sense given she already has skincare as well. If it was hair colour, or bundles I think I would be more onboard because I always associate Rih with her trend setting hair styles. Imma respectfuly pass on this one.
It’s a bit suspicious that black women who we’ve never seen their hair are selling natural hair care products. Products to maintain hair colour would be more apt

Same. I'm very much an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of person, so unless the $6 drugstore products I like stop working or get discontinued, I'm all set. But I do like to watch a video or two of reviews of some of these celebrity products when they first come out.
People are tired of celebrities doing money grabs and just doing whatever products that comes to there mind . I agree with everyone that said they expect hair extensions from her and I'm a Rihanna Stan. Sorry to agree with this one . Black Celebrities aren't exempt from criticism because they black . I use nothing but black owned hair products for me hair and my daughters however beyonce or Rhianna ones is a no buy for me . I'm more with black brands that are accessible to me for hair care. Im definitely one of the that look at owners before they get a dollar of my money once shea moisture became black founded and not black owned . I removed my coins from there pocket .
When I think hair care I don’t think about Rihanna… so I’m kinda surprised, I could understand her selling bundles & maybe something that helps take care of them though
I feel like Fenty Hair was just a cash grab. It would’ve made more sense if it was hair dye because when I think of Rihanna I don’t think of “hair care”. I think of all the colors and cuts she has done. But, I am open to hearing how the products actually work for people.
You said everything I thought. Some of the pushback isn't new considering it's the same critiques when Fenty Skin launched. "Oh, she's not an expert. She's a celeb who actually uses high price skin products and treatments to have perfect skin." So forth and so forth. I think it's fair to say Rihanna has built a stable solid brand where it isn't just stans that buy the products. I also think it's fair to say she's built trust among consumers with both Fenty Beauty and Skin, so why would Fenty Hair be any different. I won't be rushing out to buy any products, but I'm intrigued to see what she'll be offering.
I have the deep conditioner when it was being beta tested, it could have been better. I’m 4b low porosity. However,I like that the bottle has kinky hair for its demo/ instruction. Excited to see what else is coming out
I was really hesitant on spending more money because cecred burned me bad. That mask and conditioner were NOT for my hair idk what science was talking about but fenty hair does do returns and the products that I have purchased before have been great quality so I had to give her a try.
I was thinking hair bundles. As long as her prices aren’t ridiculous for the size (*cough* Cecred *cough*) then I’ll buy and try. Her makeup and skin care has been great quality so idk why this wouldn’t be.
I'm gonna get a lot of hate for this but I'm no longer buying hair & skincare products that aren't from a salon range. Salon visits are too expensive to be letting these brands play in my hair. Many of these celebrity lines aren't remarkable & are essentially glorified drugstore products, probably worse. I don't think my decision stems from being anti-black woman, but I don't like when my existence as a black woman is used against me to make me participate in a hypercapitalist society. I'm sorry but being forced to participate in a capitalist society to prove our beauty/worth is not gonna liberate us. It actually puts a lot of pressure on us to support, in a way that white women or other races of women don't have to. I'm also tired of pocket-watching black people, like who cares how they spend their money? If buying a Louis V bag is what brings you happiness vs shilling out money to the beauty industry then that's your business. My solution to this is to just become a conscious shopper & shop based on my unique individual needs as a woman 1st, even though I'm a black woman, finding what works, sticking to it, & repurchasing, sometimes that means skipping out on things. I think celebrities, especially black women celebrities, are a little too comfortable marketing to us, while not addressing the individuality of black hair. Yea, Rih is going to make this "for all hair types" but you KNOW who the marketing team is betting on to support her, US. So yea, I say all that to say that black women creators aren't entitled to my money simply bc they are black women & are selling something to me. It has to truly be for me. Same as black men aren't entitled to me simply bc I'm black. These companies, brands, celebrities have to fight for our dollars. If she flops bc black women didn't support her then that's really not our problem, that's Rih & her marketing team's problem & they better come correct next time. But please let's stop acting like we are the least desirable & marketable race of women bc we aren't out here supporting brands like Cecred & Fenty Hair. It's deeper than hair. Do what you feel is best as always, but let's not get too political & "black woman this & that" about it bc they are billionaires at the end of the day & they will be alright if we don't buy their products.
Everything you said can be applied to most if not all major non black brands and y’all keep zeroing in on celebrity brand celebrity brand when I said it’s done to black brands/owners in general. And lol yeah white woman and women of other races aren’t pressured/feel the need to support their own or be more picky with who they support because they … already support their own/are the target audience for most of the brands. They are very rarely intentionally shown products/brands are not for them. Baby it’s ur money, spend it how you want but ppl who freely spend their money with brands that openly play in their face and then often complain about it (emphasis on then complain about it) but have a Declaration of Independence long reasons why they’re they’re skeptical and black owned brands to need to fight and prove etc. will always be weird and counterproductive to me and often times it rarely stops there.
So true. The whole ‘support black businesses’ sometimes is just a tag line people use to encourage black people to make them rich. Like you said it’s unlikely the hair products are something remarkable as she’s not a hair specialist so do what works for you. If it’s salon products great, beauty supply store great, Fenty hair great
Girl this rant was unnecessary and you have alot to unlearn and relearn. Black people in general just lack self awareness and would find the world of excuses to not support their own. Non black women don't feel pressured because they generally support their own races way more than they do other races. Ive been friends with mainly non black women and girl I've seen it. They naturally stick together and black people are mostly lagging behind. But whatever.
@@djlivvy46 lmaooo likeeee hellooo?? If they handed out invitations to the cookout to everybody too we wouldn’t have 99% of the problems we do in the world. 🥴
I do agree with this for the most part. But I do think there’s an additional layer. Generally speaking, I do think there’s a different and harder level of standards when a public figure or the owner is the face of their own brand. Even consider all the black products in Target, we grabbed Mielle, Camille rose, tgin, etc without seeing the owners hair but tph had some skepticism. I also don’t know if Fenty designer fashion line is the best example in this argument because it was stated it was discontinued due to low sales and speculated in articles that the low sales was due to her fan base largely not being the demographic for that price point. Nonetheless, imma test out this hair care line and don’t support the purely ignorant comments but to each their own.
No I mentioned Fentys designer line for a reason. Her fans weren’t her target audience for that line. Ppl that could afford luxury clothing were the target audience same way Ivy Parks target audience were athletic wearers not Beyoncé music listeners. Their celebrity would hopefully bring in costumers as well but they had specific target audiences just like other brands and just like savage x fenty has a different target audience than fenty beauty. I know fashion designers/stylists irl (black ones at that) that said Fenty was intentionally being ignored because they didn’t Rihanna coming into their space. Which is the same thing said about Kanye and Yeezy. Consumers who purchase from other lvmh brands were also saying they’re not spending that type of money on a fashion line from Rihanna. But Victoria Beckham and The Olsen twins have lines that costs 3x as much and The row gets recommended amongst bw in luxury fashion content often. Also it’s done to black owned brands as a whole not just celebrity black owned brands. One person said something (incorrect) about the honeypot a few years back and hundreds of ppl took it and ran with it calling for ppl to stop buying it and for it to be taken off shelves to name an example.
Honestly I would’ve liked to see her do extensions .. hair perfume, wig caps, swim caps, tracks, wig glue, gel, braid spray, etc. many of these companies use fragrance so I won’t be able to try it. But yeah, I want to see celebs do something different.
I'm going to try it. Riri as a businesswoman puts out quality. She isn't just slapping her name on something or knocking off something and sensing it out!! And THAT PART to the Balenciaga comment!
.....i applause Riri.......I don't care if she wears wigs or weave.......its called hair care.....lets support her......one of the well-kept secrets is that her counterparts wear wigs and weaves too!!!!!!
With the shade being throwed on RiRi imma jus say, "Got2be, Mielle, Combat gel, & Ebin." Now excuse me while I search for a pre order notification website for fenty hair❤️
Business are here to make money, but the majority of celebs are just putting their name and face on a line. I would not be surprised if Rihanna helps with color selection and is part of the approval process because it needs to feel like it comes from her, and for the most part they do a good job with that, but she’s not in the kitchen whipping up shampoo and conditioner. Kendo is behind her brand and LVMH are behind them and they have an entire R&D team who develop and formulate these products. From my experience traditional beauty/hair brands really focus on ensuring the products work vs just trying to sell you on a celebrity name. Fenty was innovative in terms of the range of foundation they came out the gate with, but I haven’t been that impressed since then.
Well any brand can slap their name onto anything and sell it to you if they have the money regardless of quality. The celebrity brands still have teams like the other brands though in place meant to ensure products are of quality too so shouldn’t it come down to what the actual brand puts out and not who’s behind it because with the same train of thought 2/3s of beauty executives in the beauty industry are men who don’t wear makeup don’t wear wigs don’t do wash n gos etc. they hire people who figure it out for them. The owner of Ebin Nee York is a man who’s employees have outed how the company feels and treats its main demographic yet there are bw still saying they’re not gonna stop using it. So that’s my point won’t stop giving money to companies that blatantly disrespect them but can name all the reasons they won’t buy something before even knowing what it is. Also my comments weren’t exclusive to celebrity owned brands it’s black owned brands in general. Black restaurants black entertainers, black content creators, small black businesses the list goes on.
I'm like 10 seconds in but I love most things Fenty I've tried, Hella Thicc mascara is so good for me, looking like bambi most of the time since I've found it. Im in.
Let's be honest people are struggling financially, residing in their vehicles, food insecurities, etc,. Now, these so called celebrities are only interested in their economic security. Hence, eventually will choose themselves over makeup and wigs because this economy is tanking.
But ppl are still buying makeup and hair products. I’m not talking about ppl that are choosing to spend less in general because they’re spending less in general. I’m specifically talking about who are actively still buying and posting/promoting that they’re buying. Literally saw someone the other day do a storytime how they went Kendra Scott and after being racially profiled … still bought something from there. Which is the point will actively purchase from brands that don’t want you to/disrespect you but black designers have to prove why they’re worth your money.
@@justshanygne I understand your point. However, the fact remains people are financially struggling. And, at some point they will cease paying these exorbitant prices. Or will suffer the consequences of being homeless, residing in their vehicles, or in the streets with their makeup and wigs.
I won’t be buying this one either since I have so much hair stuff already, but I do think it makes much more sense for her brand because she already has the beauty line and this will be another arm of that and probable sold at Sephora.
Yes, speak on it. You are either going to support if you can, if not it's not in your price point then purchase what you can, wish that person well so you don't block your blessings with the negativity.❣❣❣❣ No one is forcing you to purchase these products. Keep it positive people.
Those expectations are placed on black owned brands not just black celebrity brands. But even amongst celebrity brands those expectations are not consistent.
You made excellent points!!!! As far as Fenty Hair....it's hair care products! We buy hair care products ALL THE TIME, and as you stated, we are not doing deep research on those owners, we just buy it. Rhianna HAS proven herself as a conscious business owner.
SPEAK ON IT!!!!! We have all these caveats for black owned biz and NONE for others. Btw WYN beauty is GREAT! We as in us need to think about why we have caveats and why we meet fenty and others with negativity. Someone benefits from that thinking and discourse and it ain’t us.
It's one thing to decide you don't want to spend your money on a brand but our community is the only community to go out of our way on our social media soap boxes and announce to the world that we aren't going to support each other. We need to do better.
What helped Beyonce was that she showed her actual hair. Now the critical thinker would ask, is this healthy hair a result from a full clinical study using Cecred products only? But that's separate discussion. I don't know what Rihanna real hair looks like. Like I don't think I've ever really known. I know her style but I don't know what her actual hair looks like. If she were to sell bomb ass wigs, I'd love to see it. But with haircare needs a personal testimony, I'd like to see what they're working with. Taraji has done it. Beyonce has done it. Tracee has done it. I'd like for Rihanna to do it as well.
@@justshanygne they definitely did. And rightfully so. Hair isn't like clothing it's very quite personal and almost an extension or reflection of health. So people want to see and believe the face of the brand could actually use and benefit from their own products
@@Contessa_Savannah they don’t do that for k18, ouai, olaplex, redken, colorwow, living proof and all the other trendy hair care brands that black women/stylists purchase from promote and use but it’s the haircare brands by ppl like them or geared towards them that need to prove themselves before they can try it?
@@justshanygne well a lot of those brands were originally for professional use only. For a while olaplex was never sold to the general public. So if you were going to the salon regularly, getting your hair bleached and colored, those were the top products to use to keep hair healthy. And they actually gained a strong following from the clients because of the results. The proof never needed a celebrity endorsement when the client was the proof. I heard about olaplex over 10 years ago and it was from regular women that dyed there hair often but had really luscious hair. That's what people want to see, the benefits.
@@Contessa_Savannah But we’re not talking about originally and that’s also the point. The content creators making these products go viral are simply purchasing these products talking about it and ppl go buy it. Not because some of the brands have a history of being used professionally lots of them literally don’t even know that given how young they are but because a popular tik toker said it was good that’s all it takes for some bw to go buy it yet content creators did the same exact thing showed their results with Cecred and they were accused of lying about their results … even if you could literally see what they were describing.
I recently saw a Fenty ad that appeared to be promoting some Fenty Fashion. And I thought it makes sense for Rhianna to swing back and try to get her fashion brand popping again. After all she's a business woman/owner. It's not that deep
The way I see it, the people who are complaining that she will not do well in hair care because she wears wigs and weaves are the same people who don’t take care of their hair underneath their own wigs and weaves. If you wear protective styles often you know your hair still requires good products or it will dry up and break off.
When it came to Mary J.’s collaboration with Giuseppe Zanotti, it was no surprise to me that that collaboration came because if you are a true Mary fan, she always sang about her Giuseppe’s! I expected nothing less. The fact that people said that about the boots was not a surprise, neither was it a surprise that they sold out. As far as Rihanna doing Fenty Hair, do it. Please do it. We are our own worse enemies at times. Just as sure as they will go buy Olaplex, they can support Rih like they did Bey, Taraji, and Tracee just to name a few. If not, hey, it’s cool. It’s your choice, and your coin. ❤
Helloooo!! In every other conversation about the black community there are other black ppl with internalized anti blackness that derail the conversation or some type of advancement. Im not sure why ppl are arguing so hard that it wouldn’t exist in this conversation.
I am one of those people that literally only shop from black businesses. Except for about the supermarket i do Grocery shopping from. But for hair products, i shop from a small black business owner, she's pricey but its fine. I even had the salon hairstylist discourage me from shopping at her and instead shop from the syrian store because they're cheaper and ive actually considered it. But i won't. Also i haven't tried fenty or beyonce because i don't live in America and ordering make up online without trying it isn't wise. I really want to try the fenty foundation, but idk how I'll get it. I want to try beyonce cecred but I'll try it next year and whenever fenty hair launches, ill try that too. I literally support our people, but i won't lie sometimes i hate doing so because many of them are unpleasant and lack customer service skill and i don't want to support the other races but idk.
Ill try it if I see/hear good reviews from consumers, and if hair dressers I like start putting the products in their rotation ( without sponsorship). That’s what made me try olaplex.
They always will have one standard for Beyoncé in all her achievements and proving herself time and time again. I can’t count how many times I heard “well it’s not that I don’t like Beyoncé, I just haven’t seen her real hair” no…you’ve seen it and since she’s not bald like you and your mama you have these excuses. Rihanna has worn more extravagant wigs than any artist maybe only behind Nicki Minaj. Even her short haircuts were wigs. Let’s stop with the bs
You are correct. This behaviour is a legacy of slavery. We were taught to distrust each other ,not support each other and not to believe black is beautiful. We as a people are still struggling to overcome this bias we have toward our own people. I keep hope alive that we will overcome this attitude someday.
You better preach….. I love how you broke it down for every category. It’s so sad that black creators and business owners have to be subjected to so much scrutiny. The fact that Beyoncé had to prove to the nay sayers that her hair was real was bull s..t Ijs.
I’m with you EXCEPT for the Serena part because honestly I had that thought to myself. It’s not about supporting black in her case it’s the fact I’ve literally never liked her makeup nor known her for her makeup looks. So it seems like a money grab in a field she hasn’t built a community in. That would be like buying a diet book from Lizzo. It’s not your crowd … or hell how about it’s like buying a book from me about how to be famous. Ion know nothin about that 😂 🤷🏽♀️
But Lizzo is actually very open and often documents her dieting because she’s trying to lose weight and I believe vegan or a vegetarian. And she is visibly losing weight so actually it would make sense to me to buy a book on dieting/weight loss from someone you actually see dieting and losing weight. The problem is a lot of ppl equate healthy to body size so because she’s still plus sized she’s automatically deemed unteachable in the subject even though she’s gotta be pretty healthy and agile to sing and dance and a stage every night while playing a flute when a lot of skinny ppl can’t walk up a stair of flights without breathing hard. All that to say women who wear/are able to keep makeup wigs etc on while performing high level competition could tell me a thing or two about makeup nails and hair and also something ppl were suggesting they do.
@@justshanygne I understand what you’re saying but just because someone has a lot of experience dieting doesn’t mean they should advise others if they haven’t been successful in it. She can advise me on how to fail. She is visibly slimming down but let’s not be naïve it’s the Ozempic trend that they are all on.
too me it's quite simple. If it's for you, make the purchase. If it's not, keep it pushing !!!!! The hate is REAL. Sweet geezus. People will support everyone except our own . My mother made "home made" cakes from scratch. Folks wanted them cakes but wanted to haggle the price and the thing is she didn't charge nowhere near what she should have. But when they went to the "other" business, they paid the high a$$ prices and then complained about how the cakes were "dry" and "tasteless". Lord, i just can"t.....
They be going to salt bae just so they can get a video of him sprinkling salt on $1k steak but the black owned restaurant chicken and waffles cost $50 and they chest get tight.
Honestly, I feel like people should give grace to Rihanna and Beyonce about how they choose to wear their natural hair. These women have been celebrities prior to even the Natural trend being a thing. I remember in elementary, middle, and high school "perms" were in and during that time in my life they were successful and on tour. I think back then it was a lot harder now to find stylist that knew how to manage their hair. Also the products we know and love today weren't always around decades ago. My go to style when I vacation is not my natural curls it's usually braids. Especially with the amount of concerts and interviews and more over the years we all know natural hair has its BOMB days and its OMG PLEASE WORK WITH ME days. I feel like they didn't have room for error to not look put together which is why they probably didn't show too much natural hair. Also I think it could be something they keep to themselves like Ariana grande has done. She really only lets close people see her with her natural hair. For a long time she only felt comfortable showing off her statement hair which was a ponytail due to hiding damaged hair. Beyonce and Rihanna are both mothers and I myself haven't had a child but I have friends who have and they say their hair fell out or changed pattern. Natural hair is a challenge especially if you haven't mastered it. I think we should let the products speak for themselves.
I don’t think so, I don’t think that the two brands are in competition. If we’re being honest the Cecred buzz has died down although the products are good. I feel like this brand is going the route of Pattern beauty as far as feel.

Get racially profiled at Louis Vuitton and STILL buy (still helping the store meet its quota still helping an employee make commission/keep their job) because you had to “prove a point”
@@justshanygne Pow ! That part ! Think they’re doing a thing but working in reverse 👏🏽👏🏽 Them folks don’t even want them in the store smh

Agreed . Also I’m a loc girlie
i don’t care enough about hair products to try it but i’m curious to hear what the girlies think when it drops👀
Same. I'm very much an "if it ain't broke don't fix it" kind of person, so unless the $6 drugstore products I like stop working or get discontinued, I'm all set. But I do like to watch a video or two of reviews of some of these celebrity products when they first come out.
There’s enough room for both ladies in this Industry. 💛
Rihanna was literally hair goals growing up. I remember wanting all her looks as a teenager
those were wigs sis.
Wig goals…
Serena’s skin tint looks good in store. If I can try Lancôme I can try hers 💁🏾
I am intrigued and may try it. I love seeing more brands come out with products that work on natural hair so I will never mind more being made.
I have never bought from a celebrity hair care line, I’ll wait for your review in this
I can see Fenty home goods because when she came out with the signature style bras a few months ago she was posing on a Fenty comforter set!!! 😍😍
The gag is fenty beauty is not black owned anymore too she sold half of the company to LV
When I think hair care I don’t think about Rihanna… so I’m kinda surprised, I could understand her selling bundles & maybe something that helps take care of them though
I agree with you. I won't be purchasing unless the products are outstanding.
I plan to try it. I have been very pleased with all my Fenty products, so I'm happy to give it a chance.
The irony is that other races of people are in fact VERY intentional about where they spend their money. That is exactly why they are where they are.
@@djlivvy46 lmaooo likeeee hellooo?? Very intentional where they spend their money very intentional who they befriend who they marry who they follow … who they vote for even if it’s not in their best interest.
Exactly 💯
Applaud, verb. Applause is a noun. You applaud someone
With the shade being throwed on RiRi imma jus say, "Got2be, Mielle, Combat gel, & Ebin." Now excuse me while I search for a pre order notification website for fenty hair❤️
Girl, you spoke the truth in this video. And I love it.
I'm definitely trying the products
I'm super excited. i love all the products i have tried by Fenty. Plus I do my own hair always.
I agree with your take
Well any brand can slap their name onto anything and sell it to you if they have the money regardless of quality.
Me too...well said ,,,l totaly agree
Excellent video!!❤❤❤ I love your perspective!! I plan to try FentyHair products at some point!!
I totally grew with you! I’ll try it just because it’s a black owned brand…and because it’s Fenty!

Thank you for saying what needs to be said !!
I really enjoyed watching this video. You hit the nail on the head. FACTS! I’m here for the Fenty Hair. ❤
I’m not buying Fenty hair, because I just suck in general at hair care. But Fenty hair care makes so much sense! How the hell does it not make sense!
Preachhhh. You called all the black people to the circle and told us bout ourselves. Everything you said was on point
Yes, yes, yes!!!! She said what she said, and it's all FACTS. PERIOD!!!!!
This video NEEDS to have hundreds of thousands of views!!! So much Reality covered 💯✨
But really tho, why would you shoot a hair care ad, wearing a wig?🤔
Valid but it also sounds like the brand isn’t just natural hair care
I'm like 10 seconds in but I love most things Fenty I've tried, Hella Thicc mascara is so good for me, looking like bambi most of the time since I've found it. Im in.
I wonder if it works on 4c 🤔
You tell ‘em sis ! I love, ❤ your business insights commentary. 🎉
I won’t be buying this one either since I have so much hair stuff already, but I do think it makes much more sense for her brand because she already has the beauty line and this will be another arm of that and probable sold at Sephora.
I’m buying Fenty Hair and the 27 piece from “Fenty Weave” if she ever decides to also make extensions.
I’m very excited for it to finally launch
I’m definitely all for it! I love my Fenty favz! I’m with you 100% speak the truth….
Yes, speak on it. You are either going to support if you can, if not it's not in your price point then purchase what you can, wish that person well so you don't block your blessings with the negativity.❣❣❣❣ No one is forcing you to purchase these products. Keep it positive people.
there's a diff set of expectations when it comes to celebrity brands. I tend to not trust them much, it could be another money grab
Those expectations are placed on black owned brands not just black celebrity brands. But even amongst celebrity brands those expectations are not consistent.
Gurrrrl! I agree with you totally. As for me personally "Fenty Forever" 😂😂
You made a HUGE POINT❤
You made excellent points!!!! As far as Fenty Hair....it's hair care products! We buy hair care products ALL THE TIME, and as you stated, we are not doing deep research on those owners, we just buy it. Rhianna HAS proven herself as a conscious business owner.
SPEAK ON IT!!!!! We have all these caveats for black owned biz and NONE for others. Btw WYN beauty is GREAT! We as in us need to think about why we have caveats and why we meet fenty and others with negativity. Someone benefits from that thinking and discourse and it ain’t us.
I’m gonna post about wyn, just got a lot going on right now.

Can't not wait for the strengthen hair products my hair sheds so bad
Yessss…. You preaching today!!! Pass the collection plate
Not 2 scoops of hair though 😂😂😂😂😂.
They said the same exact thing about Beyoncé when Cecred was announced tho.
I signed up too I’m interested to see what it has to offer
Ur skin looks beautiful
I recently saw a Fenty ad that appeared to be promoting some Fenty Fashion. And I thought it makes sense for Rhianna to swing back and try to get her fashion brand popping again. After all she's a business woman/owner. It's not that deep
Listen I pretty much have every gloss bomb that came out, all body care, all skin care. So yes I will be getting hair care as well
The way I see it, the people who are complaining that she will not do well in hair care because she wears wigs and weaves are the same people who don’t take care of their hair underneath their own wigs and weaves. If you wear protective styles often you know your hair still requires good products or it will dry up and break off.
Exactly!
Malcolm X asked the question, “Who taught you to hate yourself?” Great video. Wish it could go viral.
Helloooo!! In every other conversation about the black community there are other black ppl with internalized anti blackness that derail the conversation or some type of advancement. Im not sure why ppl are arguing so hard that it wouldn’t exist in this conversation.
Points. Were. Made 👏👏👏
I am one of those people that literally only shop from black businesses.
Great points!
Tell it Shanygne, tell it. So many bossy people about these random requirements.for the launches.
You nailed this! Subscribed! ✅
You are correct. This behaviour is a legacy of slavery. We were taught to distrust each other ,not support each other and not to believe black is beautiful. We as a people are still struggling to overcome this bias we have toward our own people. I keep hope alive that we will overcome this attitude someday.
Slavery happened precisely because this behaviour already existed.
You better preach….. I love how you broke it down for every category. It’s so sad that black creators and business owners have to be subjected to so much scrutiny. The fact that Beyoncé had to prove to the nay sayers that her hair was real was bull s..t
Ijs.

I agree on all points! 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾
I think we should let the products speak for themselves.
lmao i know the higher ups at fenty were punching the air when cecred was announced first😂
I don’t think so, I don’t think that the two brands are in competition. If we’re being honest the Cecred buzz has died down although the products are good. I feel like this brand is going the route of Pattern beauty as far as feel.
