Thank you so much for sharing your story! I can relate to a lot of similar circumstances. I started in 1993 making soft glass beads on a Minor torch and have gone trough many changes since then. For me the sales target keeps moving and is overall much more challenging than say in the late 90's when I was doing Art Fairs, selling online and a member of a local artist co-op. My wife and I even had our own store for a few years but these days I am on the torch a lot less. I have been uploading marble making videos on our channel but I can always learn something from others such as yourself. Keep at it!

I'll be honest sharing like that felt a bit strange but Im happy to see people relate to what Im doing and my experience. This wont be the last video like this I do. Ill definitely be checking out your channel. I'm always looking for more glass related UA-camrs.

I have a similar getting started situation as you had. Many years of soaking up as much content as I could a lot of it way beyond my expectations of what I could do one day, and about the same amount of years researching and gathering tools and equipment. I will be starting to melt in the next month or so and I really agree with what you’re saying about how we all succeed more when we lift each other up to be the best we can be at this craft. Your channel as new as it is to me has definitely gave me inspiration and good knowledge to really get at this thing. So keep it up I’ll definitely be tuning in now and in the future so thank you! From one Zack to another. Keep on melting
A shot glass tutorial aside from other functional pieces would be great!

That’s cool, I’ll definitely have to get a shot glass tutorial done at some point. I’m kinda working on a list of things to work on for the next few uploads. I’d like to plan them early so I can always be sure to have another upload every week

Thanks for sharing! Tungsten tweezer are great but there is still things where stainless steel tweezers are better for. So if it's time to replace your's buy both if you can.

I think getting both was going to be what I do anyway. Im pretty sure I can get stainless tweezers local but I might have to order the tungsten ones. Can you explain why you prefer stainless for some things?

@zacstronautglass the tungsten are rounded (at least mine are) so they can be difficult for grasping "cold" glass. Also sometimes tearing away glass is easier with the stainless but that's case dependant, probably just something you would have to experiment with to suit what works best for you. Hope that makes sense.

@ definitely 👍 I’m figuring having multiple set on the workbench is probably good anyway. I spend more time looking for my tweezers than I’d like. Usually not far and sometimes still in my hand.
