Magic Ruler is a total banger. I remember as a kid wanting literally every ultra in this set (kinda could say that about a lot of vintage sets, but this one hit different). The toons here look so clean. Congrats to anyone who got these cards!

@@jessejive1174 Yes easily hundreds and probably thousands in packs. I remember going to like Toys R Us and other places and just grabbing handfuls of them every week and multiples of tins and plenty other things. Actually multiple days out of the week. Very fortunate upbringing for the early parts of my life.

I was more so speaking to just having had these old cards and regretting that myself and parents didn't really care or didn't really know about the potential collector value of them later down the line. Now almost 20 years was a long time ago but I'm sure I had a good amount of 1st edition holos that I took horrible care of but can't remember lol
@@azrazerz1445 you don’t have to remember, I’m telling you you did not have all these first edition cards from the set and if you didn’t have them in first edition, then you didn’t have these cards... oh you mean you had cards with the same artwork on it? Why are you bragging about that because they would be worthless now. I also highly doubt we spent thousands of dollars on booster packs. Even if they are damaged, upload these thousands first edition comments and all these holographic cards and a photo. You didn’t have these cards and I know you weren’t lying but I’m telling you you didn’t. You probably bought anUnlimited starter deck and had a bunch of worthless common versions of these cards.
Never use Beckett. A PSA 10 will always be more valuable then a beckett 9.5.

Every single opening of these boxes will have an insta LIKE on my part regardless of what SU pulls or how he acts....is not even nostalgia or meta hate, is just that i miss this quality the cards used to have - yk, the Boldier Box around the art, Softier Name Box design - i call it the Pre ARC V printing. Cards used to look more NeutralProfessional, EgyptianDarkThemed and say..... way less ClearlyChildrenCardGame'ish ?

Dude. Back in 2010 I bought a 1st Ed box of (Spanish) LOB for $23. I scaled and sold the holos for about $75 and the rest of the packs for $50 or so. If i kept it sealed it would have been worth an insane amount. RIP

The funny thing about that toon mermaid is that the centering is off from left to right and it still got a better score than the previous cards that had a lot better centering

I always thought Relinquished was a secret in MRL because every time somebody pulls it the text looks like its silver. i know the giveaway is that the secret foil is not there, but on some secret rare cards, you can barely tell.
I have two blue eyes toon dragon. My brother literally gave them to me because he said he wanted to get rid of them. Got them graded, 9.5 on one and 9 on the other!

Figured this might be an okay place to ask, I found my 15+ year old yugioh collection and amongst the cards there was 1st Edition LOB Blue-Eyes White Dragon and Dark Magician, they're pretty beat up with white corners. Would it be worth grading them at all, even just for authentication purposes?

Another good example why you should never grade with BGS. Terrible consistency. They graded a Toon Mermaid with a huge left side and small right side as a 9.5 while grading other cards with darn near perfect centering a 9 or 9.5. I always grade CGC or PSA.

love the idea of grading but these days its kind of a joke. those were all pack fresh and getting 9s. Grading has gotten way too technical. Not to mention the accounts from customers of graders damaging their cards to give them lower grades..

I was expecting Blue Eyes Toon Dragon to be graded 10.
It would be if he went PSA, but its impossible to send cards to them. A Beckett 9.5 is pretty much the same as a PSA 10, but a PSA 10 will be worth more thanks to the name.

Hey, I found my binder while looking for sth and started watching ur vids, I saw that a Jinzo is worth a bit of money and remembered having one. I went to look and its a 1st edition psv-000 but every pharao's servant opening I watch the Jinzo is secret rare yet mine isn't do you know why? my whole card shines not just the picture. Do you know if its worth anything?

How do u get cards rated?
Consider putting on gloves. No matter how clean your hands are you are still leaving marks on the cards. When dealing with something of this value don't take any chances.
I would do gloves and tweezers
