This video is about passion for crochet, making home vintage decore. I love to share some amazing hand made items with you. Love to gift hand made items to people maybe this vintage crochet pattern book will inspire you.
I am so grateful for this crafty community who encourage me to design my own knitting patterns and record some knitting tutorials too.
I hope this video is a crochet inspiration for you or any other craft inspiration do DIY your own clothes - make hand made clothing.
1940s 1950s vintage crochet doilies would you have them in your howe as decore on your tables or your walls? Let us know
Absolutely! I grew up with doilies in my home and seeing them at my grandmother's house. I hate it when I'm watching one of those shows where they are trying to sell a house or remodel one and the say that the doilies have to go because they make the house look like a "granny's house." There is no appreciation for the beauty of the needlework that took someone so long to make.
I am interested watching from Guyana 🇬🇾 south American
Wow 🤩
The doilies are all so beautiful that there is no way to choose a favorite. This book reminds me of the crochet books I inherited from my mother. They only cost her ten cents or fifteen cents and were from various thread companies. One is from 1949 and others are from the late 1950's or early 1960's. Even today I love to take them out and look through them like I did when I was a child. My mother marked the pictures of the projects she wanted to do with a star.
I know that some may be out of stile but somehow the doilies are so pretty to look at and if you know how much work someone put to make these is incredible. I love flipping through old patterns for the same reason.
Those are beautiful…my grandmother used to crochet those. They are masterpieces!
Master pieces love flipping pages of this
I love it. They are what my grandma used to make and now I make them too.
Do you know any books with schematic? My mum follows them not written instructions
Doilies are so pretty. Displaying throughout a home adds a special touch. You know you can make them using heavier weight yarn to make a bed cover or a shawl. I even have a book called porch doilies and it shows how to make doilies to use as rugs. Hope you're doing good and well friends. Have a blessed weekend.
So many beautiful designs. I love most of them and my mum for sure would made them all of there were charts or schematics. My house walls would probably be covered in them if only I lived by myself ;P
Thank you so much for sharing, very helpful.
😃
I’m glad you like it 🥰
Those are gorgeous.
40s and 50s that was time when people were so into making things so many talented hands and amazing designs for sure. I was also surprised how good this book is and how many it can offer - pitty there are no charts or schematics as my mum would for sure made them all
My grandma ad mom had them all around henhouse. Also beautiful lace table cloths that were jus large doilies very fancy and feminine. My mom kept one on her dining room table for a soft look to the room. Always used one when entertains as well.
They are so beautiful and each different and unique
Beautiful doilies, I also like to crochet doilies from a diagram.
so it is called diagram? not chart or schematic? oops
You look beautiful today.
Thank you so much. I have recorded it a few days ago it took me some time to edit and published but I remember putting lots of make up to cover my tiredness (pregnancy takes so much energy for sure) However, thank you so much as it looks that I get better with putting things on my face
@@Knittingilove , try to get as much rest as you can before your precious baby is born. ♥️
@@louettesommers8594 I’m 😊❤️ mostly slow and out of breath quickly but I keep on moving as that’s also important apparently for east labour but who knows for sure 😊❤️
